Not sure he's really so popular but he is clearly "Designed" to be the minorities / other guys candidate not mainstream WASP. My guess is that he's a set up and will probably win the election but never make it to office or for very long. That will result in a fake "Social Revolution" rioting which will then justify the concentration camps, mass roundups and martial law. Buy in is everything to the illuminati, their control is based on people thinking what every happens is for the best.

I know Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is a Friend of mine.

And you are most definitely NOT Jesus Christ.

Stop using my Lord's Name in vain.

I can't believe how naive this kind of response is. most of you are people who beleive in the NWO and illuminati and all that silliness.

you have to play ball in some respects, or the monied interests will CRUSH YOU.

there is no King Arthur appraoch to this government, and if there is one, Obama is as close as you get.

He's doing the best he can under extraordinary circumstances.

you can't change the system without getting into the system, he's playing the politician so as to get elected. and he'll work within perameters so as not to get impeached or shot or something.

If you go about it the 1960s way or the Ron Paul way, it looks to normal people like 'Old Man Yells At Cloud'. they'll just call you a criminal and get you arrested or they will not vote for you (Ron Paul).

an explanatory example:

if there is a fire in your kitchen, and the dorr is closed, you have to open it before you throw the water.
throwing water at a closed door is only going to get your socks wet.

I would not call myself naive. I have done my research on candidates. A lot of it. There were a few things I liked about Obama , " At first". I liked the fact that he would not let people loose their home for medical bills. As you said, this applied to me, and was something " I " liked.

As time went on, I saw him changing positions on things he said in the past.
On top of that , and I know this may sound " naive " to you, when I look at him I do not trust him. All my life , I have always been able to tell when there is just something not right about someone. This is my sixth sense. It has NEVER proven me wrong, and got me out of what could have turned out to be a deadly situation. All those bells are going of in my head.

Mcain never had a lot to say in my opinion, in the first place.
I am in Arizona, where he is the senator. I do not like how he claims that he claims knowing how to deal with illegals because he is in a border state. Pooey, he has done NOTHING here for it.

Where is the talk and plan about getting us out od debt? I have not seen one solution. I have not even seen it mentioned. The things that get mentioned
are things that big business wants you to think are the main issues. Make you think they are your issues. Yeah, we really need to worry about our carbon,
when the economy is going to hell, and some are fighting to keep food on the table.

I want to see someone who really wants to address the problems. I know it won't be pretty, but not pretty does not get you elected.

A agree you can not come in and just change the system, but if we can get in viable candidates from the get go, one step at a time we could. Too manly people sleep and only vote who the litttle box in the living room tells them to vote for.

You do not have to like Ron Paul. I don't care what party they are, as long as they have our best interest as a nation at heart.

Why is Obama so popular ? The media told you he was.

First of all, he's popular because he's a presidential candidate after the reign of supreme premier Bush.

He got this far mainly because he's a black aristocrat and a smooth and formal talker.

It isn't the fact that he is popular, McCain and Obama are in a dead heat even though Obama has put out twice as much in campaign funds than McCain has, in fact McCain was broke at one point and still was elected as the republican nominee. The fact that Obama seems to be popular is the fact that all the prime time news and media outlets are in the tank for him. Its a perception the news media is trying to pawn on you by making you think he is popular by covering him going to the bathroom. Its embarrassing to see so many news outlets salivating at his every word. There was a time when you could get your new unbiased but those times are in the past.

You know Amatrine you can go online and see Obamas voting record and McCains voting record. The first thing that will jump out at you is that Obama has only showed up to vote 40 percent of the time and that he is considered the MOST liberal senator we have. Wow the most liberal in fact he is right in line with socialist's with the way he votes. McCain on the other hand has showed up to vote over 89 percent of the time and has continually voted exactly what he says, he has not flipped flopped on any bills. As we know Obama has flipped on a couple now in the few that he even makes it to congress to vote. Please ppl go to the congressional website and really take a look at what ppl are doing in congress, it is quite educational and also gives you facts to debate with others about the candidate you like.

