Solid archaeological evidence shows their Long Count calendar ends a Great Cycle in December of 2012.

The speculation is on what if anything occurs then.

Some people do not know how to pick their apples. nevertheless, she damaged the credibility .. and hard won credibility at that .. of serious research

Now, those who in any case were closed-minded about UFO/alien research and claims need only scoff and chortle and point to Blossom Goodchild as 'proof' of there being NO substance to UFO-reseach and discoveries, period.

I can see how this could damage credibility...

But I just don't think so in this case ... I don't think it is a back breaking straw scenario

Every day there are hoaxes being shoved down our throats and those are the real killer ... because it is everyday ... a relentless attack of disinformation in an age where scepticism is running high.

Seriously - have you just decided to use this group as a scapegoat for EVERYTHING that is wrong with the world right now?

I've never met the woman, OR her followers. I haven't read her books, I haven't seen her DVD's and what little I do know - is that no one had to buy anything or pad her pocketbook in any way shape or form to join in on yesterdays events.

All you had to do was look up and let the negativity go for a bit.

But so many people are desperately clinging on to those lower emotions.

Do I blame them? Heck no. I fully understand reasons people are upset, skeptical, angry, vindictive, etc. It's like they've given up on believing anything good about anyone, anything beautiful about anything. They lash out and attack anyone who is "stupid" or "a crackpot" for not being as miserable and depressed as they are.

I guess what I'm getting at is there are forces at work doing everything in their power to capture the human spirit, to eliminate the imagination and desire to believe, the kid in all of us who dares to dream...and the more we parrot those negative mentalities - the stronger those dark forces become - the worse things get.

It's easier to keep a populace enslaved when you have them fighting amongst themselves, pushing out people with "alternative opinions" and killing messengers.

But some people are into that sort of thing.

If that's someones idea of a good time, whatever. But to expect a community of Senstive Hippies to stick around and cater to Hardcore Straights?

This is what foolish hoaxers like her get - she has been preying on naive people with her demon spirit guide and now it has made her look like an idiot, that is what these "guides" do. They give you just enough to convince you it's real then screw you over at the best opportunities.

She probably thought she could make this prediction and it would come and go under the radar, I hope she learned her lesson.

Doing my best.

Right now, I'll be honest - I'm rather stuck behind so many walls of negativity in my current situation that I'm having a hard time accessing the source, and sometimes I'm not even sure if my energies are traveling out that far.

The problem being, they aren't MY negative energies.

So I guess I'll just continue chipping away with the positive hammer until I break through the next wall, and if there's another one...keep on hammering to freedom for as long as it takes.

So, what you seem to 'see' as 'vindictiveness' is ACTUALLY 'disappointed hope'. And sure .. people's hopes in the Blossom-promise --- have led to disappointment. So .. 'disappointed hope' .. not 'vindictiveness. What did you expect people to do when the Blossom-prophecies didn't eventuate --- cheer ?

You seem to be of the belief that before Blossom and her prophecies/promises/assurances hit the scene, that people didn't know how to be 'positive'.

You also seem to be of the opinion that people didn't know how to 'look up' before Blossom came along.

But this is not true .. clearly is not true.

There are loads of posters in ATS alone who are predominantly up-beat .. positive .. humorous .. and happy to share it.

Blossom didn't invent positiveness. She doesn't hold the patent on optimism.

She CAPITALIZED on people's INHERENT optimism and positiveness, hope, trust, belief, wonder.

Again ... people already possessed those qualities !

If they hadn't ... then Blossom's promises would have created NO interest, NO publicity, NO followers and believers .. nothing.

So, to sum up: people don't need Blossom Goodchild to show them a thing.

The woman manipulated, connived, capitalized on people's finer qualities.

Which doesn't say much for old Blossom's qualities .. does it ?
