Well I was stumbling just now and I came across a very interesting website that gave me even more questions than I previously had about the pyramids, so I thought I'd post it here on ATS and see what you guys had to say about it. Of course this topic has been brought up time and time again on this website but its a good topic so its worth being talked about a multitude of times.

First read this.

Now lets discuss, did the webpage give you more questions? Such as what was the fungi in King Tutu's tomb? Does anyone have any more information on that? Also what does everyone think about the hieroglyphics that look similar to an alien gray. Also the webpage suggests that the common theory behind using ramps to build the pyramids is wrong because it would've taken more stones to build the ramps than it would've taken to build the pyramids, and if they did build those ramps, where are the stones that built them after the pyramid was completed?

So what do you all think on this subject?

I have always found the Pyramids to be an interesting subject. I just really cant believe that the rulers of that time made all of those people work that hard to make tombs that size. Plus I heard about how the pyramids could be a battery source for ufos. I am intrigued

Also the website said that there wasn't even enough people within 500 square miles necessary to build the pyramids

there was talk of a race of giants that used to inhabit the earth. I can't say as I believe it, but who is to say that some giant kid wasnt' playing in the sandbox and building a rock castle. Probably not but who knows.

I've heard of that, but I strongly disbelieve it seeing as how we have no giant skeletons laying around, at least none I've heard about. Those would have to be pretty big giants to to lift 1+ ton rocks and place them in heights of up to 450 feet.

Imagine the size of their droppings!

(there are no historical giants, only dinosaurs. fossils people, fossils.)

This is somewhat related...

So I was watching a show on Egypt, not sure if it was National Geographic or Discovery, but it seemed so weird that after all the research was conducted, the only discovery they came about was that the Egyptians were drunks and were promiscuous. I expected something else...

Anywho, one of the people said that underneath the current cities, lie more temples of the Egyptians. That I found very interesting. The scale, if correct would be enormous.

The subject of the pyramids racks my brain more then the thought of UFOs.

I'll look into it more when I have time, maybe later tonight.

I remember reading somewhere a couple years ago a group had wanted to regild the tops of the pyramids but the Egyptian government would not allow it. I have long believed they were some type of power source.

The website states that the three points of the pyramids each point to a piece of the Orion's Belt Constellation, or at least around 3,000 BC it did.

They didn't make them build them, it was a voluntarily process. Long ago they thought it was slave labor that built them, but then it was realized it was more of a national project, and an honor to be chosen to go and participate. I believe it took around 20 years to build them, and I am not terribly surprised, as other cultures have undertaken similar tasks in their histories. The Great Wall also took 20 years, and a lot more lives, too (2 to 3 million if I remember rightly).

I do think they are fully man-made though. The coolest thing about them is how they mirrored celestial bodies with the pyramids, the river Nile, and a temple over a thousand miles away. Quite amazing. But at that point, death and the heavens were more important than life on earth, so it's not surprising they went to such efforts.

The "alien" of the wall in the tomb of Ptahhotep in Mastabas, North Saqqara, is actually a vase with 2 lotus flowers inside: in this case it was being used during food offerings:
this image, uncropped, should help.

How did they transport the stones to build the pyramids then...even if it took twenty years I don't see how they would have gotten these stones to the site and then up to the locations that they needed to be at.

Thanks, I guess this website was kind of misleading about that picture whether it is intentional or in ignorance I don't know though.

I don't know how many of you have heard or read this, but they did have machines in anceint times, not unlike the cranes of modern day, well without the motors and electronics. The discovery channel did a segment on this a while back I think it was part of the "Ancient Discoveries" series. These cranes were strong enough to move the blocks and reach high enough as well.

Here is a little info on what your talking about I think. I'd like some links on information that the Egyptians had this technology though, that would pretty much blow the Aliens did it theory out of the water.

Nice one internos, just wanted to post that one myself.

But there are still lots of mysteries regarding the pyramids, and somehow I find it hard to believe the official story...

Maybe you will find the following link interesting Mcloud313. It's about ancient megaliths around the world. The pyramids are also mentioned alot. Just click on the megalith section on the left.

Ancient Megaliths

After moving the stones, how did they fit them with such precision? Very weird if you ask me. And the sheer size of some of these blocks is astounding.

I wish i had the knowledge to add some valuable contribute to this thread, especially because i find this specific subject very intriguing, and because the pyramids by themselves are something of still extremely mysterious and fascinating. But all i can do is to enjoy it: we have many contributors with a good knowledge on this stuff: im convinced that this will be a very interesting discussion.
Thank for starting this thread, have a star and a flag from me

"That means that 24-hours-a-day, every day for 100 years, a stone averaging 3.5 tons needs to be set in place every 8.5 minutes!"

Wow that quote was from the link you just posted, it blew my mind even more haha.

and thats just in 100 years, as the previous poster said they were done in 20 years how many minutes would that be!? amazing!

The movie 10,000 bc showed mastodons pulling the blocks up to there positions with little men scampering about as the rock was placed.

I think it to be an exercise of technology cutting, moving, and placing the rock. People power no, instrumentality yes.

Unless the little people had eye protection when cutting, shaping and writing, there must have been a lot of eye accidents. Not to mention backs, arms, legs and heads smashed moving rocks.

No, some borrowed and reclaimed technology had to of been used to build all the verticle rock monuments construction of the ancient world.
