No wonder the US is what it is...
A country where cowboys and actores become presidents... Guys who don't know crap about politics running a country...or should I say, The World...
Bush is a joke around the entire world, an insult to intelligent people. He should be in a circus playing the clown...
Do you even know every one of you would have to pay $300.000 just to pay your country's debt? And it's increasing every day...
Hell, you put them there, and obviously you seem to like those clowns. Deal with whatever consequences are comming your way.

If the American elections were in Europe I have no doubt the next president would be Ron Paul. We don't like big speeches, wannabe pop stars or cowboys. We like Intelligent people who know how to lead a country.

I was all ready to make this big post about my opinion on how he was probably a good guy and nice enough, but that I didn't agree with his policies. Then it occurred to me that I didn't actually know any of his policies. I know that we are in a war and he had something to do with it. I know there is a lot of negativity about how evil he is.

But I bet that I sadly represent a good portion of ignorant people. I don't know what he has done, his policies I mean. Factual "he signed this into place" sort of things that he has done. Not opinion based facts either, which I seem to read on here often. I am ashamed to say that I am ignorant to the goings on of our government and it's leaders. It is overwhelming and I wouldn't even know where to start. How does one find out the things that the president has done?

I do however know from my cousin (Kerri Briggs) who works in the DOE, that Mr. Bush is a kind enough guy and that she really got along well with him when she met him. My parents have a picture of her standing next to President Bush on their wall. At any rate, I trust my cousin well enough and I'm sure the guy is nice enough. But I am too ignorant on the facts to know much more past that. Oh and no I didn't vote for him either time. I am registered unaffiliated because it seems to me all politicians are the same. I'm a bit disillusioned I suppose.

I like the man.

Sure there are something I wish he had done differently. I’m sure he would have done something differently if he would have know the results, but no one can know what will be.

As for Iraq; He did the right thing. This problem should have been taken care of during the Clinton years instead of letting it fester for 8 years and grow into what it became.

As for the economy; I think it is going along the lines it should. The economy goes up and down and the government has only a small control over this. The weak dollar is a boon for the US because it has allowed companies here to compete again with other countries. Also the tourist trade has boomed because of this. A strong dollar is good, but it does cause problems when it comes to others buying our goods. A level dollar is the best we can hope fore.

George "Nukem" Bush makes a better comedian than a
President. Only because he's not trying to be funny and always
stuffs it up. When he tries to be funny, it's about as funny as
a bear attack, and that's what so funny.

As for that president thing, you would have been better off with
Bonzo the Chimp in there.

He has allowed the US to slide into gutter, destroyed two countries
and is still trying to work out how to F'up another one.
While simultaneously alienating 3/4 of worlds population.

Actually Im not sure what, if anything, that says. Could you be more explicit, because I dont understand.

Really you cannot understand? well its simple Bush arrives/departs 2 onlookers just stare at him, bush waves numerous times , they show no recognition whatsoever.... Two citizens do not even acknowledge their country's leader with a wave or anything. Funny as hell but a small example of the people's general opinion.
AS it goes the question whas do you like George Bush? I posted this link because I would do the same thing these 2 guys did... inspirational with no effort at all.
Do you like George Bush Citizen?

Bush43/Wilson/Hoover will likely, if there is any sanity left in Humanity, and History, will go down as some of the worst US Presidents ever to be in recorded Records.

Let us hope that this era will not be unnoticed, because future generations must ensure that this travesty never be repeated.

I should clarify....the years from 2000 to 2008....a travesty, a blight on history. Well, not as bad as certain portions of the 20th century, I'll admit....but a very, very poor start to the 21st.....

Oh my bad. I just figured it was two random peoples reaction. I didnt realise those two people had become a proxy for all public opinion. How exactly did this happen? Was there a vote? Or even a caucaus? Was it announced and were they properly vetted? We cant have proxy opinions coming from people with unpopular opinions. Do we know they aren't racists for example? Also it's troubling that they are both white since we are supposed to promote diversity. Is it racist that not even one of those we have now named "proxy respondants" are minorities? Shouldnt we address this? Also what is thier wave policy for Pince Edward or Vladimir Putin? Do we even know?

Well, even though I am not an official proxy opinion respondant for 300 million plus people so Im not sure if my opinion matters. I mean afterall I might not even have a popular opinion and that could be very dangerous, as we all well know. However I did post my thoughts on W above, if you are willing to take the chance of being exposed to a non-popular and counter cultural opinion.

President Bush does not run this country based on opinion polls. Right or wrong, he does what he believes is best. Sometimes he is wrong about things, but, more often, he is right. For the haters who acquire their view of world events from bumper stickers, I don't expect you to understand.

