A NEW EARTH
That was the title of the book that got me curious and i read the first chapter in the store and was amazed at what i read. i bought the book and read the entire thing and was quite impressed. then i hear about Oprah doing an in depth class on the book. Well i don't watch her and never felt her to be as threatening as so many of you scared nay sayers and haters . if it wasn't oprah would you consider reading the book? i think you would be shocked if you did. She didn't right it and its not at all what you think it is.
i challenge you to conquer your FEAR of Oprah or whatever you tell yourself to degrade the info in those pages. its a very simple read.. and simple ideas to help you pay attention of what is going on in this world and in your own mind. i don't care if you are Christian, Jewish, Atheist, Muslim or what ever as long as you can read it you'll know if its right for you and if you're mentally strong enough you may just try it. if not then let your imaginations run your life and keep you from investigating what things might be.
F E A R. False Events Appearing Real... don't be afraid ... A new earth wont hurt you... throwing stones an sticking your head in the ground might though lol

Are you with me so far? Most indigent cultures do not believe in one God, they have many. They also believe that all things have spirit, including inanimate objects such as the air, fire and water.

It seems you shouldn't be at all concerned regarding whether 2012 happens or not. After all, it was perceived by a culture who encourages the same premise as New Age spiritualists. Do you choose to believe a calendar end date that was made up by a civilization that believed in more than one God?

Yet I read a thread where you stated, "We are moving into the age of aquarius, also our sun is going through some magnetic cycle affecting our weather, it is also affecting our pineal gland (our third eye) to produce more '___', in turn people are experiencing mass awakening preparing us for the age of aquarius. The mayan calendar is not ending, merely turning over to a new age, like an odometer in a car."

Why does the Mayan calendar matter to you? After all, they believe in more than one God and they're heavily into spirituality concepts that are similar to New Age spiritualists.

It seems any Christian or Roman Catholic would almost think it's blasphemy to consider such a premise of having more than one God.

Ironically, we don't hear the stories of Mayan elders or Indian chiefs sodomizing little boys. I wonder why?

Then again, maybe you're right. If so, then what exactly is it that upsets you about other people finding spirituality regardless of how they obtain it. Do you perceive yourself and your religion superior to anyone else's? Is an aethist better than a New Age person in your books? Are only people who believe in exactly what you believe in going to Heaven?

Why do you feel you the need to label people and their beliefs?

That type of mentality caused the Holy Wars.

I'm grateful for anyone who seeks to improve themselves spiritually, especially if it's done with the right intentions.

Where's the problem?

The road to hell is paved with 'right intentions'.

Getting into a cult that claims 'I am god' 'you are god' is the problem.
We are not God. We didnt' create this world. We didnt' create our own souls.

It's a false road and, even though people have good intentions and want to improve themselves, it DOES NOT improve them and it has no truth.

THOSE are the problems.

I am sick of Oprah, actually I have been sick of her for years, it is the ole power trip thingy, people but these TV personalities up on such high pedestals, they idolize them, and Bingo, Oprah is a god.

There is definately something going on as per a heightening of worldwide conciousness. Yeah maybe Oprah is pretty obnoxious to some, but be reaches a lot of people.

The torch has been passed to Oprah at this point. The awakening was actually started by Dr. Helen Schucman when she scribed "A Course In Miracles" (acim.org) back in 1975. All other books by Eckart Tolle, Marianne Williamson, and Deepak Chopra reflect these teachings. Many world religions as well as Christianity have bits and pieces of this as well.

We are evolving from a thought process based on fear to a thought process based on love. We need to become healthier in mind, body and spirit in order for this change to take place. You need to start exercising, start meditating, start listening to meditation chants (Jonathan Goldman and Baird Hersey chants are good), and love one another with a boundless and unconditional love.

In a nutshell we need to dissolve the ego which feeds off of our fears like a parasite and live in the now which we have been denying do to our egoic way of living.

Also, along with writers there are artists playing their part as well. check out Sheryl Crow - Out Of Our Heads or Dave Matthews - So Much To Say, Snow Patrol - The finish Line and It's beginning to get to me, Jack Johnson, John Mayor, Josh Ritter... and others

Bottom line... there is nothing to be afraid of.

What is the basis of your allegation of a "cult that claims 'I am god' 'you are god' "? Who said anything about New Age spirituality being about that? You're making a broad generalization based on, allegedly, a select few. That's like saying all Roman Catholics are the same as Methodists.

Do you discount all other religions who believe in more than one God, such as the Mayans and the Hopi? These religions date back before the Bible, so who is right and who is wrong? Should it matter as long as we're all heading in the same direction and are on the same team?

The new Age religion has taken many forms. they are all occult. the Bible is a accumulation of writings that dates back thousands of years, only translated word for word in 1500 to 1611. The Bible was written by 40 different men over a period of 1600 years. All were eyewitnesses up close and personal.

All the religions are a banquet of false doctrine designed by inspiration from Satan to lead mankind from the one true God and his son our redeemer, Jesus Christ. The New Age religion comes from the New Age movement which is by the way, a term and concept that has been integrating itself into our society and the world, starting in 1960's. It became public in 1975. A good example is the current "Oprah's new church".

