NASA didn't go alone to the moon. DOD took the "Hot Rod" (Project Orion) along with Apollo as a back up in case Apollo needed a rescue.

I thought they went to the moon on and off for 3 years but I never heard of the "hot rod" till now.

Want to see the "Hot Rod"? It violated a Treaty we had at the time, hence why it's been kept secret:

The space weapons non-proliferation agreement is a bad joke for many reasons. First of all america and russia were not really enemies to begin with and second they installed SDI just the same so I don't think it has anything to do with intercepting russian icbms. It probably has to do with shooting down alien craft or space debris!

Dropping little nulear bombs behind you then detonating them for propulsion....what a wicked ride Orion propulsion must have been. That's why NASA no longer goes to the moon. DOD's space travel methods are much more efficient.

Never heard of that before either. Maybe your talking about nuclear and/or antimatter propulsion?

Now see why DOD's moon travels must be kept secret? Americans would be irrate they are suffering in poverty while the national wealth was used to build small nuclear powered space rovers, the "Hot Rod" medium sized spacecraft...and what we have today.....full fledged Legacy Class starships.

I bet most of the wealth went to build DUMBS in america and the rest of the world for the rich "elite" scumbags to ride out the biblical apocalypse that may or may not happen during the next few years. A lot of money may have also went to alternative 3 scenarios such as building outposts/bases throughout our solar system...of course the people don't know # because everything is "fiction" to them.

Ah, I see: You don't understand it therefore no one can, and/or the tides are a freemason/illuminati/NWO/reptilioid/grey alien conspiracy.

Got it. Thanks.

Sorry, but your post? From a person who (do you still?) believes that the Moon doesn't rotate about its axis?

Does the moon rotate??
You will say yes, it rotates once in each orbit..
I'd say it maybe just a perception..
Like if I carried a basketball in the same position and ran around the world is that ball actually rotating?
Certainly not from my perspective...

Thats what I try to tell people but they don't believe me.

Even if it does rotate, while revolving around the earth, its ONE HELL OF A COINCIDENCE in terms of synchronising with earth which is highly suggestive of aritificial manipulation. Its no coicidence some people call the moon...our spaceship moon!

NO, it is not a "coincidence":

Even if it does rotate, while revolving around the earth, its ONE HELL OF A COINCIDENCE in terms of synchronising with earth ...

Just about every major and minor natural satellite in our Solar System exhibits similar behavior.

It is called, either, "tidal" or "gravitational" locking (depends on your preference).

"Tidal Locking"

List of known tidally locked bodies

MORE, "non"-Wiki:

Thus, billions of years from now the Earth will always keep the same face turned toward the Moon, just as the Moon already always keeps the same face turned toward the Earth. We will encounter other examples of such tidal locking in other pairs of objects in the Solar System.

I have often tried to get my head around why no one on earth ever gets to see the dark side of the moon with my average intellect, the best i can come up with is it only revolves once every time it encircles the earth.

If i am correct thats a pretty slow rate of rotation.

Earth-based telescopes just don't have the resolution (yet). The "Very Large Array" in Chile...MIGHT, if effort were put forth, and its entire systems were used. But, more important things to look at, when there is only a fringe element of people who believe in the Apollo "hoax".

Meanwhile, the LROC and LRO camera missions took a lot of good photos. Here, a guy did some enhancements, using a technique that he explains:

What about the hubble telescope in high orbit? It could zoom-in on any planet throughout our solar system and give us crystal clear photography! Just to clarify my position I don't believe in the apollo hoax, but I do believe they saw things up there that they didn't feel like sharing with the public, eventhough the public paid lots of money and is entitled to much more than what they are currently getting.

After hoagelands "Nasa: Dark Mission" and various other insider testimony I bet a lot of people are convinced of nasa wrongdoings. Face and the cydonia pyramids on mars, glass-like structures/giant ufos hiding in craters/nuclear reactor archimedes/big cities on the far side/minning for helium and other materials on the moon/etc.

