I would say that it is a mixture between both. Have you ever notice real bitter peoples faces looks distorted and rugged. While people who remain positive, faces look more smooth. It's all there.

I have noticed in this one absolutely beautiful girl I've known for a few years... and dated for a week but was too afraid to touch, so she broke up with me (she was super hot, though... but she was insane).

Anyway... she used to be so positive and bubbly and just fun to be around... and she had the smoothest youngest looking complexion of anyone I'd ever met... but ever since she started going out with this one guy who used to be my best friend before he started hating me because he threw himself out of our band(???), she's just began to look more and more like.... I dunno if ugly or plastic and bloated in the face is better to describe it... but I think that is partially true, if not mostly true.

EDIT: To add that this girl has gotten more and more negative over the past two years. Her myspace now reads "3lizabeth HATES YOU!!!!" at the top, and the last time I saw her, I could barely stand to look at her because her face just really disturbed me. It looked like she was dead and a mortician had made her face up... it was really creepy.

I've noticed with myself that when I'm in really positive moods, I'll look in the mirror and go "not too shabby", but on days where things are on a down turn, I literally get sick at how ugly I seem to look.

That hasn't been for a while, though.

See you got it now. That was a perfect example of the once beautiful chick, who now looks like a sea-monster.

I don't think that this is so far off base. Observation skills are God given. I can judge a book by it's cover as well. NOT that it's all about "good looking" or "ugly" but more about "interesting" or "boring".
It doesn't mean that someone is less worthy as a human being if I find them less interesting- it just means that they have less to offer ME. I'm sure that they are interesting people to someone else.

No, females are easy. They're emotional so you can see it all in their eyes. Some men have no conscience, so you can't see it at all.

What about the female that doesn't have emotions at all, and you are positive about the fact that she is devoid of them???

Is she really even a female? Is she human?

I may be able to learn a lot about a person within a very short amount of time, but I try not to judge anyone until they prove themselves to be exactly what they are.

In a way, I'm glad this thread is in the skunk works due to the idea of making judgements on people..

When judging, I wouldn't call it good-lookin' or ugly. I would go more along the lines of positive and negative. There are good-lookin' negative people and bad-lookin' positive people. You just have to know how to spot 'em. It's mainly in the eyes though, kind of in the nose too, believe it or not.

You're right. Judging is a crude word. I never judge people, because I wouldn't give a got-dam about a random person no-way. The word I should've use was analyze.

I always read the end of books first.For some this presents as some kind of psychological warfare that they just cant stand.
For me it just tells me if im going to waste my time or not.
Gee I guess I know what I want and like don't I.
Maybe ive just been here before, to many times.....

I know already what you can do Extralien, and I am amazed how close you are with so many explanations in relation with those so different avatars.
I try to give you there my view of your avatar, but obvious I am absolute not capable to do such things.

I'm much the same way, I used to think it was just perception but it goes much deeper then that. I started to try to figure out what to key on anytime I met someone new or saw practically any stranger for that matter. I keyed in on things like voice: how strong, sarcasm, confidence; stance: straight up, slouched, average; and just about everything else that would make up a general impression about someone. Then I realized I was looking at these attributes in a whole but in realitivity to their eyes and what I saw in them. So far through life I have never been wrong with my perception of someone, If I said persay that I didn't like somebody my girlfriend would ask why and I would simply say I just don't (we've found out with quite a few friends she had that they were backstabbers and only want favors). I can also tell if someone would be loyal, a liar, or someone who is blatently honest simply by looking at them. I have many witnesses to what I have stated if anyone has any questions especially the Thread Starter, so we can compare technics or so I can explain myself better I'd be happy too.

I've had quite a run in my short life with woman, I agree that men are easier to read but woman give off just as many signs whether they're trying to hide it or not. To put it bluntly I've womanized many a girl and I have never been turned down by a woman; another statement that I have proof of. So although women may be better with hiding their true feelings, I have gotten to the core and manipulated every one because of my advanced perception. I would also like to state in my defense that since then I've been with my girlfriend for 2 happy years now; I realized that being so cruel wasn't so cool.

I never try to judge anyone. I've been through so much myself, that I know no one could possibly understand me by knowing me for a few minutes, it's just not possible. Knowing that, I do not do the same to others, either. If someone has a hangup, or is nervous, or forward, or shy, there could be a myriad of reasons, and I try not to jump to conclusions.

ive meet people and them not say a word to me..i and knew i hated them.

ive saw people i knew id get along with by looking at them.

Ive noticed...certain personality's..carry a look all people have the look that have the certain personality or behavior.

say a sneaky person...has that look...you see one sneaky person you know the next one you see.

same with gossiper's...nose in everyone's business....all have the same look

even inter-racial people...that mix out side there color..all have the same look.
i am not racist lol

even the shy person...you know they are shy..the second you see them.

lazy people...you know em soon as you see them.

list goes on and on.



i think it's all genetics's..
The personality determines your look..face... stature ect..

thus after awhile you do know someone...by just looking at them

What you're describing is really not that rare. Many individuals possess these skills to one degree or another. Police, therapists, and street people to name just a few.

It's a combination of things they're looking at, rather than just appearances. It's how a particular person carries themself, the tone of their voice, the amount of eye contact they make with others, and their overall body language.

If you watch people, like I do, you do learn how to "read" them. I can just about look at someone and tell you whether they're worth a damn or not.

I generally do it by watching their movements and listening to not only what they say, but how they say it.
