To the OP:

Is it possible that you might be falling prey to the idea of vague generalities? Here let me explain.

Here's the kicker though, he didn't really tell their fortunes, didn't use any kind of cosmic psyche or anything, he simply wrote what seemed like detailed, but in fact were vague generalities, vague enough that they could fit to almost anyone!

That sounds a heck of a lot like Sylvia Brown.

That sounds like alot of people I know... but what happens when generalizations become really really accurate?

Perception only works to a certain level. Life should be more about what that person hasn't done yet, & who they can be in the future. Our looks give away our past, but the future is our own.

It's only natural to form an opinion on someone based on appearence, but I'd much rather get to know who they truely are. & yes, the eyes are the window into the soul.

When I see people I can get their personality and life story down in 3 mins by looking at their facial expressions, seeing how they stand, walk, move and fidget. I'm usually always right too. I some what like a Terminator with my ability, except cooler. Does anyone else have those special ability? Are you able to know a person by just lookin' at them? Do you dismiss people if you don't like how they look(I do)? Does this method work for you?

Good grief man!!!

Can you be a little more full of your self? Your ego must block out cell phone signals and numb the minds of people around you with the things you say!

This is not an ability, it's ridicules, utterly ridicules. I can't believe some of the posts on this site. It's tabloid garbage mixed with the fantastic imagination of people which turns out more often than not to be less than fantastic.

Terminator... pfft... come on man...

If you look at a person and judge them by their appearance, you're one horrible person. Sorry, unless you're mentally challenged and that's why you can't seem to take time to find out the persons real personality, I can't say anything good about you.

You can to some extent find out what SOCIAL layer a person is from by looking at them, the way they talk, their gestures, style of clothing and smell.

But there's ONE MAJOR flaw in your perception! Something we've all learned at the academy, university, business school... and that's CULTURAL DIFFERENCES!

Are you away that certain western gestures mean other things in other countries? So when they come here and do something cultural without noticing it, you'd get the wrong information, thinking that this person is a bad person or confused or sad etc.

So... what can I say... if you think you have X-Men like powers and live in a fantasy world... well then have fun... I'm sure you'll hurt a lot of people along the way and women probably won't really find your 'powers' very attractive.

So, how would you judge Stephen Hawking if you saw him and didn't know who he was?

I don't expect you to answer truthfully, but I was just curious.

I think the OP knows there are exceptions to reading people's faces, such as handicapped or the mentally retarded.

Although the OP seems to show a somewhat large ego in his opening post, I think his abilities are no where near paranormal and I believe him without almost any doubt (unless every sentence of his is a lie, which I doubt).

I am curious, why do you choose to defend the OP? Do you know him? Do you share his views? Do you feel sorry for him?

I'm baffled how people here run to stand next to OPs who aren't quite the people you'd like to associate your self with in real life.

The OP might be otherwise a great person in every other aspect, we don't know that, but his statement has dropped him considerably in value and credibility.

So, I'm just wondering, what makes you want to 'not necessarily side with him, but believe him. What in his statement makes it plausible for you to accept what he says at face value?

Again I'm really just curious, and wish to hear you deconstruct your decision process so I can better understand why some people here choose to side with OPs who has such a thin story and is borderline on the ridicules?

Knowing your age would be a good start.

Thanks and I mean no disrespect to you, I'm genuinely interested in your choice to believe him.

My age: 17 (I know, kinda young - right?) Gonna be a junior in high school.

I do not know him, feel sorry for him, but I do share some similar views.
Although I don't know the OP, he seems a bit brash (that the impression I got in his opening post). But his other posts made me think a little different of him, he seemed more sincere and he seemed less and less of a hoaxer as as read more of his posts since most of what he says I agree with.

Of course, no everyone will agree with you and you can't always understand someone over an online forum, only describe it to the best of your abilities.

I hope I answered your questions well enough.

Thank you very much for your honest answer, I really respect you for that.

It also made me understand your views better and why you express your thoughts on the OP the way you do.

Your reply was well written, honest and to the point, furthermore it made sense.

You're 17 years old, and you are right it's young, but young is great! And fortunately without having to give away some really good points here, I'd say you're mind seems to follow a normal and well mannered person. Keep this up and you'll be fine.

