Ok, here's my problem.. a mod by the name of 12m8keall2c informed me that one of my posts was too simplistic and therefore deducted 20 points from my account.

Yet, in that very same thread where I supposedly posted a simplistic reply, there was a person not far above me on the same page who was posting just as simplistic as me(opposing opinion though), apparently the mods around here don't care about the rules..they only care about what they agree with and what they don't, and therefore use the rules to their liking.

It is quite obvious to me that ATS is a biased website. Since all of the content of this place and it's creativity are user generated..then if anything, the users should be shown more respect instead of nitpicking over every single post one can make.

I have had a problem before on ATS and I ended up having an argument with an admin here called Djarum, fortunately Djarum listened to my point of view, and helped me with my problem, but that was only after a week of e-mails between me and him arguing over moral principles and stuff like that.

I know that one of the ATS elite around here will eventually reply to this particular post. And I also know that I will end up being cited the rules and regulations of this site. So please spare me the corporate talk and tell me something I don't know for once.

Edit: oh and by the way..before anyone tells me to contact this guy, I would like to add that I did send him two seperate u2u's and he is yet to reply.

Sincerely, Majorion

He was certainly quick to do this rude thing to me, why can't I expect the same efficiency from him in replying?

Also, I did contact him the moment this happened. He just happened to do this and immediately went offline? Yeah, sure

I must agree, as a memeber since the early days, things have gotten out of hand in terms of censorship.

Ever since ATS got bought out it seems the trend is only getting worse.

If ATS was bought out that might be a valid comment but ownership remains in the hands of the amigos

Mate, when you signed up for this site you agreed to the T&C which is there to protect the members and owners of the site.

No offense but you sound like you are whinging over the fact mummy hit you with a wooden spoon.

With all this election fever i suppose that the mod who penalized you is probably busy.
I sort of agree and understand your annoyance at having points taken for a post that was viewed as too simplistic.
I have seen many times in many different threads very simple posts that have gone unnoticed, not everyone has a lot to say on a subject but would still like to say something and it doesn't seem right that someone should be penalized for their point being a short one.
Ever heard the term "short but sweet"?
There have been many times that i have had a relevant point to make and i have made it in one or two lines by being concise so i suppose those posts were to simplistic.

I know that the mods would like posts to be as good as possible but there are times when people just cannot write a great amount about a subject they want to comment on.
Not everybody is the same and as such they cannot garuntee that they will be able to post to the standard that the mods would like.

Anyway i hope you get your answers as to what and why it happened.

Im concerned. I came to ATS to try to get the other side of the story. Not to see the same crap that is all over the media. Why do we need 4 different forums for politics. realy! One should be sufficient. Politics is always the same... Someone is greedy... Someone lied.... Someone is gonna start WW3.. Someone cheated... Give it a break people. Who cares who won the election. Nothing will change. Its all a cherade (SP?). "The events on here are real, the names and faces have been changed to protect the GUILTY!" Above Top Secret.... There is nothing secret about politics Except its all a big sham. Something else to put the veil over eyes for another 7 or 8 months. Please people dont turn this super cool site into a political BS site. I vote no more political bs on this site. If you agree please star, if not then please bash me and my silly views. all welcome.

This is the second time I recall that you jumped onto the board with this same thing. You DO know that we are human and have lives right? I told you in the past that if you have an issue you can u2u me, told you how. Me? I have no life.

I have never contributied to this 6-month thread, but heres my Suggestion...

I propose, that when a Mod chooses to make a post deemed, 'Off Topic' or 'Political baiting' that they should have to have it DISPLAYED that THEY did it.

In the past, when a mod would remove some of a post, it would show up that the post was edited by that Mod.

Now, with the little image the insert, that acountablity has been taken away.

I think that the membership of ATS should be entitled to KNOW who did it.

It's logged so that the entire staff can see this or any other action. We ARE held accountable.

Interesting, because my understanding of the system was that if a post was deemed off topic or in any otherway in violation of the T&C, it enacted a warning, and in turn, the staff member in question would be listed in a U2U sent to the user.

Why make it everyone elses business who removed the post? That's not of their concern, nor any of their business. It's between the offender and the mod.

Any member who has a post removed automatically receives a u2u that shows them which staff member initiated the action. It is not a mystery to the member in question.

The offending member is informed via an automated u2u which staff member issued the warning. An exchange between the two can ensue from there to discuss it any further. Members that are not involved need not be informed as to who issued the penalty. I'm confused on why someone would want to even know.

If a member feels that a staff member is acting inappropriately, submit a complaint to be reviewed by the staff.

I love how you guys seem to think that the mods are some perfect form of people who never make mistakes. You've obviously never run a message board, or moderated one. Mistakes happen all the time, and I know for a fact that mods here have lives OUTSIDE of ATS. Don't put this on them because you aren't getting a matter resolved right away, you aren't paying for the site, and yet all you're doing is whining about it.

The mods get nothing.
You pay nothing.
Show a little respect.

(bolding mine)

Moderators STILL edit posts wherever needed. Censor circumvention, ALL CAPS in titles, botched quotes, copy/paste text without 'ex' tags, etc., are edited when moderators happen to see them.

When moderators edit posts that are not Off Topic, for example, their name still appears at the bottom of the post.
