Anthrax suspect Bruce Ivins (linked to ATS)

So hurray for watching us. We should start a forum dedicated to what we want those watching us to fix over there in washington. That would probably be the one forum they skip over though. Though seriously. People can't be held accountable for what they say. Its ridiculous. Or better yet, for what they write. These aren't thesis.

Look in defense of Ivins, I have to say that if anyone of us were already suffering from depression and then had the FBI poking around us, and into our lives, because we were working in a field that was being heavily investigated, we would become paranoid very quickly wondering if we were their target.

And who wasn't a wreck after 911 and when the anthrax letters began? I was afraid to touch the mail. I remember throwing anything away that was considered junk mail, and then if there was any question about anything else in a letter, I called the company and asked. I don't think I opened the first piece of mail, I touched all mail, with my hand in a plastic baggie and then wrapped it in a bag and put it in the garbage outside.

Yeah I was pretty paranoid, I didn't think I was a target, I was just thinking of my mail being contaminated from coming through the mail machinery with other possibly contaminated mail. I think most everyone in this country was freaked out a bit at that time.

I don't know if Ivins was responsible for the anthrax letters, I tend to think not, he is just a convenient patsy. Or if he was, I think he was working with the government.

I don't see why Ivins would send the letter to two of the senators who had the power to block the patriot act, send a letter to the guy at the Sun who put one of Bush's daughters in the publication, he was the first to die.

I don't see why he would send the letters to the media, knowing full well they would report on it, or were the letters meant to manipulate and control and intimidate the media, by showing them how easily anyone of them could be gotten to.

I also don't know why the white house staff was pyschic and started taking cipro on 911, the antibiotic prescribed that helped fight off or cure anthrax at the time, a full week before the letters were even postmarked and I don't think they even arrived or made someone sick, or it was known to be anthrax until sometime in October. So why was the white house staff taking cipro from 911 on? Did they know this guy had an obsession with a sorority? LOL

Also under federal law any therapist or caregiver has to notify the person being threatened by a patient. I can't find any info about this social worker notifying anyone that Ivins was dangerous, just that he scared her and she got a restraining order of protection for herself. Anyone seen anything about her notifying law officials or anyone that he supposedly threatened?

And since the FBI or others are clearly monitoring this website, I'm sure the answer to that question will show up in the papers tomorrow.

People being made accountable for what they say, and indeed what they don't say, is one of the cornerstones of fascism and totalitaristic forms of government. They are only possible with a degree of dehumanization, with a degree of simplification of the human psyche, and for that you can't have a population that is communicating with itself and on a learning process. They have to be kept under fear and dogma.

If the world, or just the USA, does fall into fascism of course sites like ATS and indeed most forums on the web will indeed be some of the victims, and the process will be facilitated by the fact that a lot of the people that seek moderation posts in online forums tend to fall into the same mindset, ie, a my word is law sort of mentality. Fortunately it is something which I haven't noticed much of in ATS, perhaps because of the nature of the forums and the topics discussed, but nazi mods are a constant on the internet, and just in the same way people were fingered to authorities by their more repressive neighbours, the same thing would happen on the internet if there were a fascist oversight.

Fascism is always done with the cooperation of a sizeable minority of the population. I know this because, as I have mentioned beforehand, I'm portuguese and we came out of fascism in 1975, so we have an acute cultural awareness of how it functions and how it is brought down.

At the end of the day fascism always falls by the hand of the very people it uses to enforce itself, sooner or later they see that the leadership class, because they are selected positively by being liars and cheats and selfish and indeed sometimes even worse and pathological traits, are not worthy of that position and because they are a minority they are powerless to change the trend, no matter how much surveillence or technology they think they control, at the end of the day they only get away with what the general population lets them.

And it's not really possible to dehumanize a population, as there is always a part of it that just won't fit into the box society tries to make for it. The elites seem to be on track to finding this out this time.

And thus goes on history.

It's like why would someone work with the mental ill who are a danger to themself and others only to end up taking out a restraining order against them?

How many others in that field take out restraining orders on ppl who say wild things because of their illness? Plus, last I checked a mentally ill person isnt creditable so how the hell can a threat by someone uncreditable be bought?

They need to make a new law requiring all doctor and patient talks to be on video recordings to elimitate any doubt as to what a person said and why they said it. It's onlr right since the patient is held against their will in a ward by who knows who with who know what reasons. The reasons could be of craft by the government or etc.

So is this why ATS has been down today? (lost emails etc)

Indeed "prunetacos" only has one post. That member joined, posted one post (with absolutely nothing to do with Anthrax, or any other biological weapon for that matter), and never came back. "prunetacos" could be Ivins, or it could be a geriatric grandmother who loves mexican food.

I do not see how his posting here at ATS about Fraternal Organizations, not Anthrax, has anything to do with this case, or the investigation into his alleged involvement in it.

Personally, I think that whoever released the information that he posted at ATS was to slander the website, and its membership. The credibility of all members who strive to deny ignorance has taken a big hit in the eyes of the general public. Not to mention, that at anytime, any one of us could be singled out by the PTB and thrown into a category with Ivins. Birds of a feather, right? The mentioning of ATS in the documents is to paint a bigger picture against us down the road.

Also, since when is this case referred to as 'Amerithrax'?

Why would they shut down the site and lose private messages because of this?

Seems rather straight forward to me... Someone came on ATS and posted a message of 'interest' and an e-mail address... the rest is now history.

Websites crash all the time, but then this is a conspiracy sight, maybe they did shut it down so they could go through hundreds of thousands of private messages just to make sure there was not more evidence.... and it only took them 4 hours?

I think this may be the 2nd time since i've been on ATS that there's been some sorta link to ATS to a national story. This is all because of the sheer size of ATS.
You have to think it covers topics just about ANYONE can enjoy.

One thing can be said, ATS attracts the crazies .

All they really had to was set up a GooGle Alert for each name they were interested in. If they had one set up for the goldenphoenix hotmail account, they would have gotten an alert once his anonymous post was indexed by Google which does not take long for ATS which is indexed frequently,

I use Google alerts for a bunch of things, its a great tool.

I have read the prunetaco post and can't imagine why they felt compelled to even mention ATS. I mean c'mon one innocuous post...

I don't buy the link from ATS to this guy for a second, especially without real proof that he posted here. I think this is a scare tactic.

Ivins didn't do it. He is a fall guy.

I I'm not going to be surprised if it turns out, the only evidence they could find that he was paranoid, was bombardment of strange phone calls to his house. It'd be ridiculous. I think many of us here on ATS have dealt with odd phone calls and static interruptions and all sorts of other things, and we've probably mentioned it too. So its possible that he could have posted about that on ATS, and now they are scraping at the tiniest crumbs here to make him look like he's something he is not.

It shows the extent of how looney some people are on the website, as if I had to bring that to anyones attention. This only proves for a fact what crazy people are loose and posting ****.