I will however tell you that the OPs post isn't as honest as you might think, but being that you're only 17 (which means you'll be learning many things still before you can draw your conclusion on certain matters) you still need to keep your filter of things you see, hear and learn intact. You must ALWAYS ask questions, no matter what it is. No matter if it is something in class you don't understand or disagree with, that's how we evolve, by asking questions and trying to understand a different viewpoint. The massive amount of viewpoints you'll encounter in your life will shape your thoughts and dreams, which will eventually shape your personality. So it's important that you keep your filter clean and in check.

I'm not saying you shouldn't believe in anything, but you should always ask questions. Ask as many as you need to feel comfortable and satisfied with the answers you're given. This in turn will take you far and will keep your mind shark and in balance.

So I am very happy that for ONCE someone could give me an honest and direct answer to something most adults have difficulties with.

I'm genuinely happy with the answer you gave me. Thank you.

You deserve a star for your honesty.

Thank you for thanking me on my post

I find being honest natural to me and lying only makes less progression and worsens almost anything (there are exceptions though, just like in anything else).

I also thank you for recognizing my truthfulness by giving me a star and complimenting me, makes me feel pretty good.
I also like that your not really making any permanent impressions about me, because anyone who thinks they know someone through a couple posts on any internet discussion board is truly ignorant.

Monster..out!

Just am wondering, why is the OP banned? I looked through his posts and couldn't see anything that would get him banned?

Awww. Bummer! I was really hoping someone would post an intro video for the self professed face/body reader gent/gal to read. That really would have been a treat.

Hmm. I can't figure it out either, don't see why he was banned. Didn't even get a warning, must of been something big I guess.

i can tell alot about you just from this thread you started.
lets see...
you are arrogant with elitist tendencies and were spoiled as a child (assuming you are no longer a child) and you probably don't date much. you probably spend alot of time in front of the mirror since you are so concerned with looks and you probably don't read much (unless pictures are involved) and you most likely watch alot of reality shows and music television.

That was beautiful! LOL!

I'd like to know this as well. I would say it's probably because of something big, but until admin input, I'll remain unbiased.

Yeah, I have been doing this for what seems like forever, I know whatever it is I was born with it. In fact I kinda freak people out sometimes, even knowing there favorite color and how many kids they have, and I will have never met them before. I won't say I am anymore psychic than anyone else, I just know things and I really don't know how, I just do it.

I will say to people... blah blah blah... and this and this and this...etc... and they look at me like they have been struck with a hammer. I think part of it is reading people, but the other part... well I have no idea. I can even tell you things about yourself that you think no one knows. My son, David, has this ability too but doesn't use it as much as I do.

To me photos are no different really that the people themselves, except you can get even more if it is someone in front of you. You hear voice tones... expressions... behaviors... stuff like that. But if you relax and tune into the photos you can get an awful lot. Allow yourself time to process and analize, it is really not as hard as you think.

So yeah... go with it and becareful cause the truth can be scary sometimes. Whats that they say... oh yeah... truth is stranger than fiction.

Oh, and I want to say, I don't judge people, I read people like a book. And what I read in the above mentioned quote is ... dang... serious attitude adjustment need... honestly... you are defending yourself and attacking people before they have even said anything about anything? Why is that? Really not a good way to start honest.

Either you are very defensive or a very poor sales person... can't tell which for sure.... but I think it is defensiveness.

Some of you really can't see why the person was banned? You don't even have to read past their first post to see why.

Even though I share the same thing (being able to read a person by just looking at them) I don't think of myself as better than others or let it get to my head like this person seemed to. If I get a bad vibe off the person I ignore it and try to get to know them anyway in case I'm wrong. Only been wrong two times though. Enough to know that my gut instinct may be wrong sometimes. Good enough that my older sister has me look or talk to any guy she's ever been interested in before she says anything to them
Always get a kick out of her doing that.

I wouldn't call myself psychic or anything. My sister calls me one, but I don't consider myself one. I don't even talk about it unless it's family or a close friend. That's only because a couple of people I've mentioned it to thought I was weird after talking about it. I don't see what's weird about it. A lot of people are good at reading people by just looking at them.

The OP of this thread though, took a normal thing and let it get to their head for some reason. Egomaniac who thinks they're better than others because they can do a normal thing.

I'm alright at reading people I've got like an 80% success rate when it comes to that, but then again I know some pretty out there people!!!!!

If you could point it out, because from the first post I can't see it. I think if it was the cause of his ban, the thread would have been trashed or a mod-note in the opening post.
