Puzzle #4 - Color Code

Can anyone fold it? Notice that the bright pink in the middle is exactly in the middle?

...interesting you mention that because when I googled yellowknife + 16 I got a page listing departure times from yellowknife (airport?)....just thought I'd throw that in.

Any progress? Was I being silly about possible solutions or was I spot on?

Yeah, sorry. It just turned red on me again... must be a random thing.

Big hats-off to everyone who has been puting a lot of time into this one. I've put in only about 6 hours or so in the last 2 days here and there. There are soooo many possibilities and directions... rediculous

The sad thing is that the next puzzles will be even more rediculous

Hmmm, interesting thought. Maybe adding or subtracting the colors on opposite sides from each other? And in this vein, the very first bar and the very last bar are the same exact color. Not sure what that means, but just pointing it out. I'll mess around with the two opposing sides and see what I can find.

Possible misdirection:

The solution has nothing to do with the green channel numbers as was seen in the practice round.

The solution might lie within the red/blue channel values along the birght purple bars where the green channel is "0".

This has probably already been discussed, I'm sure

Whoa that was great! Very impressive.

Ok, I think we're onto something with the whole folding thing. I don't really know WHAT we're supposed to do with it, but so far I've found these "coincidences": as I said before, the first and last colors are the same, AND if you fold it in half, the two double-color pairs match up exactly. As I said, I have no idea what this means, but it seems like it must mean something.

And Ian, that's some fancy work you did there. I don't know what it means, but it looks pretty cool. I, too, have been seeing purple bars in my sleep.
