I'm inclined to agree with BlackOps. I can't see that being Osama, regardless of video blurring.

Wouldn't be surprised if the video was intentionally blurred to leave some plausible question regarding it's authenticity.

So, I wonder what the video will be like, considering it's to be titled "What you see, not what you hear"... maybe they will screw up the video the other way around this time... Mostly video, and next to no sound. lol.

Maybe they'll get Charlie Sheen to play Osama this time.

Apparently reuters updated the news article:

Bin Laden to release new message: monitor

The message is likely to be posted by Thursday or Friday at the latest, SITE senior analyst Adam Raisman said. He based his judgment on past practice and announcement language describing the message's posting as "urgent," "shortly" and "Allah willing."

He said the announcement did not carry the usual banner but rather was made in plain text. Based on recent practice, Raisman said he expects the upcoming message to include an audio track illustrated with an image.

The message apparently is the first by bin Laden since November 29 when he urged European countries to end military participation with U.S. forces in the Afghan conflict.

I would not be surprised if this "new" message is in fact several years old:

Proof Bin Laden Tape Is 5-Year-Old, Re-Released Footage

A videotape that was heralded as "new" footage of Osama bin Laden by many quarters of the press has been conclusively proven to be more than 5 year old re-released footage, leading to questions about why the government and the media continue to act as willing propagandists for the terrorists while striking fear into Americans by claiming an attack is inevitable.

I can't wait to hear what propaganda our government releases next

First of all,I believe Osama is dead or at the very least, gravely ill.
The guy in the posted video does not look like Osama at all.His skin is too dark, his nose is wider and flatter than Osama's AND he appears to be right handed. He gestures and drinks with his right hand.Osama is,or was, left handed.
I find it convenient that OBL always remembers America on anniversaries and holidays.
I can't see how anyone would think these videos are the real deal.
Edited for typos

I'm right handed but that doesn't mean my left is handicapped in any way. If my drink is on the left I'll sooner or later have to resort to using my left.

Heres the same right handed guy on 9/11.

Don't listen to what he has to say about 9/11, we all know he is lying and hes a fake anyways.

I'd say more than 70% of the United States populace believes Osama is still alive and these are legit videos.

This country is stupid. We are the most compliant, ignorant, and out of touch Nation on Earth. It truly is an embarrassment to live in this country. I wake up ashamed everyday, knowing the majority of people I will come in contact have the intellect of an eight year old.

God Damn America.

/end rant.

Bin Laden threatens grave punishment over cartoons

Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden threatened the European Union with grave punishment over the re-publication of cartoons of Islam's Prophet Mohammad that Muslims saw as offensive.

Bin Laden in an audio recording posted on the Internet said that the drawings which were published by Danish and other newspapers were part of a "crusade" in which the Catholic Pope was involved.

More propaganda to get the people scared. I find the crusade statement interesting as the Pope has recently denounced the Iraq war and asked for peace.

I wonder how much the CIA paid to have this video released?

Thats what Osama said about Americans.
www.worldpress.org...

Before I begin, I say to you that security is an indispensable pillar of human life and that free men do not forfeit their security, contrary to Bush's claim that we hate freedom.

If so, then let him explain to us why we don't strike for example - Sweden? And we know that freedom-haters don't possess defiant spirits like those of the 19 - may Allah have mercy on them.

No, we fight because we are free men who don't sleep under oppression. We want to restore freedom to our nation, just as you lay waste to our nation. So shall we lay waste to yours.

No one except a dumb thief plays with the security of others and then makes himself believe he will be secure. Whereas thinking people, when disaster strikes, make it their priority to look for its causes, in order to prevent it happening again.

But I am amazed at you. Even though we are in the fourth year after the events of September 11th, Bush is still engaged in distortion, deception and hiding from you the real causes. And thus, the reasons are still there for a repeat of what occurred.

So I shall talk to you about the story behind those events and shall tell you truthfully about the moments in which the decision was taken, for you to consider.

I say to you, Allah knows that it had never occurred to us to strike the towers. But after it became unbearable and we witnessed the oppression and tyranny of the American/Israeli coalition against our people in Palestine and Lebanon, it came to my mind.

Bin Laden Slams EU Over Prophet Cartoons

Al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden addressed the "wise men" of the European Union in a new audio message late Wednesday, slamming the publication of drawings insulting to the Prophet Muhammad and vowing a strong reaction.
The message, which appeared on a militant Web site that has carried al-Qaida statements in the past and bore the logo of the extremist group's media wing al-Sahab, showed a still image of bin Laden aiming with an AK-47.

A voice believed to be bin Laden's described the attacks of the Europeans on women and children but said these "paled (in comparison) when you went overboard in your unbelief and freed yourselves of the etiquettes of dispute and fighting and went to the extent of publishing these insulting drawings, this is the greatest misfortune and the most dangerous."

He doesn't sound like such a bad guy.

He wants freedom for his people and the right to not have foreign invaders take advantage of them.

That's completely reasonable.

I believe that is what Al Qaeda tend to portray Americans as Crusaders as a constant reminder for Muslims who remember the history between Christians and Muslims. What better way to do that when at war with Americans?

Bin LAden is a highly educated soldier who defeated the Soviet Union in Afghanistan and is now at war with the US. He is not a simple cave dwelling, hash smoking terror wanna a bae harrassing shopkeepers and raping the populace. He is a person who is listened to, respected and hated in his own community.

This is the best time for him to talk and in no way can it HELP the administration. That line of rhetoric needs to go.

Also, as far as calling the US populace dumb for believing, sorry, but he killed not only 3000 in one day, he also killed soldiers on the COLE and in enbassies with our citizens. This is for real. Sad part is that the same old line is used. I still think that it is all code.

It's not that his stated goals all sound unreasonable.

It's the whole "mass murder of innocent civilians" thing that really ticks people off.

Kinda reminds me of George Bush in that respect, actually

There's no real proof Bin Laden had anything to do with 911 or the bombing of the USS Cole.

Al Qaeda has been proven to be a false flag CIA operation designed to gain support for wars in the Middle East. The main motive? To secure oil fields and protect Israel.

I really hope nothing else happens. Terrorism is a scam by and large, a tool to control populations into giving away more freedoms for the sake of their safety.

Sorry, I don't buy it

Thanks for that last video deltaboy.Notice the difference between Osama and the stand in?
I've been proven wrong by making my "right hand" comment and you proved it well. Thanks for pointing it out.
I still think Osama is dead and the videos over the last few years are mix matches of different events, such as those taken from a documentary.I think that was three videos ago, could be wrong.
Why is America in Afghanistan? Are they finally getting around to tracking a dead man who did something 15 years ago?He isn't wanted for 9/11........oh,neither was Saddam Hussein.
It really bothers me when I have to read newspaper articles about your soldiers and mine dying for wars that have no justification in my eyes.
The Iraq war is a flat out illegal invasion regardless of whatever laws the decider put into place so he can sleep at night.
Sorry for the OT,I had to get it out.
I'll be waiting for this new video.Maybe they will thaw out Osama, put him against a dark backdrop and have Jim Henson style puppeteers manipulate him.
