I asked if the dogs behaviour changed when RW witnessed the sighting and he replied that the dogs were downstairs in the kitchen and he and friends were upstairs when they witnessed the ufo so he wasn't sure if the behaviour of his dogs had changed or not....
Hope this answers your question

Some people see UFo's and get all excited and pumped with adrenalin. I saw ufo's and hardly seemed surprised - it all seemed perfectly natural to me at the time rather than something weird. I was already familiar about the subject back then but not to the extent where I was reading everything I could get my hands on. I didn't get the internet til about 2002 either. I was quite laid back about it all to be honest. Most of what I have since learnt and read has been through books and the net and on TV. I don't feel the urge to go to a conference as such, I've heard all I need to hear to know it's real enough and can catch up with the latest headlines and stories online. Also, conferences don't seem to take place in Cardiff , they are always miles away from me. We don't even seem to have a ufo group in Cardiff. I really don't get your point because whether or not I've been to a conference myself says nothing much at all really !

Yes, people who attend conferences are normally like minded people. Would it not be worth casting the net out so to speak across another section of the public to encourage those not yet currently interested TO GET interested ? Sure the net will drag in alot of seaweed but also a few crabs who will crawl out and start moving ? Why passively wait for lights to tune themselves on when you can perhaps get up and switch them on ?

You put a televised ufo conference on the TV with no celebrity involvement and you'll mostly get viewers watching who are already into the subject . You put the same thing on the TV and get the celebrities involved and you'll attract a good % of the hard fans those people have and alot of people who are just curious as the event is so unique and has been getting lots of attention in the press in the lead up to it.

So although you'll get alot of people only watching coz their fave celeb is on, out of those bunch , by the law of averages alone if nothing else, you will get people blown away by what they have just been listening to. People who have never thought much about it before and want to know more.

I agree with this... I don't think, that something like this would really help... It is just one more big commercial event.. I don't think, that more UFOs will land because of this concert
nor it won't help to support the general understanding regarding the UFO Community...

ps) no-one has suggested it was some "answer" to everything, just that it would be an interesting, unusual and innovative way to draw more attention to the subject area.

Also, this is not a discussion about charity and the environment. Sure those are serious issues which merit action and attention , I was just pointing out that most people don't think about it all that much, we see the same old issues about on the tv and in the press day in day out, we are drenched in it so are desensitized somewhat. We've all watched band aid, live aid, feed the hungry aid and it's all seriously tragic stuff, yes. But who has ever seen a globally televised ufo event ? no-one. I was simply making the point that something like that would ignite the minds curiosity more simply because no-one will have seen the like of it ever before...

does anyone actually read through the thread b4 posting ?
the intention is that it would be a FREE event. It would need sponsorship. No-ones talking a commercial enterprise. Though there would likely be stalls selling books and related ufology information. And food.

Can I just say that this discussion is in full swing on a thread specifically started for this event idea. If you want to talk about it, it may be better to do so on the special thread i started for it called, "how celebrities can make a stand - one woman's mad (?) idea" on the aliens and ufo forum....

When I had a paranormal experience (not ufos),
I noticed it at first when my dog was very afraid
of what`s happened. He trembled strong and his
eyes were great big, and a few seconds later I
realized that something went wrong

This is why I asked the question originally to RW as animals do sense when something not the normal is occuring.... so a good indication as to what it is that you are witnessing I think if it were a UFO a dog,cat or whatever pet you own would deffinatly show some sort of reaction...this applies to any other strange sighting...ghost etc.....
But if the animal is not in the same room as you at the time it is hard to monitor their behaviour,so you can't win em all

However. I think experiences that seem "paranormal" to us,
belong to pets/animals lifes. They do see spirits, like my dog
does. But in this case it was something he hasn`t ever seen
before. I can`t say what it was, but I got frightened! I was in
touch with a medium, and she told me it was about an evil spirit.
It was horrible, but it also was the good thing for me.

Totally agree!

Since that happening my dog is, hmm,
that`s difficult to explain cause of my broken English,
more opened for these things...he is even more sensitized for them.

Interesting video

but I don`t think it was paranormal, cause if the blinds were lifted by a "ghost", then the dog wouldn`t stand so close to the door, I guess...
just my 2 cents...

i dunno if i would say i become *scared* it's more like *alert* and *aware* that something is different, has happened or about to happen
it's common knowledge that animals *senses* are so much greater than humans so when my pets react in a way that is a bit *unusual* i take it serious and deff do not ignore it

I am not sure about the ghost dog video....I feel that the dog would have been acting in a different way to this had it been a ghost..All experiances I have had regards animals and ghosts/spirits the dog has acted in a threatened way..Raised hackles, cowering, growling etc...etc...so unless this particular dog has made friends with this "ghost"

Concert tour inspired on UFO sightings?

The Close Encounters Tour is Robbie Williams' 2006 worldwide concert tour. It kicked off in Durban's ABSA Stadium on 10 April, and ended in Melbourne on 18 December. The tour was a great success financially, with every date selling out the morning the tickets went on sale. Robbie broke the World Record for selling 1.6 million tickets in a single day of going on sale in November 2005.

The name "Close Encounters" from movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind (Steven Spielberg) is the Fanfare Let there be light (Intro) including the famous five-note melody Wild Signals. 'This symbol shows, that "we are not alone"', Robbie said before the tour. The show is a little "Space-show".

source: en.wikipedia.org...

My question is if this concert tour was inspired on the UFO sightings Robbie Williams has had, or if the UFO sightings came after or during that tour.
