My grandfather passed on from ALS...a truly terrible disease that I wish no one would ever have to go through in any way, shape, or form. I truly feel sad for his family and friends who had to endure through these tough times. I pray that we can rid the world of this awful disease as soon as possible. My condolences to his family and friends who had to endure through these toughest of times...

I raise my sword to you,
A right true warrior,
you fought on all fronts,
no quarter asked.

No man can do better.

Rest in Peace.

GREAT IDEA and YES we will create a special title for Shots' account in tribute to all he gave of himself to this community.

We will also be making a donation, per his wishes, to the ALS Association in his home town.

mark...

How about "Eternal Moderator"
or "ATS Heavenly Administrator"

R.I.P SHOTS and condolences to the family.

Sad to see a member of the community pass away.

I use the word community as it best describes the amazing mix of people here, enriched by many great characters like SHOTS.

He'll be missed.

Because the majority of shots threads were in the breaking news or alternative news category. Perhaps the title of chief journalist would be appropriate.

What words might I say? Are there any strong enough?
Shots. I never met you, yet feel as though I know you. You were passionate in your beliefs. You never waivered in your stance.
I believe I speak for many when I say how much you will be missed.

A tremendous loss to the ATS community and to the world. What a great, passionate person he was. My absence from the board has left me feeling thoughtless and discompassionate that I did not know he had faded from our presence.

Thank you, jsobecky for checking. And thank you for sharing what you learned. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. And my wishes go out that his passions be carried forward by his comrads.

Vos pulsatus meus pectus pectoris quod mens quod iam EGO sum magis.

Godspeed, shots.

*salute*

Shots made an impact on many lives here at ATS....

How much more can any of us ask for in our lives?

This quote comes to mind....

Every man dies - Not every man really lives.”

This is horrible news that shots will no longer be with his family and us here at ATS. Atleast whatever pain and suffering he may have went through is gone now.

I'll catch you on the flip-side, shots

Ya this sucks..

I was wondering for a while why I haven't seen him post anything..

I always paid attention to most of his posts.. they were good to read and informative...

Sorry about his loss, but he is somewhere better now without all the pain and suffering....

It is painful to lose such an extraordinary member of our online family, but it is comforting to know that I'm not the only one who will miss him.

I am beyond words, I have been gone from the internet since Friday, and the first thing I noticed after logging in ATS is the band on ATS with RIP SHOTS.

I am very sad, never in my U2s with Shots he enver hinted that he had health problems, because it was always about a topic or subject that we were debating.

I will miss him with all my hart.

I wish his family the best in their time of need.

This is a real shame, I had no idea the man was ill.

I disagreed with him often, but he seemed like a decent sort of person.

A loss for the ATS community to be sure.

R.I.P.

The wind is finally at your back, Shots. May eternal peace be with you on this final journey.

Send us a postcard upon arrival, will you?

God's speed, my friend...
