Say what you will, but the nickname of Rome is "City of Seven Hills" and that's where I tie things in. Also, if you read the opening of the thread, I mentioned the 27 nations that make up the EU and how either 17 will break away or some will merge together to make 10 nations. It could mean something else like 10 unions around the globe. There are talks of the North American Union, South American Union, African Union, Asian Pacific Union and the Indian-Pacific Union. I'm just interpreting what I see today with what I read in the bible. I don't thump my bible either... I read it.

The nickname of Istanbul/Constantinople/Byzantium is the "Golden Horn"...

Ring any bells? I'm sure revelations has a few horns in.... despite me despising religion, I have actually read the bible.

You honestly think that in the near future, the recently expanded EU would suddenly break up? You've already displayed a gross misunderstanding of not only the EU, but quite a few other of your "insights" into revelations. I was actually trying to help you out and think outside the box.

But, can't be surprised that your this narrow minded.

Your so fixated on what you think it says you won't open up to alternatives. I also sense a dislike of Catholics/Rome in you....

Let me rephrase that, the US has set up permanent military bases and is providing military support for 10 countries.

We went from Christ to an Apocalypse time bomb waiting to explode in full force.

We then go from mankind to Fatherkind. That's the Day defined as Hour we each are All-Knowing of All-Time.

^^So yes, ppl knowing this now are prepared to know when we'll know ALL past, present, future concerning persons, places, and things. During so we will see God (Son of man) as the Devil eye to eye and battle eye for eye.

Weapons of all sorts will be passed out to Who Know Who we as many are. Even a vest couldnt protect them from fire. Black gold might be the weapon of choice as we force them out in the open away from a burned down place. Aint enough fire trucks in the world to save anything.

I stand corrected, however I still don't think I am too far off the mark on this one. What about nuclear arms?

The Revelations also mentions the bear (russia), the Eagle (US) the lion (UK) so perhaps we are speaking about the EU and NAU etc.

Sorry dude, I;m not trying to piss all over you as I find these threads interesting, even if I don't actually believe. But we have to deal with facts, rather than hear-say, otherwise things get mis-construed

Now, you might be onto something with the nuclear arms!

We have the following declared nuclear powers:

  1. USA
  2. UK
  3. Russia
  4. France
  5. China
  6. India
  7. Pakistan
  8. North Korea (They have declared themselves a power, but it is dubious)

And we have the following nations who are suspected of having nukes.

  1. Israel
  2. Iran

That, to me, makes 10....

We know that Israel has them because we have them, remember the agreement made last summer between Bush and Olmert?

Also I believe it is a team of ten nations, therefor Iran would not make up one of the ten and I doubt they have nukes.

All the other countries you named were on my list except South Korea so you gott 8 out of 10 theres 2 more.

I believe one of them is Australia and another from the Middle East.

Saudi doesn't even have a reactor, let alone a bomb

Now, it might be worth mentioning that Germany and Japan are weapons capable, they just don't own any warheads, although Germany were loaned warheads during the cold war to stop Soviet armoured divisions plowing through their country.

So, there's your ten.

No sorry I believe you're right, it must be Germany. Just track all of the countries Bush has been to in the past 3-4 years and you should have a better idea.

Any how thats not incredibly important. What is important is that these ten despised the beast and eventually use their powers and defeat the beast, the fall of the Roman Empire.

Earlier I mentioned the scarlet woman, This is important to remember and I believe this is the missing element that we need to understand.

The statue of Liberty stands on an island. Could this be a parallel to the Angel with one foot on the land and one on the sea? Also the Statue wears a crown with seven rays. You would be told that it stands for liberty of all seven oceans and continents. Although I have been lead to believe that it stands for seven continents governed by one rule. The torch symbolizes the elite and it's power over the world. Anyhow I believe the Statue of Liberty bears some significance if not yet then perhaps that time has not yet passed. However it has been on lock down since 9/11 which makes me think it has a significant role in things to come.

The statue of Liberty some say is a personification of Isis. Also I don't have the source available, but somebody once said that the Washington Memorial is the actual tomb of Ra reconstructed and brought over here during the eighteenth century.

Have always thought that "sleeping" referred to the people who work everyday to put food on the table and be "responsible" are hypnotized by the moral implications of being a responsible adult- paying bills etcetera, etcetera. The entire time another agenda is being fulfilled.

Face it we cannot sit by and not pay bills expecting to function in society waiting for the return of Jesus- however it is full indicated that that is what is expected or by way of distraction- we will miss the return and be stuck in this hell-hole forever.

The implication of scripture says you cannot have it both ways. I remain confused.

Just a clarification on the "seven mountains"...

Revelation 17 (King James Version)
5And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

7And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and the ten horns.

9And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains , on which the woman sitteth.

Just like a woman riding a beast, the beast is the one with all the strength and power, but the beast is guided by the woman.

