Pick one.

I'll ask you again, you called Obama a liberal. He is a Democrat. His voting record is over 70% related to his party. What Liberal Party member has a record that strongly matches his? I have yet to find one. There is a difference between Democrats and Liberals and the way they vote and make decisions. If you can not show Obama to be a Liberal with anything tangible why call him one?

Oh good grief! Pick any of his views for goodness sakes.
All liberals are democrats but not all democrats are liberals. Unfortunately, a large number of democrats are liberal.
Since you seem to be in denial, I will list a few:

A) Universal Healthcare
B) Wealth Distribution
C) Higher taxes
D) More government regulation
E) Increase in social programs
F) More government intervention

You stated Obama has conservative views.

List some of his conservative views.

Subject: A testimony of warning-From the NY post

Letter to The Editor, Each year I get to celebrate Independence Day twice. On June 30 I Celebrate my independence day-- and on July 4 I celebrate America's. This year is Special, because it marks the 40th anniversary of my independence. On June 30, 1968, I escaped communist Cuba and a few months later I was In The United States to stay. That I happened to arrive in Richmond on Thanksgiving Day is just part of the story, but I digress. I've thought a lot about the anniversary this year because the election-year Rhetoric has made me think a lot about Cuba and what transpired there. In the late 1950s, most Cubans thought Cuba needed a change, and they were right. When a young leader came along, every Cuban was at least Receptive and when the young leader spoke eloquently and passionately and denounced the old system, the press fell in love with him. They did not question who his Friends were or what he believed in because when he said he would help the farmers and the poor and bring free medical care and education to all, everyone agreed. When he said he would bring justice and equality to all, everyone said 'Praise the Lord.' And when the young leader said, 'I will bring you change,' everyone yelled, 'Viva Fidel!' Unfortunately nobody asked about the change, so by the time the executioner's guns went silent the people's guns had been taken away. By the time everyone was equal, they were equally poor, hungry, and oppressed. By the time everyone received their free education it was worth nothing. By the time the press noticed, it was too late, because they were now working for him. By the time the change was fully implemented Cuba had been knocked down a couple of notches to Third-World status. By the time the change was over -- more than a million people had taken to boats, rafts, and inner tubes. You can call those who made it ashore anywhere else in the world the most fortunate Cubans. And now I'm back to the beginning of my story. This is an election year and I wonder .. Can Americans fall for a young charismatic leader who promises change without demanding full disclosure of what changes he will make .. How they will be carried out and what it will cost America? Can THAT happen in America? Will it?

Does the above sound familiar? Makes you think or at least should.

Your post fails to name one liberal who votes the majority of the time like Obama. Obama doesn't vote "liberal" or like someone from the "far left". He overwhelmingly votes like any Democrat. As for your "All liberals are democrats" statement it isn't true. There is a seperate party for liberals, Democrats are more liberal than Republicans, this does not make them liberals.

Well, come on now. He is the first black American to be running for President, with a high possibility to get the position.

Oprah has helped boost people's knowledge that he is in the running.

Look, first you asked to list some of Obama's liberal views and I just did. Now you want other liberals who have the same views as Obama. Why? What does that have to do with Obama's views? But, if you want one then Hillary comes to mind. The same list applies to her, Reid and Pellosi. Is that enough for you.

So back up your statement when you said that Obama has conservative views. Please list some of his conservative views.

I have answered all your questions yet you have refused to answer my one simple question which you brought up to begin with. So please list some of Obama's conservative views. Waiting......

No doubt about it! Obama will be killed whether it's before or after he gets elected. There are way way way too many hateful people out there that are not going to stand for a black man that looks like the enemy to run our country. That's that! There's no denying it!! THIS COUNTRY IS FULL OF DUMB PEOPLE! We elect lunatics every day! Personally, I think there is something evil and sinister about Obama and he may even be the antichrist! I am a democrat. I will not vote for McCain because I have had enough of Bush, but I certainly can't vote for somebody that looks like the enemy and has crap for experience. Therefore, I am not going to vote at all for the first time in my life. How could I live with myself if I helped to elect the antichrist? I think Obama is a con artist, and has a secret evil agenda, and America loves black people lately, so he should have no problem gaining the popular vote. It's cool to be black, act black, sing black, dress black. Heck, we even suit our cars up with stupid sounding exhausts because it was in a popular movie. Can we think for ourselves, or do we just continue to follow suit and do what is popular? This country, and the world for that matter are doomed! We can't advance much more than we already have, and inflation is killing us! It's all about the big money and nobody cares about the regular people. Natural disasters are on the rise big time! Move to higher ground now before you die! This country wants us to die! They use ignorance as a form of population control. There will be no warning! They want us dead! They will never give out the cure for cancer and aids since it helps reduce the population, and it produces a lot of money for the rich. Can you imagine if the American Cancer Society was no longer needed how many jobs would be lost, and how many donations would be lost? We can build indestructable cars that would run on anything, but the big money oil companies buy all the patents and stops all that. There are far more big money conspiracies out there than anybody realizes... Those conspiracies along with terrible natural disasters are going to kill us all within four years. A few humans might survive, but their resources will fade away and we might even become extinct. You may be skeptical about the Mayan Calendar, but the fact is that their calendar is only 33 seconds off today, and all their predictions about the cosmos have been right. Their tales of natural disasters becoming worse starting in 2008 are correct. Think about it! Look at China! Flooding, hurricanes, tornado's. It's not a typical storm season! Make your peace with God or whatever you worship and get your life in order. Time is running out! Ok, now you all can go nuts on me and tell me I am crazy, but you'll see....