I agree Obama is socialist in what he stands for. I was not defending him, in fact I am not defending either of them.

A vote for Obama imo is a vote to move near socialism. A vote for Mcain, is a vote to keep things they way they are.

Thats my opinion. I want to vote for someone who will bring the change we really need, even if that means a little pain.

AlienJ! How dare you question people and ask them to educate themselves and make informed opinions instead of the hubris of emotional wailing and tooth gnashing that goes on out there...

Politics is a lot more interesting if you take the emotion out of it, and come up with intelligent, thoughtful responses... But sometimes you can't fix stupid.

And he is a socialist with bad, damaging ideas.

Alright WHATTHEORY---
What do you figure are the bad damaging ideas,, better yet what is the outcome of these ideas in your opinion?

I would like to know? Not in some angry partisaned fashion- rather calm...

I am interested in this strong dislike for OBAMA and his ---------????

What are some of Obama's damaging ideas, you ask? Have you listened to him lately?

Let's see...Blame America first, try to appease people who are your avowed enemies, (just like Jimmy "I-never-met-a-dictator-I-didn't-love" Carter) raise taxes, drastically cut defense spending to fund social programs which make people even more dependent on the government, and blame all the world's
problems on big corporations (even though he and his wife play ball with big corporations on a daily basis)...how's that for starters?

It's funny you should mention this and laugh because that is exactly what happened in Germany. Before Obama was to speak they had a free concert by a couple of popular bands over there plus they gave away free beer and brats.

Well, the outcome will be a socialist EU type of nation.

His damaging socialist ideas and views:
A) Universal Healthcare
B) Income redistribution
C) More government regulation
D) Higher Taxes
E) Larger more intrusive government

That was a few off the top of my head. I'm sure if I really think about it, I could remember much more.

I think the OP has some racial issues he / she needs to work out before carrying on with this thread. Where does the African American thing come into play, do you not want a "non-white" guy running yor country? I think Barack seems like a decent HUMAN being, he can't be any worse than Adolf H......sorry.....Geroge Bush, Mr Bush is a war mongerer, he has pretty much said so himself, maybe not in those words, but the idea is there. I say give Barack a chance, I know I dont live in the US, but hey I think my opinion should count, and if i did live in the US I honestly believe I would give him my vote. I'm truly am sorry if my opinion has offended anybody.

Really? lol I put that as a joke, because that's what the Nazi's did to get people to come out to hear Hiltler speak and people are making Obama out to be some bad guy. That's funny.

BTW- do you support McCain?

He was not my first choice, so I have no choice but to support McCain. I agree and disagree with him on several different major issues. However, there is no way in hell I will vote for Obama because of his past and his politics. I don't want to live in a copy of a EU nation.

[edit on 26-7-2008 by WhatTheory]

I'm sorry but this logic baffles me. McCain and Obama are no better than the other, voting for one over the other is a selection of voting for a lesser evil. Why the hell vote for an evil at all?

In three words: He sucks less!

There you have it, it is not a difficult concept. There is even a slight promise of a return to a new age of "American" ideals and the emancipation of the people from impending tyrany. I personally have my doubts, and believe that he probably part of the game, and not a solution to it. But call me silly I cannot help but hope for deliverance from the evil which has befallen the land of the brave and the home of the free.

B. Hussein Obama has nothing but script writers working for him. He can't even form a logical answer without a teleprompter.

He's about Change alright, Change America to a 3rd World Country and bring about Socialism/Communism to America.

Then we will truely have the Have and Have Nots! The super rich and the dirt poor.

Socialst Countries take note.... Britain, Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, etc.

In America we have a Consitution that allows personal citizens to Bare and keeps arms, that do not cost an arm and a leg to own, register and keep in our homes.

To qoute a Great American Patriot "From my cold dead hands" Charlton Heston

"God created Man, Sam Colt made us equal"
