i understand. i took my freind to see the objects on my balcony, he found it so interesting we went for a drive in the night and saw the 7 objects. the next night we went out again, -it really makes me feel a lot better to share it with him and to see his interest.

my girlfriend has seen them too, but then again she dont really want to drive around all night to see them, i guess thats a boy thing off course some girls are interested but it takes a good freind to make a good team.

the big question is why are these starlikeobjects flying around and why are there so many this summer

I dont know to tell the truth my life is so busy I wish I could study this full time.

For me the bigger question would be has this been going all the time just that a few people just happen to look up and the exact right time and catch a glimpse then start to look for patterns and see them other nights

For me I just dont have the time to star gaze every night Again I wish I did I do have a video cam now ready in my den so if and when I spot it I'll hopefully be ready this time.

to tell the truth the first two times I was not sure if what I had seen was real or my over active imagination but now I have a witness

I would love to know the answer to that too. It's my 1st summer seeing these things...I'm watching one right now...It looked like it was comminicating with me (or maybe my simple mind was thinking that) but I just got back from seeing Dark Knight and my friend drove me home...I showed him the directions where I last seen them. After he left i spotted one & i'm still watching it...It's fading away now but about 20 min ago i felt it was trying to communicate by glowing. I was watching it and it started to glow more (you can tell b/c all around it had a glow look) Then the glow dimmed to nothing and the sky went black again the then glowed and so on...Of course I don't have a flash light to try to do something back....So i grabbed my PSP and put the screen on and covered my hand off & on. Sounds foolish I know but it went on for 2 min...Like again it felt it was comminication or it cold of been something else....Anyone have that same experience?

Hello everyone first post here.Anyway this post caught my attention and i felt i had to post my unusual experience as well.
I was outside getting something from my car and it was around 2 am and i looked up to the clear sky like i always do to see anything and the re it was. This star like object was traveling in a strait line which really is not that unusual to see but what give me goose bumps was when a similar object was traveling the opposite direction heading strait for the first object. When they came close to each other they both blinked a light and then they just kept going.
I found this strange that they only blinked close to each other but not after they passed.

PERFECT
That's what I've been seeing it gets really bright then dims then gets bright again it travels in a straight line no blinking commercial aircraft lights it seems to travel very high in the sky, sometimes it's rate of speed is very high other times much slower then it slowly dimms as if leaving the atmosphere

Great vids CosmicTraveler. Keep em coming. I'm waiting with crossed fingers for the erratic movements...the maneuvers. Eventually you'll catch one in relation to a nearby star, or with the darkened trees in the foreground, that will prove it's not just camera movement.

Also, Skywatch....thanks for the "last 20 report" updates from Mufon. We're on to something. The similar sightings are no coincidence. I don't believe in coincidence.

last summer/fall I was looking at the skies, the big dipper was in sight..I was smoking sum holy herb.. As I stared at the big dipper, I noticed a star to the right of the "dipper" ( right next to Dubhe) .. Strange I thought, never seen that one.. It forms a new constellation looks more like a horse shoe than the dipper.. when i noticed the new constellation, It(the new star) started to move, in circles clockwise around Dubhe (wich is the name of the star it was next to.. I was amazed.. I checked around me, am I dreaming? Did I die? No I live.. Looked up again and it was still spinning.. After a few seconds of spinning, It flew right into Dubhe and the "new star" was gone.. It was white like the crystal-clear flying saucer I saw( and 3 more saw it at least) when I was 9-10 years old.. I was 21 when the star started to spin... Im hoping they will drop by sumday

If you watch closely on the first video you will see a passing star
the others are little blurry do to movement

The reason i'm posting right now is because i saw something tonite in the sky and this was the first forum ive found to discuss it on.
(Now if you look at aeroplane, you can tell its an aeroplane, if you see a helicopter, you can identify it as a helicopter. as well as considering sound)
What i saw wasnt apparent as an object but as a bright light. I was having a cigarette (with my brother) in my back garden in the south of england around 9.30pm. I could not identify this bright light, it didnt move as quick as an aeroplane and it seemed far too high for a helicopter. My first impressions of the light was a hot air balloon, but if it was, it would of been on bloody fire, bit who the hell would go flying a hot air balloon at night time.
But the strangest thing about it though, was its movements, it went quite slowly (from what my eyes could see, at the distance it was at, it was probably going a lot lot faster) to the left, it then changed direction and went forward from the direction i was looking at it. The light did start eventually fading into the distance until eventually it was gone.

My brother did manage to take a picture on it, it was on a decent camera phone but no where good enough to take a decent picture. So it isnt good enough proof or evidence at all.
But i know as well as my brother that we saw something different

What has giving me more reason to believe i saw a UFO was all the apparent UFO sightings we have had in the UK for the last month, particularly in wales.

It has really sparked my thoughts on the subject, and plus i found this forum which will gimme me some incites.

How strange....the past two nights I have been sky watching on my balcony and have seen these too. It looks EXACTLY like the same brightness of an average star but it moves across the sky and occasionally the light swells and dims out again. Right when i took the garbage out last night, I looked up and saw one swell right when i spotted it in the night sky as if it knew I was looking...but I highly doubt that's why it swelled.

I thought those were satellites, but I live near Chicago and have never known you could satellites here.