In other words I think we are getting royally screwed by the NWO!!!

The moon's too close for hubble to focus on..

No, it isn't. Link

To further answer EarthCitizen's question, Hubble is not in "high" orbit; it's only ~300 miles up, which isn't jack compared to the overall distance from the Earth to the Moon (~220,000 miles). A telescope's resolution is determined by the the size of its optics: The Hubble has a 2.4 meter primary mirror, which is modest compared to the major telescopes on Earth, such as the Mayall at Kitt Peak (4m), the Hale at Palomar (5.1m) and the Keck at Mauna Kea (10m). Hubble's advantage is its location above the Earth's atmosphere. This enables it to get closer to its maximum theoretical resolution (see link below) than its larger, Earthbound cousins. Also, because it does not have to deal with that pesky day/night thing, it can take very long exposures that allow it to see exceptionally faint objects.

This link explains in detail why the Hubble (and every other telescope on Earth) is too small to resolve hardware on the Moon.

Hope this helps.

I stand corrected..

Strange that it can take pics of distant galaxies yet only low resolution shots of the moon...

"Why has NASA never gone back to the moon?"

It is quite simple really... you can't go back to a destination that you have never visited previously.

Thus, you can assume with this statement, that I do not think that anyone ever has ever been to the surface of the moon.

And here are some reasons as to why...

1.) We have satellites that can image what type of cigarettes a person is holding or the numbers on a lottery ticket, yet not one of the space imaging devices is able to see with obvious clarity, any of the junk they supposedly left there. Nasa and the Gov't have the technology to end this debate once and for all. The fact that they don't take one of these satellites or ground based telescopes and do a live show zooming in and out, and clearly showing everything from the stars on the flag to the rover tracks on the surface, just goes to justify skeptics beliefs.

2.) If they really had 800+ lbs of real moon dust/soil/rock samples why did it takes forty years to come up with the notion that there is water in the craters. Surely the evidence would have been in those samples yet here we are slamming primitive rockets into craters so that we can look at the different color spectrums being released in the explosions from our super telescopes and satellites.

3. Again, here we are slamming primitive rockets into the Moon, yet we supposedly have incredible Robots roaming the surface of Mars. These advanced Robots are taking beautiful photos and testing the enviroment and atmosphere and doing whatever else it is that NASA robots do, yet we have never landed one of these on the moon to test the craters for H20, or take photos, or give us live views of the Earth online and occasionally cruise by a few human made relics.

Just saying, logically it makes no sense...

Nice post there Delphi, some good points very similar to my own previously.
NASA supposedly has the ability to see outside the boundaries of our universe but cannot show us proof of their moon exploits. Then again they fooled most of us previously, with their vastly improved tech they can probably do it again.

Showing tech on the moon does not mean man has been there..
Not even bringing back samples does as we know the Russians already did that with robotics in the Luna program..

I'm not 100% sure we went there but I also haven't yet seen the "smoking gun" that proves we haven't..

Not going back and lousy pics just add fuel to the fire..

Indeed! At first glance you would think so, but when you work-out the math you find that an Apollo Lunar Module Descent Stage (4m across) at the distance of the Moon (384400Km)subtends an angle of only ~0.002 arc seconds, whereas a galaxy 100,000 light-years across and 10 billion light-years away subtends an angle of ~2 arc seconds. Even though the galaxy is fantastically further away, it is so unimaginably large that, even across the universe, it appears a thousand time larger than the biggest object we left on the Moon!

You want to know why we didn't go back to the moon? Well that is the easy answer The American people is why we never went back.

The government cut NASA's budget because of a lack of public support. As one news reporter said going to the moon is about as exciting as going to the corner store. So with the lack of public watchers the fed government cut their funding.

was a sad day but NASA couldn't fund the space shuttle and apollo at the same time.

How true..
The public didn't want to bail out the banks to the tune of $billions either but that didn't stop the Government doing it..
Lame excuse..