As mentioned : this Mother/Harlot = Catholic Church.
Now the important thing...the "seven mountains" are ofter explained as the seven literal mountains (hills) around the Vatican city area.

While I believe that applies as a secondary explanation...
The primary one is this :
Verse 9 explains it : SEVEN HEADS = SEVEN MOUNTAINS.
Mountains, biblically represent governments.

Again...in verse 9 we have the equation
SEVEN HEADS = SEVEN MOUNTAINS.

This Whore, has guided and used her religious authority, to control the last 6 resurrections of the Holy Roman Empire. This is historic fact. The last one, the 7th resurrection, is to come soon. She will "ride" that one as well.

The 10 horns, are the 10 Kings/Kingdoms that will align their political and military strength with her religious authority.

Revelation 17 (King James Version)
12And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.

13These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.

16And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.

Eventually after "using her" and getting what they want from the false Church, they will betray.

When the Bible speaks of the "Sons of God" it is referring to the fallen ones. The ones who have remained in power throughout the age, the Elite. The seven Angels of Revelations are of the elite.

My dislike for the Roman Catholic Church is evident because of what the organization has turned traditional christianity into. All non-believers or skeptics look at traditional christianity and think christianity as a whole is a false religion. If you read the points I laid out about the Catholic and Protestant churches, you would see that I have a great reason for disliking the religion that has corrupted the real meaning of christianity. As for the EU, I also mentioned that there could be countries merge together. I also made mention of the possiblilities of the UNIONS such as the NAU and EU as possible 10 nations under one rule. I'm not ruleing out any possibilities, I'm just mentioning what I think MAY happen from what I see in the news.

G'day from Oz.

Locoman8, I have also read the texts from the Church of God, which you seem to be aware of.

I believe that most of the present churches are in error by acknowledging Gods work on a Sunday, rather than the 7th day, Saturday.

I also believe the Catholic church, and it's splinter groups, are the 'Great Harlot' of the Bible.

However, I also beleive that the end times could be averted if mankind were to repent their moving away from the biblical way of God.

Several years ago I was greatly vexed by the constant thoughts of wrong doings in my own life. I am not a church goer, but prayed for understanding and forgiveness.

One night, I dreamt I was before God, and a group of men, and was told to remember two words. I woke up and could not get back to sleep until I had entered the words on my computer. Some days later I googled the two words, and to my surprise I only got one hit, a lengthy discourse of two Jewish philosophers writings about repentence.

Nowadays the hits for the two words are numerous, but the pages by Kok-Solov still exist, and are usually the second hit.

The words? Meulah factor.

Repentance is not self flagellation, but a product of the intellect and the heart. Instead of wondering if the final days are at hand, (and I believe they are), I believe we would be better addressing the repentance that God desires from us as individuals.

Regards

That is very interesting. I see that we have much agreement on this subject, however, I don't think the end-times can be averted. The whole underlining subject of the Holy Bible..... what God is trying to tell us through scripture, is that man was given 6,000 years of self rule on this planet and the final 1,000 years would be the millenium of peace through the kingdom of God. At the end of the 6,000 years, a tribulation would happen in order to humble mankind. Without this tribulation period, mankind would not realize the deception that has been pulled over their eyes. Only a small amount of people through time have truely lived by God's rules and even those people have sinned. Jesus Christ is the only human to never sin. We are at the end of 6,000 years right now if you figure the earliest known civilations were in the 3,000 - 4,000 BC's. We are in the 21st century AD which would put us around or just past 6,000 years. I feel the final 3 1/2 years are upon us. Not to mention, even if we could stop the tribulation from happening by repenting, it still wouldn't help. There are too many people who will not repent. You have to remember that there are a very small amount of honest christians in this world. Even the Jews have corrupted their own religion. Islam has many errors within their own beliefs but christianity is probably the most plagued religion on earth because of the many different denominations who can't agree on what's right or wrong. The Church of God was the church founded by Christ and his apostles. The catholic church is the church that caused all other denominations to come about. CoG is the earliest known christian church, started in 31AD upon the death of Christ. It has always been a small church and always will. The catholic church is the biggest of all christian churches. It appeals to more people because it follows the traditions of man instead of God. Protestant churches derive from the catholic church and keep many of the traditions of men instead of God. Nobody wants to hear that Easter and Christmas are not true christian holidays and that God frowns on celebrations of pagan gods. It's the commandment, "Thou shall not worship false idols."

No one will repent, especially when told that Christmas is not a true Holy Day as we are lead to believe. Men have always turned their backs on God and kept traditions that appeal to them instead of God. The end is near, my friend, and it will come like a thief in the night for those who are not ready.

Well I was thinking about this over the weekend and it occurred to me that there have been 6 different Queens of England. Princess Diana was murdered so does leave us with 7, however since Diana will not be queen somebody will have to take her place.
