No, I actually believe the guy. My point is, why is it that so many who "come forward" always seem to have some other flaky stuff attached to them (like Greer's new age crap)?

Very simple reason..

Because the closed minded main stream thinkers would never talk about it... they would keep their mouth shut and honor their non-disclosure

Those that think outside the box and look into other subjects that YOU consider crap are the ones open enough to talk about it...

If your willing to believe the guy that aliens are real, dealing with our government and making regular visits... what makes the other stuff 'flaky'?

He's either convinced himself to believe what he believes, or he's telling the truth but unfortunately appears to have an interest in things that are considered "hokey" by most sober people.

Most 'sober people' as you put it consider UFO's and Aliens "hokey"

If you have ever watched a person die of bone cancer over 6 months and all the 'doctors' could do is give him more morphine to the point he could not recognize his family... seeking out a 'heeler' may not seem so 'flaky'

It is easy to make character judgments behind an anonymous computer csreen

Chosing his words carefully he is still under non-disclosure agreements but when was the last time YOU were interviewed? Were you calm and clear and din't have to think about what you say?

Even if he is a figure head so what ? George bush is a figure head.

Have you ever listened to Bush's speeches? But when he tells me UFO's are real I will listen to him too...

Here is the one problem I have. In the UK, there is a massive tabloid underworld that doesn't live so under the world. It has been understated for a long time now that in the UK tabloids rule, far greater than anything offered up even here in Los Angeles. Just happens that most of the people the world wants to see are the stars here in the states. For the most part...

So where does that leave me when it comes to all those crop circles that pop up all over the UK? B.S. Garbage. No proof and no nugget of truth.

The radio shows are FAR superior to anything we have in the US. It's all far understated just how good of entertainers those Brits are. And Irish and Scottish, etc. They are brilliant!

So when they make claims like "this will be all over the news tomorrow," and "this is a world exclusive!!" it is transparent. As the Cranberries sang "Zombie, zombie, zombie, zombie!!!" I sing this every time one of these stories comes through. It's NOT a 1st of anything at all.

Give me a break tabloid UK!

All that stated - I WANT to believe these UFOs discussed are no joke, and I do believe in Mitchell's reports having at least some merit.

Maybe the aliens / fellow beings helped the apollo mission. Maybe that is how they made it through the belt. Who knows.

Someone made another thread on this oops! It's nothing new, but it is new as in being in the public eye (i.e. on the news). I find it a bit strange that it's on Kerrang radio though, the phone call to NASA is quite funny as the guy doesn't know what to say. I'm certainly going to keep updated on the happenings.

That's the thing we all have said sometime on here tho, that in the public eye most people go along with what their government etc tells them, they don't want to be different or look to have different views in any part of their lives. UFO phenomena has really rocketed recently tho in the mainstream media, what with disclosures going on all around the world. Not new to most people who have been on / reading these forums for a long period.

Don't ya just love the British tabloids!

On the Mail they have a picture of Edgar, then below they have a picture of the 'autopsy'.
The Sun has a pic of Edgar, then below that they have a picture of CGI alien.
The Star doesn't even have a picture of Edgar, just good 'ole ET!
The Sky web page at least has a pic of Edgar but that is half way down the page, under the main pic of a costume headed alien.

www.dailymail.co.uk...

www.thesun.co.uk...

www.dailystar.co.uk...

The Sky Link is above me.

Are they taking it seriously.....I think not!
It might sell a few more editions, but I wonder if it all adds to the 'cookieness' of people wanting to know the real truth!

This news made the Drudge Report this morning! Drudge has a huge mainstream following. www.drudgereport.com...
The story is on the right side toward the top it reads:
Former NASA astronaut and moon-walker claims alien contact cover-up...

This is a big step in the right direction. Drudge is huge in the US.
I emailed them about this story the past two days, I can't believe they posted the story on the front page.

The sun & star are not even at tabloid status, they're red tops. They're like fiction more than half of the time.

Unless a broad-sheet covers it, I'm not buying that it's disclosure.

A quick Google of Edgar Mitchell shows us that he has been writing books since at least 1974. I see this as a definite conflict of interests. As much as I would like to take the man's word for it, it is in his interests that "aliens are real" for him to sell more of his books.
