Let me just add this. For a person that quotes scripture and verse from the King James version of the bible I find you lacking in charity, my friend.

I was raised on the King James Bible for 55+ years and have ministers in my family. So you can cut the self-righteous act right now.

Sorry, but i won't give you any further bother about your thoughts or thread.

Go in peace.

You are the first to name call = character judgement

I find you lacking in charity
?

What have I done? I provide some information that I have read in the Bible and you adopt a condescending righteous tone with me!

Perhaps you need to look at your own contribution and attitude here!

Thank you

The Spirit Realm IS a place. It's actually, many, many, many places. It's not abstract and it does have substance. It's also called Heaven but it's the same place. And yes, everything there was there before it was here. It's hidden from us, because it's in a different realm.

Pray on it. Ask Father to assist you in gaining a better understanding. That's the best advice that I can give you at this point.

Just for you ReginaA....this is how I see the Heavenly Realm; it is a Glorified Realm just as we, who are redeemed, will have a glorified body when the day of Salvation comes. We'll split the diff. about the time of the Trib, lol!

Peace!

Anywhere Father exists would indeed be a Glorified Realm.
(Ever consider that the word Glorified and Spiritual are actually interchangeable?)

Peace be with you as well!

I will not use the word assume in a gross way to prove a point because I view that as being un-friendly and a swear word.

Basic Communications Study: level one: The word 'assume' - simply break the word up and that is the end result. That, I posted in response to another member.

Obviously different wave length = misunderstanding.

I pointed out that that member had made some 'assumptions' about me and assumptions are not a good thing.

Question: how do you work your way through the Bible when a tough or contradictory verse is being read? Do you pray the Father to enlighten your faulty vision-of-mind, ie: reason, or do you willy-nilly listen to any disembodied voice that may choose to pipe in a comment or two?

Well, let me apply some Basic Deconstruction of your above para and lets see where possible misunderstandings may arise:

You started out asking a question but unfortunately, the use of 'your faulty vision of mind' and 'willy nilly' comes across very insulting and unfortunately, the entire paragraph is nothing more than a direct personal attack on me.

Good, get out of my thread if you cannot abide by the T&C!

If you wish to discuss this in a civil manner, then by all means, you are most welcome.

For the sake of peace I'll rephrase what I said in earlier sentences...but let me paraphrase since it would be a waste of time since the original sentences are posted for viewing already.

Not knowing you background OR age....which was asked by a poster....which, by the way would have helped those of us trying to respond in an appropriate manner...you didn't supply. That was the first of the misunderstandings. I apologize for that.

Secondly. when you broke down the proper usage of the word assume into it's slang connotation of ass-u-me then I know from experience that you are inferring the ass portion of the word assume and is meant to be understood by most people as an off-hand "fun" way of swearing without the blame. Sort of condoning a little white lie. I don't condone it nor do I apologize for that (comment).

Next, regarding the mention of discerning the spirits I was asking you a simple question. There was NO slant at saying you were reading the wrong bible. Or listening to anything other than your MIND OF REASON....which is NOT the way to approach true understanding of scripture. Thus, I was wanting to know by which authority you TEST the spirits. By this point I'm guessing you already know the difference between the spirits and how to know the difference between the Holy Spirit from the demonic.

But you didn't answer the question. So I was left wondering. I apologize for that.

I hope this settlers the matter for you. Sorry for whatever confusion that happened.

Peace

It is a tragedy then, that someone, after 55 years of studying the bible, judges others in a way that Jesus never would have. It is amazing how many Christians lose their way and accept arrogance, judgment and passive aggressiveness as an acceptable way of treating others.

Look at Revelation 21:16-17.
This is the dimensions of the actual new heaven that comes. It is as follows:
"He measured the city with the rod and found it to be 12,000 stadia in length, and as wide and high as it is long. He measured its wall and it was 144 cubits thick, by man's measurement, which the angel was using."

a stadia is about 1400 miles
a cubit is about 200 feet

so the walls are about 200 feet thick and The structure is about 1400 miles long, 1400 miles wide and 1400 miles deep.

