"h" is the 8th letter in the alphabet. When will it start? ....

8 / 8 / 8

...if you can believe Crakeur, that is

Are we supposed to U2U to the mods or admins when we feel we have the right answer, or do they just read from the thread and take it from there?

Because we do alot of "what if it`s" and "that could be it"`s.

Are we thinking in the right direction with this?
Has anyone been in the chat, and seen if they have been throwing clues around there?

No clues in chat so far

is there a tiniwiki yet ?

The page has changed again!

I am not sure if it has something to do that I typed "whatistheconspiracy.com/080808.html"

But after reloading the page after that, it had changed.

It WAS 08.08.08

Wow cool.

I'm not sure this is following the old [answer].html format. Did you get some sort of response on the web page?

It seems to me Hunt is watching and changing the game site as we move through the puzzle.

Seriously pissed at MS office right now.

I figured it is wingdings, AS it is. and after copying and pasting every symbol, to finally just change the font to i.e Times new Roman, it just comes as Squares.
dang.

Ill try some more.

Really had high hopes for the changing of the font-project

Well, it seems just "translating" the symbols, with wingdings is not enough. After again, taking one and one symbol, making `em into regular letters, this is what i got..

"Dxix bvqyskxi
Yihjswwat rpxrjvsgq,
Qwfpjvwgq nvxfb hivmxq,
Ysthfxjx qsfpjvgq
Bxfvkxi ysgyfpbvgw
Yinhjswizhd qjzjxtxgj."

Take in account that some of them might be wrong, since it wasn`t so easy to se a difference between the "diamond" shapes.

Anyways, im guessing we have to either rearrange the letters correct, OR try some codebreaking

Yeah it's wingdings. I've been translating to alpha characters and this is what the first line looks like:

DXIX BVQYSKXI

I don't think I want to go any further until I can make sense of at least the first line.

Well we know what R is from the previous "WHEN WILL IT START" clue. So you can fill in the r's and go from there.

Actually i got a 404

So it might have been a sick coincidence

Im guessing the easiest way to break the code is to take the double constonates (or what its called) double K`s, double L`s and so fort. find out what it might be, figure the differance in letters, and subtract the same with the rest of the letters.

Would have been Way easier if we had some sort of software for us

The R is the box/cube symbol pointing down and to the left. Refer to my earlier post.

edit: Actually that doesn't help at all.

I`think it might be something to play with, now that I have the letters arranged.

"Dxix bvqyskxi
Yihjswwat rpxrjvsgq,
Qwfpjvwgq nvxfb hivmxq,
Ysthfxjx qsfpjvgq
Bxfvkxi ysgyfpbvgw
Yinhjswizhd qjzjxtxgj."

Anyone wanna try the method we used in grade school? make the A`s into C`s, and doing the same with every other character in the same pattern..

The way I've done it before is, if there are alot of symbols/letters, look for the most common one, as it is usually "E" and then go from there. That's the best advice I can give. I'm going to have a go. This may take some time

I checked it for a Ceaser Cypher...

It's not one of those

It seems kinda stupid, that in this case, the symbols reprasented does not correspond with the "font" that is used.

It was correct in the two earlier clues, so why not now?

But i Wish you all best of luck, as this one seems a little harder

Well I worked out the last two without knowing the font, so it is possible.

Your changing into letters helped as it's easier to see the symbols defined clearer. I'm going to print out a few copies to write on.

To do this from scratch, remember to look for obvious patterns that are used in words and the "E" is usually the most used letter.

Hope that helps.