What were they eye-witnesses to exactly? What make these stories any more valid than that which has been written before or since? The bible is an edited work, it was compiled by men who decided what to include and what to exclude. It was decided how that information should be 'interpreted'.

Why do we have sapience if not to use it for our own benefit and the benefit of the planet? There is no right way, there is no single path. I have recently been reading Romans, and excuse me if my interpreation differs from yours, but I like to use my own mind and not be told how to use it...but basically when you sift all the extraneous details to one side, there is a universality there. We do not need to be told what is good or bad we know already. We do not need others to set down laws and rules for us to follow, because when we look within ourselves it is clear what is good and what is bad. i do not need someone to tell me that taking the life of another is wrong, I know this already. Therefore I do not need the rules, I rule myself.

The fact that many religions teach difference is proof to me that they have lost touch with the truths that the bible contains and I therefore can understand why some are looking elsewhere for answers. They know in themselves that the religions that they follow are wrong and this is demonstrated in that what they preach contradicts the bible itself.

If a god exists that will judge me and others solely based up on whether we believe that Jesus Christ is the one true path to salvation, then I do not wish for that god's salvation. If judgement is to occur it should be on our actions, what we give freely to aid others, and what we do to improve the lives of those around us. In my opinion god is love and love is god. This is what Jesus taught, beyond all the interpretations and dressings, and in that respect I agree with him wholeheartedly.

After all Jesus was once a fisher of men, who's decision was it that he be shepherd to those with only the will to follow?

The Secret has already allowed us to tap into the 5th dimension reality by thoughts creating manifestations. There is still minimal work involved but it works, none the less.

This is basically the testing waters for thoughts = manifestations because the world isn't ready for this to become reality. Look at all of the people who are scared inre to 2012? What realities would (and will) they create by thinking scared and negative? Especially when they scr\ared about something that is out of their control.

I watched the intro video that the OP posted and I got nothing from it.

I do believe in a creator and a proper way of life but I don't follow a religion per se.
I've been to church and I've witnessed the hypocrisy of it all.I suppose my problem with organized religion is that it's organized.Formulated and regurgitated to the masses.
I personally prefer to talk to people of different religions and I take with me a piece of that belief and combine it with what I have learned during my 44 years on Earth.
I've learned a lot from all walks of life whether that person is "religious" or not.
I prefer debate and discussion over being told what I must do to be a better person.I can decide for myself what is right and what is wrong and I'm accountable for my own actions.
People to need to take the time to reflect and analyze who they are and how they can change in a positive manner.
My reply really has nothing to do with Oprah as much as it has to do with the "quick fix" feeling I got from the video link.It reminded me of a diet commercial.

****They were eye-witnesses to the actual events. The Bible was not edited, only translated word for word. There is no way it was edited and still the best seller since it was published. If they decided to edit it and include this or that, then why attack it and try to change it? it is the true word of God. It gives man a look into the supernatural world of God. The events happened in the way it was described as Gods power was manifested in those times.

We have free will and we have knowledge, and we are told the truth, but we are rebellious. There is a single path. The New Age Movement is a lie. The “Great Invocation” is a lie. The Aquarian Age is a lie by Satan that will lead millions to their death.

We don’t know already what is right or wrong. God sets the standards as he is the creator and our judge whether we like it or not. We have Satans voice in us if we don’t have the Holy Spirit protecting us. We don’t rule ourselves. If so then murder, rape, stealing would be okay for some and not okay for others. So, you must excuse anyone that murders someone in your family because that was a right thing to do for them. Then, you can’t judge them, you have no God to judge them, so anything goes, right? Sure.

The different religions are designed by Satan’s inspiration to lead man from the truth of Jesus Christ. They think that their religions or beliefs are right. They also decide for themselves so you can’t judge them and excuse yourself.

God established the punishment for sin and that was death. He sent Jesus to Earth, or more specifically, God came down as Human to take that burden on himself, die for our sins so that we wouldn’t, and then he rose again to beat death…..and Satan’s hold. All we have to do is believe on him, repent of our sins and we are saved……Only by this way can we be saved. If you do not wish for Gods salvation then this is your choice. You are going against the Bible and what God said and what Jesus Said…….Judgment is based on our actions and our hearts. We don’t set the rules or the laws…..by no stretch of the imagination. God sets the rules, its his creation and his rules.

Jesus taught all that I’m telling you. He says that he is the only way to God. The Bible foretold his arrival from the Old Testament to the New Testament.

God and Jesus is the same.....the Bible says so. To say otherwise, would make Jesus a liar, Lunatic or Lord.

religion is a tool used by the elite to empower themselves while they suck your "blood."

Spirituality has more to do with science than it does with religous dogma.
I have always been deeply spiritual while being highly critical of religion. There is no heaven and there is no hell, Just Dr. Phil and Oprah.

Me. Im for peace and love. If that makes me a satan worshiper in your eyes, well then....