I don't think that W. Bush is as bad as he's made out to be. He's not really conservative and libertarian enough for me, but all things considered, he's actually not so bad.

Bush has no redeeming qualities what so ever. Period. Waste of skin, air, time. He was not elected, he is a failure as a president and as a human being. One small step for a man, one giant leap down the monkey ladder.

I do not believe he's been a "great" president, but I believe he has been an OK president. I like him, actually. I totally agree with whoever it was that said he let his advisors steer him wrong. The economy has been handled poorly... but I honestly think considering the hand he was dealt with 9/11, Katrina, the housing & credit bubbles, and the war in Iraq (and no, I do not believe any of the bullcrap theories that we were behind 9/11, the Iraq war was meritless, Katrina was the product of weather manipulation, etc.) anyway, considering the hand he's been dealt, I don't think any president could have retained a robust economy. Also, don't forget, Clinton left a nice fat recession as he left the office... a recession largely created by the economic passing of the buck that gave us that surplus that's so touted.

I also don't agree with Bush on imigration. I am by and large in favor of total border closure all the way around. Hang up a sign on the Statue of Liberty that says "No Vacancy" and let's go a few decades without accepting any more huddled masses, tired, poor, or hungry into our borders. Those who are here illegally need to be corralled and shipped back to wherever they came from.

Finally, I believe that Bush has pandered to the environmental crowd and he's done it for absolutely nothing. No political gain for him, no financial gain for us. No gain = bad business.

Otherwise, I really like him. He's certainly been a much better option than Gore or Kerry, neither of whom I believe were even remotely fit to run this country and would have quite possibly traded her away for a handfull of brightly colored magic beans. The really sad thing is, thanks to complete partisan nonsense, there has remained about 30% of the American population who had some serious anger management issues against whoever the next Republican president following Clinton would have been. These yambags quieted down for about 30 days immediately after 9/11 and gave us normal folks a break... only to slowly churn up the hate machine again once our nation had calmed down a bit. Bush could have crapped out gold nuggets and personally delivered them to that crowd and they'd have still hated him. Unfortunately, hatred sells papers, puts butts in seats in front of the TV, and speaks volumes louder than satisfaction. As a result, we see news reports that state Bush has an approval rating lower than any president in history... regardless of the fact that I've never once been polled, nor has anyone in my family been polled, nor have any of my neighbors I've spoken to about it... curious, eh?

Also of interest is the fact that I got to witness a protest against Bush last year in downtown Bellevue... he was at a fund raiser across the block from where I worked at the time. According to the news, hundreds if not thousands of angry protestors were outside the building... absolutely incredible considering I was watching from my office window and saw, at most, 60 or 70 of the saddest sack bunch you've ever seen waving their little signs and parading around their little upside down flags. The media has blown Bush hating WAY out of proportion and that's truly sad.

I am hoping that in the future George Bush will be seen as a good president. I hate the way liberals have been so cruel in their criticism of him. I admire him for not giving in to public opinion and standing his ground. The majority of us elected him, so I think he is justified in being a strong leader who stays the course. Do we all really know all the inside information he does? No, I don't think so. I think there are just a lot of bitter people who think he stole the election the first time and they can't get over it. He's been blamed for situations that were caused by 9/11. The Democrats backed him for about two weeks after 9/11 and then they saw an opportunity to vilify him. Why can't some people understand that the terrorists are serious about destroying our nation and we have to use new methods to protect ourselves from the enemy? It's not like they are willing to meet us on a battlefield. They are sneaky, and our govt. has to be sneaky to protect us from them. Bush even said in his speech right after 9/11 that the govt. won't be able to tell us some things. He asked for our support. Now there are all these people who object to being 'spied' on. Well, the govt. can spy on me all day long if it keeps me safe from another terrorist attack. As for the idea that 9/11 was some inside job with Bush and Cheney behind it, well it's just too ridiculous to to even respond to.

So many people act as though George Bush is the Devil himself. I've never gotten this. You people act as though he ran over your dog or something. How much control does a President really have in this country anyway? Not much, yet people blame or praise the President based on how well our country is doing. People act as though the Iraq war is a disaster. It may not have turned out the way anyone hoped, but it's nothing in comparison to Vietnam for example. At least some soldiers are giving others hope who didn't have it before. And no one is forcing them to be there, they enlisted all on their own. Something else that most people don't like to talk about is the fact that no matter who the President, after 9/11, almost anyone would have declared war. There are a lot of things I don't agree with Bush on, but he's a politician, so that's to be expected.

Yes I a sure when Time reveals that the 9/11 was an inside job, a lot of people will see Bush highly.

that was sarcasm, just in case...
