i was just discussing crop circles with some friends last night, and of course the discussion wandered to whether ufo's exist and if this planet has been visited etc... i'm new to ats, been reading threads on the subject, and it has really made me want to read and learn more.

i've always wondered about life "out there" . we can't be alone in this universe,it just doesn't seen logical,ya know?

there is just so much to think about and wonder.I remember seeing E.T. when i was six,and wishing they would come down to play with me lol.

thank you everyone for sparking my interest in ufos and aliens again.

You can say the sun is shining if you really want to
I can see the moon and it seems so clear
You can take the road that takes you
to the stars now
I can take a road that’ll see me through

Not in my gift to suggest what this is about but great lyrics all the same.

Nick Drake 1948-1974

hm, she had some training but only for a year or so and I dunno if it was classical. she has a great voice and it quite unpredictable. i remember when she was in this talkshow about aliens and she insulted a famous scientist for astrophysics when he said he doesn't believe in aliens. the poor guy left the show - and the mod told her she obviously is a bit looney.

Rob

What did you personally make of the recent Cardiff sighting where three police helicopter pilots allegedly chased a UFO across the Bristol Channel?

I spoke to Popey about this and he said that 24 hours later, the "official statement" from Police HQ said that it was "probably a strange plane and no chase took place"!

I sense another cover-up here! What do you think?

Thanks for the link, Chris

@Chris and guard ... the right word is "nom de plume" and not "non de plume" or "none de plume"
(it's a french expression)

About UFO's: 3 days ago I saw a brilliant program about UFO's on TV - they showed many cases of UFO's observations. Some were easily explainable - but for 30% (!!!) of these observations, there is no scientific or other explanation! People simply do not know what it was! It was a bit frightening and exciting. It would great to work on it and try to search reasonnable explanations (if they exist !?) .

Here is a bit more info about the Carpenter`s song and its origin and intent.
en.wikipedia.org...

(are external links ok?)

One of the composers (and it was someone from Klatuu) explains, where from he got the idea for the track.