Very cool!! That takes time and effort, I know and I appreciate you taking that time and effort to shoot, upload, and post.

I think it was on this thread (close to the beginning) and if not, then another similar thread that I posted I had seen these as well. I either said one or maybe at that time I had already seen the second one.

Until the wee hours of this morning though, I hadn't seen anymore even though I am out there most nights. Around 4ish this morning, I was sitting looking skyward to the west when a pretty bright and big meteor came shooting across the sky seemingly RIGHT over my head
. Right after that I saw about 4 to 5 of these "moving stars."

The first one came from the west and followed eastward along the same path as the meteor. The second one came from the east, was headed west and passed by the first one. Then I saw several more over the next hour and a half heading in various directions.

Same things as ppl are describing on this thread. Star look alikes; maintained a steady pace across the sky; never phased out as satellites do; never any blinking lights, just the white steady light; and maintained a straight path from one side of the sky to the next.

It is really intriguing and although I am positive the AWESOME meteor
had little to do w/ these objects, I just wanted to throw it in bc I see them frequently, but this one really was worthy of its
factor lol.

Whats up everybody. I have been watching for these "moving stars" for a while now and i have also been reading this thread since it first appeared. The MS are harder to spot in my area due to light pollution. But we see them just about every night or every other night. Last night my father brought out his maglight. This thing is HUGE and produces beam of light that reaches the stars (so to speak.) We sat back in our lawn chairs and waited. after about an hour and a half i finally spot one....we shine the light near it and it freezes in place and starts glowing!!!!! My heart started beating sooooo fast. After we shut the light off it kept going in its original direction but everytime we turned the light back on it would stop and glow bright like a very bright star. it was the scariest/most exciting moment i have ever experienced!!!

yesterday night i was staying in the countryside. the sky was clear and the stars were bright.

as i stepped out the door i looked up and instantly saw the first object, the object was just traveling in a steady pace, not zigzagging this time, but then another object apeared, and this one must go in the "very special" category, even the "normally" observed star-like objects are special enough.

the object was as big and bright as the other but it continously turned of like it was rotating and the lightsource was only at one side, it flickered every half second (between half second to one second) in a new position. it changed directions rapidly to, -this between each flcker or the flicker came from different sides of a very large ship.

there was a lot of activity, shortly after a third "ship" came by.

then i went back in, i feel better doing this with my freind, there were just too much activity and a big shooting star, followed by something that felt like bat-sonars made me go inside, i just saw enough for that night.

I think saw my first one tonight, was about 11pm GMT I was outside having a smoke watching the stars then I looked towards my house and saw a really bright light in the sky. Now it could have been a plane, however it was just a bright light and I don't know of any planes surrounded in a bright light normally if it's the landing lights they look one direction, the way it is heading. However it was going away I was facing North and the object was travelling in a North westerly direction so I really doubt it was landing lights, anyway the other factor I don't think it was an aircraft was it's speed, now if it was appearing to be fast because of a low altitude then I would have been able to hear it's engines I mean I can usually hear the passenger jets that fly over when they're at 15,000+ feet so surely I should be able to hear it's engine but there was no sound at all it sort of just glided really fast through the air.

It was brighter to the naked eye right ? The speed seems right for what I saw but my sighting was much brighter

Also do you have to live close to any Airfields ? I live about 5 miles away from an RAF training base also home to a police chopper and 30 miles away from Warton where BAE do the testing & training for the Euro Fighters so it wouldn't suprise me if they're testing some new black ops aircraft which the light might indeed be. But the lack of engine noise makes me think otherwise, definately not a Typhoon though as those babies are loud as hell lol

My girlfriend finally saw these star-like objects tonight (we saw three), and she is CONVINCED that are high flying airplanes. I have seen these objects, but they never make any crazy maneuvers, they just fly in a straight line. Last night I saw one and it swelled up to about 10 times the brightness and dimmed out, that almost convinced me that what I was seeing was not an airplane, but it just continued to fly in a straight pattern.

If you are able to see a plane in the night sky, shouldn't you be able to see some sign of navigation lights? This thing had to be flying very high. I see planes where I live all the time (near O'hare) and the ones that have the same brightness as the these moving stars always have visible navigation lights...even when they are flying at a high altitude.

Any ideas???

Tonight my husband and I were loading junk in back of truck(it's 11:20 p.m.), and we noticed a few big star like objects which are always up there every clear night, anyways, we noticed one huge one was was really blinking, flashing, more than usual, and a there was a small one under it(not right under it but a good few feet (looking from ground to sky what looks like few feet) below it was blinking every time the big one would and it looked like it might of been connected to it somehow. There was another huge one on other side of sky that was just glowing real bright as always. Well, that's when we noticed a white substance in the sky like it was being disbursed from these things or they were causing it? You could see a think wide line of white smog looking stuff in the air stretching across the sky towards the other big one. Within 10 min. the sky was full, foggy, smelled chemical, and was no longer a clear night. Couldn't even see the big shiny ones anymore. Then everything looked black. I mean the air was black looking instead of whitish fog looking. I have seen this happening before a few times. Sometimes it would be flakes or looked like it was sleeting heavily and it was put out by something up there and was always late night hours. Most times you can smell a chemical odor. Are they gassing us and who is they and what kind of gas is it?? Anyone else ever see this happen? It did not long ago down here in the south on top of Fla.
