As we speak a debate is taking place (and it's not new) Was the sphinx erosion caused by water ? if it was when ? because the last time there was enough rain to cause that sort of damage was 10.000 year ago.

As I mentioned in my post this is also something that I find really interesting, and why is it that this question always gets shutdown and called ridiculous by the experts?

EDIT: I said "corrosion" in my post, of course I meant "erosion"

That has always peaked my curiosity as well mega. The sphnyx is clearly eroded by water. What water. When? I think our timelines are clearly off here.
If you were an alien species that wanted to make a statement of pertinence, what better way than to construct a megolith.

The pyramids were built using the ark of the covenant, and also built to use/focus the power of the ark. Without it, they are just empty shells.

The egyptians that covered the insides of the pyramids with hyroglyphs most likely did it long after they were built, and had little to no knowledge of how they were built. The evidence of this is in the fact that they documented every aspect of their lives, including hygiene practices, but left no record of how the pyramids were built.

The "giants that walked the Earth" most likely refers to the very tall men with giant skulls that coexisted with virtually all civilizations that had pyramids across the world. I don't think they mean giants that were on a scale that could produce pyramids like children play with blocks, and then there is the fact that the structures are so geometrically accurate.

I have been to Egypt ... twice and I have seen the pyramids and the Valley of Kings with my own eyes. I can tell you this someone other than the ancient Egyptians built them. You really have to see it to believe it !!!

I truly believe you hal. The monoliths of egyptians standing with 'ray guns' hooked up to coils pretty much says it all to me. The ancients. So much we don't know.

you probably know this already but the pyramids are 8 sided and it can only be seen from above when the sun is in the right position

I agree....

I think there are chambers not yet found that holds more answers as well as more questions I am sure. Maybe they have been found already but they are keeping it on the down low

I am jealous, BUT my next vacation will be to the pyramids for sure, I`ve wanted to go there for many years just to get a sense of the place and witness the magnitude of these buildings with my own eyes.

granted, kings and dictators have always built fancy tombs for themselves. something that i have always thought rather odd and wasteful. the whole, "you can't take it with you" thing.

the pyramids are something else entirely. 3000 years ago. the king gets a bug in him and calls for his royal architect and engineer. hey, guys. i, your king, want you to build me this gigantic tomb out of enormous carved blocks of stone. what? all we have are small bricks and stone and mud? no matter, i order to make it so. i want it so big that it will still dwarf other buildings for thousands of years. no, a tomb, not a palace. even though i could actually live in that and enjoy it, but i want a tomb. what's that you say? it will take so long that i will be dead before it is even halfway done? no matter, keep the people working on it even if i have been dead for decades. i trust that the next king will finish it for me.

would this make sense to any one, even back then?

Dude, definately check out a book called the "Giza Power Plant", by a guy named Christopher Dunn. It blew my mind, and the information included stands on it's own.

This in addition to my earlier post on this thread. I am still searching for the info they showed on the discovery channel, but the link here also explains the using of cranes to build the pyramids.

Okay people lets try an experiment. Lets call together a whole group of peole including the scientsist, geologist, architechs, and historians and get them to build us a pyramid using the tools which they postulated that the ancient egyptians had.

Let us see if they can. I don't think anyone has done this have they? I think it would be a very good exercise to do. It would definitely prove or disprove certain theories. Also we need to make sure that it lasts for the next 5000 years...

Also what does everyone think about the hieroglyphics that look similar to an alien gray.

The "alien" of the wall in the tomb of Ptahhotep in Mastabas, North Saqqara, is actually an lotus vase with 2 lotus inside: in this case it was being used during food offerings:
this image, uncropped, should help.

I think this is what they call the "big picture".

The old cropping trick. I know it well.

The Sphinx is the greater mystery.
It is 4,000 years older than the pyramids.
The Atlantians built it.
9,000 years ago it was huge lion in the desert.
A pharoah came along and said put my head on that lion.

This should give you a good idea of what the pyramids were used for and how they were built. Of course it doesn't answer everything but it's damn clever.

I believe you are referring to coral castle in Florida? Amazing story. The man you metioned, Ed Leedskalnin, claimed he solved the secret method of building the pyramids. Very intriguing story for those of you who care to peruse the coral cstel web site. I am a first time poster, I sincerly hope this is not entirely off topic. I'd post the web page but am uncertain if that is allowed. I have been reading this website for a few months now and and to be honest, I have been somewhat intimidated to post, so many of you are so knowledgeable and articulate . There's so much more I could add regarding coral castle however I do not want to take away from the post nor overstep the boundaries. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

I tend to go along with the Pyramids were a power source for early evolved beings who came to earth.

I do not believe Egyptians built them - - - I believe they found them in disrepair - - - attributed them to gods - - - and began a large repair effort.

And of course since they were originally built by gods - - the rulers of that time claimed them.

Not sure if this has been posted here yet, or not, but I thought this was a pretty cool little clip...

Perhaps it could shed some light on the subject about how ancient peoples may have moved such large slabs of stone.

I realise that this clip he's talking about recreating Stonehenge, but you can easily use the same principles...

Food for thought

sorry, I forgot the link in that post...
