You know, OP, I did exactly what you're doing here several years ago, standing under a bridge, screaming at the top of my lungs that I don't belong here, that I don't want to be here, that I never agreed to this...

Well that was years ago, and tings do change. I don't want to tell you what to do, or what not to do, and I won't pretend to know you.

I will however, quote you one of my favorite songs:

And after typing these almost 1000 characters, I just mean to tell you that you are not alone. You never will be. Everything is out there for those who have eyes to see. Reasons, causes, consequences, pasts and futures. Everything.

I'm sure as the days progress you'll find people claiming the same (wanting it all to stop). Give it time and people will want out. They will find themselves being more controlled, more oppressed, and either they will accept it or refuse it. It is all a matter of choice. Just don't sell out before you look around for better options.

A blind man can beat you in a seeing eye contest, and you say you are in a hateful world? I say you haven't suffered enough! Keep on going and you'll find that after all this truth in front of you...you'll find the answers.

I should probably do the same!

It's easy to get caught up on all the negative because it's everywhere around us. On the TV, Computer, In the Newspaper etc. etc.

Take a hike somewhere, go find a nice place where you feel close to nature. Sometimes finding a family in need and helping them out in someway can brighten your spirit and make your day.

Hang in there, stand strong and spread the positive.

Hey, I realize it was harsh but sometimes people need to be slapped with tough love.
Stop your whinning and to use the OP's analogy, if you don't like the line you are in then move to another line or find a way aroung the line.

OP if you will, allow me to say that what you're going through is normal, and it won't get any better.
If it helps, I'm pushing 50 and my mechanism for protecting my sanity is humor. I like to look at life through clear lenses, and I find alot of humor in what I see.
In a thread a few months back I stated that my employer likes me because I am unflappable. What I don't bother to explain to him is that I realized a long time ago is that I'm just a pixel of the the whole picture and the whole thing is laughable. Do your best for you and yours and the rest will fall into place.

I completely understand what you mean! When people start to ponder existence, history, their own situations, and genuinely begin to care about each other, they are immediately presented with that puzzle. What you do with it, is a determination of character. What route will you take?

-Will you blame the other people who are going threw the same thing you are?
-Will you automatically assume it's always that other guy's fault?
-Will you seek out people from all walks of life who share your common goal?
-Will you try to escape?
-Will you dedicate yourself to helping where you can?
-Will you dedicate yourself to being part of the problem?

What will you do?

You can always leave society and live far away, in a forest, in a mountain, in a tropical jungle. No more worries about legality, senseless killing, greed, crime, politics, money, and all the other things that bring down happiness.

All you would have to worry about is food and shelter. Try to get a girl to go with you and you'll be set for happiness for a lifetime.

Yes it is worse than a bad dream, we are terrible creatures in so many extreme ways, we seem to crave it as a species, but it is also equally true that we are capable of great love and great beauty and great art. We are the ultimate Yin/Yang, the light and the dark. The world is a tough place and life is impossible to win at, so the best advice I can give you is to sit back with a tall glass of something alcoholic, realize how absurd life really is, and then laugh your way all the way to hell. i agree with everything everyone else has been saying but i would like to add that it doesn't have to be hell. you can see the good in people. we're not all monsters. the people who are (and alas, i admit them to be a majority) seek to destroy those who seek something more meaningful than having power. what is that one thing that gives peace to all? Peace. Violence may beget more violence but peace also begets more peace. there is nothing wrong with what you're saying but wanting out will get you nowhere. Just deal with what you're given. survive. it will make you a better person.

Albeit a few gramatical errors, the sentiment here and way of describing the earth is very beautiful.

I would like to offer a possibility and a few beliefs.

In a later thread you mentioned you thought there would have been a conscious choice to come to this life, and now you have had a change of heart. That the situation here is not right for you and you would like to leave because of various readings, webs of deceipt, cruelty, suffering etc.

However, I think it is possible, that perhaps when you make the decision to go into the next life, that at that time, you can see the whole duration of it, and the entirety of what happens during it. However, to enter that life, you must forget all that you have seen, and know. Hence if you made a choice to enter, it would be based on the entire life, not what you have experienced until now.

I assume you are not particularly aged? Ofcourse good things can be just around the corner, and like another poster mentioned, things do change. I believe the bad must come with the good. Take chemical highs, afterwards there is a down no? The Tao, and the balance in the universe should be maintained, and also, your body mind and soul is a reflection or a micro universe in itself.

If you truly want to get off this ride, I am aware of only one avenue that you can take. That is the floatation tank, if you have enough money to buy one, then do. I suggest research the work of John Lily, and his counterparts. www.gatewaysbooksonline.com is a great place to start. It covers field of consciousness and metaphysics, spirtiual transformation.

I advise you this can be very heavy stuff. However, if you are so fortunate as to attain a tank, then after a period of time, dependant on you, it is possible, I understand, to access other worlds. I myself have not yet got a tank, due to finance, however, in the future, I hope to.

I must mention the fact that probably all of the mystics and writers used psychoactive compounds, many now illegal. John Lillly was using the float tank, in combination with Ketamine HCl and '___'-50, um, these are illegal for human consumption in most parts of the world. However, I would reccomend the former for faster dissociative affects and spirtitual revelations. Do check the legality, if ill, do so at your own risk. Ofcourse research the substance thouroughly first regardless, use www.erowid.org.

This an exit route, not the only one. But the only one I know off. I would also reccomend internal/energy cultivation, such as Qi Gong, meditation, or Yoga etc, if you are not already practicing one of the arts.
