The message is likely to be posted by Thursday or Friday at the latest, SITE senior analyst Adam Raisman said. He based his judgment on past practice and announcement language describing the message's posting as "urgent," "shortly" and "Allah willing."
He said the announcement did not carry the usual banner but rather was made in plain text. Based on recent practice, Raisman said he expects the upcoming message to include an audio track illustrated with an image.
The message apparently is the first by bin Laden since November 29 when he urged European countries to end military participation with U.S. forces in the Afghan conflict.
A videotape that was heralded as "new" footage of Osama bin Laden by many quarters of the press has been conclusively proven to be more than 5 year old re-released footage, leading to questions about why the government and the media continue to act as willing propagandists for the terrorists while striking fear into Americans by claiming an attack is inevitable.

First of all,I believe Osama is dead or at the very least, gravely ill.
The guy in the posted video does not look like Osama at all.His skin is to dark, his nose is wider and flatter tha Osama's AND he appears to be right handed. He gestures and drinks with his right hand.Osama is,or was, left handed.
I find it convenient that OBL always remembers America on anniversaries and holidays.
I can't see how anyone would think these videos are the real deal.
God Damn America.
Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden threatened the European Union with grave punishment over the re-publication of cartoons of Islam's Prophet Mohammad that Muslims saw as offensive.
Bin Laden in an audio recording posted on the Internet said that the drawings which were published by Danish and other newspapers were part of a "crusade" in which the Catholic Pope was involved.

I'd say more than 70% of the United States populace believes Osama is still alive and these are legit videos.
This country is stupid. We are the most compliant, ignorant, and out of touch Nation on Earth. It truly is an embarrassment to live in this country. I wake up ashamed everyday, knowing the majority of people I will come in contact have the intellect of an eight year old.
Before I begin, I say to you that security is an indispensable pillar of human life and that free men do not forfeit their security, contrary to Bush's claim that we hate freedom.
If so, then let him explain to us why we don't strike for example - Sweden? And we know that freedom-haters don't possess defiant spirits like those of the 19 - may Allah have mercy on them.
No, we fight because we are free men who don't sleep under oppression. We want to restore freedom to our nation, just as you lay waste to our nation. So shall we lay waste to yours.
No one except a dumb thief plays with the security of others and then makes himself believe he will be secure. Whereas thinking people, when disaster strikes, make it their priority to look for its causes, in order to prevent it happening again.
But I am amazed at you. Even though we are in the fourth year after the events of September 11th, Bush is still engaged in distortion, deception and hiding from you the real causes. And thus, the reasons are still there for a repeat of what occurred.
So I shall talk to you about the story behind those events and shall tell you truthfully about the moments in which the decision was taken, for you to consider.
I say to you, Allah knows that it had never occurred to us to strike the towers. But after it became unbearable and we witnessed the oppression and tyranny of the American/Israeli coalition against our people in Palestine and Lebanon, it came to my mind.
Al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden addressed the "wise men" of the European Union in a new audio message late Wednesday, slamming the publication of drawings insulting to the Prophet Muhammad and vowing a strong reaction.
The message, which appeared on a militant Web site that has carried al-Qaida statements in the past and bore the logo of the extremist group's media wing al-Sahab, showed a still image of bin Laden aiming with an AK-47.
A voice believed to be bin Laden's described the attacks of the Europeans on women and children but said these "paled (in comparison) when you went overboard in your unbelief and freed yourselves of the etiquettes of dispute and fighting and went to the extent of publishing these insulting drawings, this is the greatest misfortune and the most dangerous."
