If you are not going to vote "liberal" then who the hell are you voting for? Obviously, McCain is the only other alternative besides not voting.

A vote for McCain is a vote for more war, debt and a military draft. Ybab, I hope we never cross paths in the Iran war if McCain wins.

So you are insinuating that to support the troops, one MUST yearn for them to come home at any cost?

I dont want a single American troop to die, so don't get me wrong. One of my very best friends is there right now. And i do miss him greatly.

This is what they get paid to do, and that pay comes from our hard earned money. So to say "you dont support the troops if you support the cause" is ignorance.

The Iraq war was based on lies. We should never have gone in.

Why do you believe Americans are obligated to pay for the Iraq occupation? I can understand if our oil interests need protection but war was not justified. Can you explain your reasoning?

if you wanna talk about 9/11 conspiracies, there's already a forum there for it. Wanna talk about religious conspiracies, alreayd a forum for it.

There's even a "general" conspiracy forum for ... you guessed it, misc conspiracies.

"ABOVE POLITICS" isnt a cess pool for conspiracies. If you want to talk about your own conspiracies, then go somewhere else.

Sorry, but both major parties have a long history of having both liberals and conservatives, as well as middle of the roaders within their ranks.

It is only in very recent history that ultra-conservatives have tried to drive everyone else out of the Republican party. It is a direct result of including the racists from the south, and the rest of the idiots that can't understand that anyone else can possibly think differently than they do.

Most of them would be anathema to the father of Modern Conservatism, Barry Goldwater. He said, before he died, that any party that spend so much time worry about who is sleeping with whom, is in real trouble. I proudly cast my first presidential ballot for him.

No, most of what call themselves "conservatives" today are not at all conservative. They are so ultra far right that even Libertarians can't stand them. They have a great deal in common with the American Nazi's, and other fascist types.

They have never, never had a successful Presidential candidate, and they never will. Thank God for that!

So does Abraham lincoln Being a republican make all republican ideologies of today "divine law"? No. It doesnt.

What today's libearls have turned into is a bunch of flip flopping yellow bellied cowards who can't say what tehy really believe in, because they'd loose the minority vote.

Today's conservatives are a bunch of money hungry vultures who can't say what they reall want - because they'd loose the "average" republican vote.

If you want to compare ANY president to those of today's time, compare the only one who didnt belong to a party of any sort.

Totally right, these conservatives today are fakes. Most of these republicans only vote for the sake of protecting their ignorant lives, it has nothing to do with small government and taxes. This support for Bush and McCain are pure examples.

If more conservatives were voting Ron Paul or maybe Barr I'd have better hope for true conservative values returing to the Republican party.