first you asked to list some of Obama's liberal views

Where did I ask that? I wanted you to tell me one liberal who has a record identical, or nearly that to Obama's (someone in the liberal party). You failed to do so. Why should I be the only one backing up statements in this discussion? You are avoiding the fact that you keep putting your foot in your mouth by equating more liberal stances as liberal stances and democratic positions with liberal positions.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to follow the campaign as keenly as I would have liked to and feel that I'm not in a position to comment on his policies. As a result, and being an outsider looking in, I can offer two possible reasons why he appears to be so popular:

1. People are scared to criticise him for fear of being branded racist. As result people support him in an effort to be politically correct.

2. He represents a belief that we are ready to put aside the prejudices of yesterday in an effort to address the significant issues which face us today.

Either way, I suspect that it is not due to the strength of his policies.

I'm trying to find the website with an article like this that goes over it more in detail. This article links to an essay on the matter. Care to give me any links to back up statements you've made in this thread?

Exactly.
Additionally people buy the "a fresh hope" after Bush bollox and consequently ignore the fact that it'll be just more "same old same old" and that nothing really changes and that our lives are increasingly being more and more controlled by those who have always really "governed" us.

People desperately need something to believe in; religion has failed them, science is failing them.
In Barack Obama they see something that represents "out with the old and in with the new".

They maybe right, I for one hope so.
Unfortunately, I very much doubt it!

Racism is definately an issue, I am not racist but a black man can get away with much more than a white man.

People are honestly afraid to confront them publicly for fear of being branded a racist. And in the age where a dad taking pictures of his children can be called a paedophile why shouldn't they?

O honestly believe if this man was white he would not be as popular, he may still be popular but not as popular.

Just my 1 pence. (Thats about the same as 2 cents isn't it?)

Race is definitely a factor in this race. Some will vote for him simply because he is black, and some will not vote for him simply because he is black. It works both ways, but the people who don't vote for him because of race will be the only ones getting criticized for it. The news stations have the balls to talk about who the whites, jews, and blacks are going to vote for all day (something if we did in public some would regard racist) but they just won't come out and say that this man will be voted for by black people simply because they think it is due time our history included a black president, with out knowing much (if anything) about his politics.

How in the world did you come to this conclusion? All the evidence points to the exact opposite. Obama seems highly dishonest and lost without his many script writers.

The way i see it (I know i'm a republican but here me out). The president is being seen more as a American Idol then a COMMANDER IN CHIEF. Therefore when you go to the poll in november ask yourself, if the country was bombed the day after he sat in office, what would he do. I want Mccain to be there personally, not much against obama but maybe in 12-16 years i might vote for obama, when he has enough experience added to his resume. We all want change, but whether we get it or not, you really don't want to go from hot to cold to fast or vice versa.

He's popular because he's black and he can speak clearly. It's cool to be anything black in America. Everybody wants to be a punk gangster! I'm not racist, but why else would he be where he is? He's not qualified enough, and he doesn't have the experience to lead the country, so it must be because he's black! He looks like the enemy!! All three of his names are a big red flag in my book! He just may be the antichrist! I'm not voting for the first time ever. I can't vote for another worthless republican, and I sure as heck won't vote for the man the Mayans have warned us about... www.december212012.com

Need I say more? Look at his name people!!! He is the enemy!!! He is where he is right now because he is a clear speaking black man. Oh wait!! He's not black, he's a freaking Muslim!!! He is just like the other towel heads! There's something sinister about this guy!!!!! I hate Republicans, and I hate Towel heads!! I'm not voting this time!!!
