Why has NASA never gone back to the moon?

Did something they aren't telling us actually go down on the moon? Where we warned to never return to the moon again?

Otto Binder, a former NASA employee, claimed it was overheard by amateur radio enthusiasts who could access a confidential channel. Neil Armstrong - the first man to set foot on the Moon - denies it. At approximately 6-30 a.m. on 17th March 1990, a radio ham from Baltimore, Donald Ratsch, was listening to transmissions from Discovery when he heard the following:"Houston, this is Discovery, we have a problem. We have a fire". Shortly after Ratsch claims he heard "Houston this is Discovery, we still have the Alien spacecraft under observance".A former mission specialist with NASA , Bob Oeschler conducted an intense investigation into these events and concluded that the message had in fact been broadcast from the vicinity of Fort Meade in Maryland, an area where the US National Security Agency had it's base. The NSA has long been interested in UFOs and Oeschler was of the opinion that the transmission was a deliberately set-up hoax for some intelligence purpose.

And if you really do think about it. NASA hasn't been back to the moon since. They always send people to the space station but to The Moon again. They've never been back. I'm not saying there are aliens or being on The Moon but I'm just exposing the fact that NASA isn't telling us the true story of what really happening on the moon and why NASA hasn't been back since.

I know someone asked NASA why haven't they been back. And to this day NASA has NEVER answered our question.....

I, too, wonder what's going on "out there." I have no theories or proof to offer, but I have my own ideas. The moon holds many secrets.

Perhaps one day we'll have more answers. Until then, it's all speculation.

Mission Control:

The FBI files infer that NASA was (is) withholding filmed evidence of UFOs to which the general public is being denied access and the remarks about Gemini 4 is of special interest because James McDivitt, a pilot with Gemini 4, confirmed that during the mission he did see an "unidentified object".

On 4th December 1965, astronauts Borman and Lovell of the Gemini 7 mission were involved in this communication with Mission Control:

Gemini 7: Bogey at 10 o' clock high.

Mission Control: This is Houston, say again seven.

Gemini 7: We have bogey at 10 o' clock high.

Mission Control: Gemini 7 is that the booster or is that an actual sighting?

Gemini 7: We have several, looks like debris up here. Actual sighting.

Mission Control: Estimate distance or size?

Gemini 7: We also have booster in sight.

On 12 September 1966, Gemini astronauts, Richard Gordon and Charles Conrad reported to Mission Control that their craft was being observed by a UFO estimated at being about six miles away.

Unexplained sighting - Gemini 11

On 13th September 1966, astronauts Charles Conrad and Richards Gordon observed an object that remains unidentified to this day. The object, which they managed to capture on film, traveled so close to Gemini 11 that it would normally be very easy to identify but despite claims that it was, in fact, the Proton 3 satellite or parts thereof (claimed by NORAD) , the object still remains anomalous.

Following the Gemini missions the Apollo Space Program took effect and on 20th July 1969 the astronauts of Apollo 11 took their first steps on the surface of the Moon. Although it was claimed that nothing unusual was seen by the astronauts, rumors that the crew were "never alone" whilst on the moon began to circulate. The following conversation is alleged to have taken place between Mission Control and the crew of Apollo 11:-

Apollo 11: What was it? What the hell was it? That's all I want to know. These babies were huge, sir......... oh God, you wouldn't believe it...

NASA : What....what the hell's going on?

Apollo 11: They are here, under the surface.

NASA : What's there? Mission Control calling Apollo 11.

Apollo 11: Roger, we're here, all three of us. But we have found some visitors..... They've been here for quite a while judging by the installations.... I'm telling you there are other spacecraft out there. They're lined up in ranks on the far side of the crater's edge.....

What's this uproar about UFOs? Over. They're set up down there...they're on the moon... watching us....

Hmmmm, that has always sent chills down my spine. I think they were trying to tell Houston (in code) that they were being observed by ET's.

Then there was that other incident, I can't remember what astronaut or mission but they said something like "We would like to confirm that there is a Santa Claus."

Again was it code for something far more sinister?

Can anyone shed light on the mission and the astronaut. My memories shot!

my guess is that after the moon, they have been preparing for a trip to mars. even though it would take while...

of course i only say this because i have no idea WHY we havent truely been back, but i have seen the vids about "why we havent gone back to the moon"

Yeah that is what has always gotten me about The Moon Landing. We know that it's obvious if they landed on the moon they would return for further research.

Those damn shading and shadow picks kinda made it look phoney as hell also!

There's no money in it. That's why we haven't gone back. The scientific knowledge gained from manned lunar exploration was determined by most of the American people to be not worth the cost of continued activity there. Going to the Moon is very, very expensive for just a few rocks. We were willing to do it to beat the Russians there during the Cold War, but that's not an issue any more.

Maybe someday we'll go back there to mine some Helium-3, but by that time we might find and easier way to get it, or manufacture it, or to do fusion research without it.

The most obvious use for the Moon right now is radioastronomy. Putting several huge radio telescopes in craters on lunar farside, shielded from most of the radio noise of Earth, would probably allow us to find any alien signals that might be floating around out there. And the construction could be done by little, web-spinning robots pretty cheaply, too.

We'll make it back to the Moon eventually, but we need a really good reason to do it.

Apollo 8 launched on December 21st.......this comment was made on Day 4.....December 25, Christmas Day for much of the Christian world. The astronaut was having some fun.

I think that Santa might be a code word for UFO's, that may be why they say "December"; because they wanted to say that they saw a UFO without the public knowning. On the Apollo 8 mission Jim Lovell said "Be advised , there is a Santa Claus", a link?

Mr Nohup.....I found an interesting item on the Caterpillar website.

I ain't no good at grammar or spelling, and especially bad at learning how to bring things into the thread.

So perhaps someone else can....

Specifically, there is a bit about how Caterpillar is developing automated and remote-controlled mining equipment for use on the Moon. (Heck, for all I know, it may already be up there!!!)

(Editing, forgot to add): The mining plan as I understand it would be to locate at the South Pole. Clementine detected possible water ice there.

The pole is also ideal since it avoids the extremes of temperature differences that other latitudes would experience. AND, there is a constant 'twilight'. AND, I expect that besides the water ice, there will also be plenty of Helium 3 there as well.

Sure, there are always companies working on various gadgets for space exploration. That's what's known as "white collar welfare," since the government does it to funnel money into industry and keep a lot of scientists off the unemployment lines. Whether or not anybody is actually going to shoot these things to the Moon is a whole nuther question.

As for there being a secret space program working on the Moon, I like the idea, but I just don't see how such a possibly huge program could be kept secret for very long. John Lear seems to think it's happening, but he could never offer any good proof of it. Just his usual sly wink.

This is exactly the reason. The technology involved in the trip has remained largely the same. As newer technologies emerge, going to the moon and establishing a permanent outpost there will become economically feasible. I believe Kaku estimated us to have a permanent manned moonbase by 2100.

Funny, Mr Nohup that you mentioned JL. I recall very well a landscape 'photo' of the Moon he once posted that he purported to be proof of an atmosphere. It showed a bright yellow sky.

Imagine how dumbfounded I was to see that very same 'photo' on the Caterpillar website!! Ain't that special!!!!!

(hint.....yellow is a trademark color for Caterpillar)

I'd never heard the term white collar welfare before, but that is basically correct. Again, just not feasible at this point in time. You are talking about putting 50-100 ton machines on the moon. In the future, when we have a manned moonbase, remote controlled machines mining the moon are a real possibility.
