i don't get y ppl in general don't think that, what we call, aliens, exists. the whole universe to ourselves...ya right. earth is only 6 billion years old, compared to a whole bunch other planets, solar system, or whatver out there. myself, i am sure they mean no harm, otherwise they woulda done somethin to us already. they just watchin us basically, if ya ask me. we just can't put a concept of their technology and what not about em. something's gonna happen soon tho, everyone knows it, everyone's talkin about it. after this big ol mess that's bout to happen, the remaining ppl will know.

'Bob on the river' wished to remain anonimous, he told the reporter:

But over on the Colorado River, R. B. was only about 400 yards from where the fiery turquoise-blue object hit the ground on the west side of the river. R. B. has requested anonymity because he’s afraid the U. S. government hurts people who report UFOs. He did not even want his voice recorded. R. B. has lived in a houseboat on the Colorado River for thirty some years. He was outside at 3 AM fishing when he saw the brilliant, turquoise-blue flaming object. When it hit the ground about 100 yards west of the river, he saw the whole thing bounce back up in the air with even more glowing red-yellow pieces around the big center object. And yet, he did not hear the crash sound he expected. “There was only a thump sound,” he told me.

I think Bob has upped anchor and gone downstream! (I don't blame him!)

To answer your opening question, nearby radar stations civilian in particular, would have tracked it. It's the only way I can think of that would allow them to respond so quickly. Unless there's a base we really don't know about.

Victory not Vegeance my friend.

I have found 3 possible places (airports) in the vicinity of Needles, including what looks like a dissused runway south west of Needles on the Indian reservation road. Not sure how up-to-date the google images are tho'.

Keeping on seeking!

Wow thanks for the contribution. Now to make phone calls.
I will be getting back to this thread as soon as I get a few more answers.

Any Google maps on the River Bob's river.

I just jumped to the tail of this thread.

Bob is in for some cruise money if he survived... the only
thing holding him back is the complete cleanup of the area
so no parts are found.
And no one comes a looking.

This is why I think Bob's mind will be cleaned first.

A trip to Canada and the Mark Ultra castle is the next stop for
river bob.

When people see vegetable Bob no one will bother looking for evidence
of UFO or comets.
I say stay back from the place.

Apparently no one is talking. The phone was never answered or calls not returned. Hell at least Nellis responded...Granted I have a friend there.

Hey everyone thought you might want to see this update.

www.lasvegasnow.com...

It's a scary tale worthy of Halloween, only it looks like the spooks in this story might work for the government. The I-Team has been telling you about the strange object that crashed near the Colorado River back in May and was quickly scooped up by helicopters.

One the night before a network TV crew was to arrive, a large wildfire erupted and forced the evacuation of the marina. Bob wondered if someone was trying to wipe out clues at the presumed crash site, but this isn't where the UFO hit the ground.

They found Bob the boat man. There's more to come in a couple of weeks. My investigation has netted pretty much nothing. I got silence and misdirection at every turn. But I don't have the same resources as George Knapp...

I drove past this crapville aka needles twice after stated incident and can report that I saw nothing, this isn't the next roswell, whatever it was it was probably just a burning usaf vehicle of somekind and the dude that went missing, did anyone see if he was there today? maybe he was just using the lake as his personal toilet, maybe he's back, these things always seem to be covered by linda howe, people think she's great, well the facts are she believed the caret drone HOAX, she might as well be a tabloid journalist or one of THEM because she acts like it, george knapp is cool though

Driving by does not an investigation make. Try actually going to the alleged crash site. Try asking people questions. Just because you didn't see anything on a drive by through "crapville" doesn't mean nothing happened.

Nice try though.

Needles is not that far away as the crow flies from Edwards AFB and Dryden Research Center in Palmdale. Vegas is surrounded by military bases... Falon Navy Top Gun, Hawthorne, Tonopah, Nevada Test Site, Area 51, Nellis AFB, Nellis Bombing Range, Edwards AFB, Vandenberg, Nine Palms, China Lake, Dryden... did I miss a dozen?

Turqouise- blue/green flames. Many Russian rocket launches use a fuel that burns blue (Hydrazine?) look at the Norway spiral and several other rocket launches on you tube that have been called UFO's. Spectacular images...

Seems there is an update... seems they thing it might have been a test version of the X-37 space plane

I-Team: Was the Needles UFO a Secret Military Craft

"It's also the possibility it lost control and flew off the range. It's not that far from Edwards or the test ranges," he said. Last month, a classified object was launched into space by the Air Force. The Pentagon has confirmed it's the X-37B space plane, an unmanned spy plane, sort of the military's version of the space shuttle. A few images of the X-37 have been made public, along with video of a sister vehicle the X-40.

The military acknowledges these crafts have been test flown at Edwards and Vandenberg, not too far from Needles. The shape and the size are a near perfect match for what the witnesses saw. Bob confirms it looks like the object he saw. "Without the horizontal surfaces, yes. Without the wings," he said.

Houseboat Bob said even though the glow from the object was blue green, the object appeared to be black and shiny as it was being airlifted away. Photos of the X-37 show black, shiny tiles on the exterior. The I-Team sent records requests to numerous agencies and none were able to shed light on what the Needles object might have been. The Air Force won't say much about the mission of the X-37, but military analysts have some guesses.

"What they say they will use it for testing space technologies, and certainly having a re-usable vehicle would be a way of sending up prototypes, batteries, cooling systems, electronics, testing them then bringing them back down so you can modify them. Possibly, it's a space maneuver vehicle so it can duck back in the atmosphere and change its orbit so next time it flew over China, the Chinese wouldn't expect it coming," said military watchdog John Pike.

Another military analyst who spoke on the condition of anonymity says he thinks it could be part of a weapons program known as the Rods from the Gods, which we know has been tested out at Area 51. These are spaced-based kinetic weapons that literally fall out of the sky and cause problems for the bad guys.

But for now, the best guess of the witnesses is the X-37.

Probably some secret government project or maybe a UFO I'm thinking UFO since there was no noise when it crashed and they were right there to come get it before the public got hold of it ..I will be watching this thread closely this is exciting! thanks for posting!
