Yes! I realize it is fake now! But the way it was described on the site made it sound real....But yeah the control issue is a very good point. That should have been a major clue that it couldn't be real! LOL! Duh!

We've had the amazing troup of resident debunkers here at ATS and the belivers and the fence sitters all contributing both for and against.

It's been a relatively collected and civil collection of over 250 pages worth of people working together.

It has been amusing, enlightening and educational.

Nothing is ever truly a negative there is ALWAYS something positive to be gained!

Besides which this has gotten me outta watching FeastII: Sloppy Seconds.

I agree with what's been said a multitude of times and in a multitude of ways in this thread....people truly WANT something real and tangible to confirm their beliefs in Aliens and UFO's and thank goodness for that!

I wish I could run on faith like some people...I envy them sometimes. I'm afraid I'd have to shake hands with an Alien before believing completely (and I'd be looking for zippers...)

I do NOT believe one person will be chosen to see them or hear them etc...

I firmly believe that if they were to come and intend for us to meet and communicate with them... they would just get er done.

A rocket that was launched recently HAD a webcam attached to it- it was on Youtube, I think- and with what can be said about other remote controlled items over the Internet- This could be plausible.

Guess how wide the moon is? a bit over 2000 miles.......
Guess how long the full moon lasts? very roughly + or - 3 days....... depending on where and who is asked.

Did we get pranked? Maybe, but its been talked about a lot whether the moon is an alien base. Some ancient histories speak of a time when Earth had no moon. Perhaps it was driven here? An observatory? What better structure to be a incognito city/alien base than a natural looking one? Dunno just went outside after 1pm est to see only a few stars and a especially bright moon. And then this thought came to me so i researched the Moon's width and its full moon state.

To be fair Mrs Goodchild probably gained such a nice wad of cash from this little hype adventure I doubt very much she cares. tomorrow she will be sunning it up and enjoying the good life

I do feel sorry for the people who rushed to buy her books and things though. Its a sad fact but there are millions of people in the world who are indeed gullible to an extreme degree. Maybe even those who are troubled in life and cling to hopes like that I suppose, I do feel sympathy for them I suppose.

In reality anyone could create a HOAX like this, charge a $1 dollar subscription and probably wind up a millionaire, thats the world we live in unfortunately. We need aliens far less than we need simple common sense I fear.

People also think the world is flat and that we have also have an inner earth. The many things out there that people believe could give you the biggest migrane to date. Yet what you could do if you want to believe in something is just to imagine it up and you'll have just as much evidence as the next person predicting or saying something is plausible or real.

Yes it was Google, not a live feed but improved sat images from a new cam.

OK this thread is almost over now. Looks like blossom is going to have to hide for now.

Let me just say one thing.

Don't let this make you disbelieve in aliens, and how amazing our universe is. Because they must be out there somewhere. Maybe too far to reach. But they are probably out there living their lives right at this moment, I wonder...

I hope this is not off topic. But I think it's nice to finish off by reminding people of the real beauty of our universe, and forget about this fake blossom.

After all .. did they make an appearance when the plagues were sweeping the world ?

Did they make an appearance during WW1 and WW2 .. or when Vlad the Impaler was in business .. or during the Great Depression .. or when feudal lords were throwing people out into the snow in rags .. or when the Industrial Revolution was putting babes under furiously churning machinery for 14 hours a day .. or when children were expected to work at adult tasks for 12 and 14 hour days at nine years of age .. or when slaves were being thrown overboard .. or when entire populations were being slaughtered, etc. ?

Yet a Galactic Federation of Light was prepared to come to the aid of the most privileged, most overfed, most educated, most cossetted populations the world has seen ?

Even had they arrived, I would have questioned their priorities first and motives second.

I doubt this since it would have made sense to not have let the air out of the balloon before the movie came out. . .

We have missed a possibility here. Maybe it was the Aliens that organised the HOAX.

Could have been a bunch of alien kids who decided to have a little chuckle at humanities expense and decided to send a fake message and watch the airwaves as humans scurried around waiting for the big day.

Yes its a very remote possbility but we shouldnt discount the possibility of Alien kids having a naughty sense of humor.

Its an interesting idea I once considered. We always assume aliens are a serious business but wouldnt they have kids too? We dont often consider that a bunch of you ones from another species might tell their parents they are vacationing with each other in the "outer nebulae" and actually go off cruising in daddys insterstellar vehicle and decide to play all sorts or pranks.

Theres actually a wide range of sinister and amusing behaviors we could expect from individual groups of alien citizens if you open your mind to the variety of personalities that are just as likely to exist in another species as in our own.

Its a curious thought which noody often considers.

The real question here is why on earth did this get so big? I mean there has been predictions in the past, but this got really big. I think a lot of people wanted this to happen, but I think deep down inside most knew that Mrs. Blossom Goodchild is just listening to voices in her head.


BTW, I heard Blossom do interviews and I don't think this was an intentional hoax or fraud by her, I just think really believes in her own delusion, a nice lady but deluded completely.