You must be an autodidact to come up with any "planet" theory. I believe it is as described, and since it is made of - (from Revelation 21:18-21)

"The wall was made of jasper, and the city of pure gold, as pure as glass. The foundations of the city walls were decorated with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald, the fifth sardonyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst. The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate made of a single pearl. The great street of the city was of pure gold, like transparent glass.

How can this be a "Planet"?

sorry
Please note: the dimensions are of 12000 stadia and 144 cubits
correction!
but the converted dimensions in previous post are correct

My Bad again.
I guess that dimension is the Holy City coming down out of Heaven from God (Rev. 21:2), then, Heaven is a lot larger than that. But still...a Planet?

Read The Thiaoouba Prophecy. The Planet Thiaoouba is likened to be a veritable paradise, heaven as we would interpret it to be. The author is Michel Desmarquet. Thiaoouba is a Planet towards the center of the Milky Way. It is inhabited by a 9 ft tall hermaphrodite Aliens that inspired the bible.

...There is a reason we are told to laugh at the idea of Heaven etc.... because if we knew that our souls were immortal and that our behavior and thoughts decided whether or not we ascend to higher dimensions, we would behave completely different in society.

We wouldn't fear death, we would be careful how we act and what we do, etc. Obviously, it would be harder to control a world full of spiritually free beings, so people like Christ were murdered by the state for trying to teach people how to reach heaven, and how to live for the higher realms instead of the lower.

YES and I feel that this could be the reason why the terminology is not precise. It would certainly open a big can of worms.

Thank you, I believed Rev. 21:12 referred to the Holy City and not a Planet.

Ya know, I will better learn to discern between thoughtful, reflective and considerate Christians from those reactive, thin-skinned "shrillers" who see a wolf under every sheeps skin

I've made my apologies so it's all good wid me.

You all have a good life now...ya hear.

Well to be very honest with you, I feel so excited about this

Really! I woke up feeling a buzz in my body. It is so strange but the wording is all there, it is all there in the Bible and yet, we don't see it. Or I didn't until last night.

This proves that life on another Planet exists and it feels logical!!

I know exactly how you feel. The other night I got that same feeling in my body after having two dirty Sky martiniis and two gin & tonics...

The words heaven and heavens are used 718 times in Scripture.
They mean the air, clouds, sky, expanse, stars, and the planet on which God dwells.

The Planet Heaven (2 Cor. 12); Created before Earth (Gen 1:1; 2:1; Job 38; 4-7)

Heaven is a created planet like Earth (Gen 1:1; 2:1; Ps. 8:3)

Highest Planet (Eph. 1:21; 4-1; Heb. 7:26)

Congrats on posting this idea with so many supporting references.

Some years ago, when I finally realized that ETs had been visiting Earth & interacting with humans for millenia (I was initially reluctant to accept the evidence but could not ignore it in the end) it became evident that this explained a lot about the ancient world and the formation of religions.

The Abramic religions in particular, also Hinduism & the Chinese concept of the Tao, see the universe as an interaction between 'Heaven' and Earth. 'Heaven' is always 'upwards' towards the sky - the home of 'God' or the Gods. This is where the creator originates, the source of higher knowledge etc. 'Angels' etc. come 'down from above.'

What the hell is that about? Why not from below, from the Earth where life and growth begins? Would it not be more natural to see that the creator, God or whatever you want to call it, would be below, beneath, inside the Earth? Why the hell would it be seen as up in the sky???

If visitors from elsewhere came down from the sky, were seen as beings with superior knowledge, 'Gods', and went back to the sky, this explains everything. It's easy to see that they might teach humans that where they come from, there is eternal peace, higher knowledge, no disease etc. etc. - 'HEAVEN.' Up there. Another place, a specific place - up in the sky. You might go there when you die, and your soul migrates.

I really do believe this is the origin of the simplistic concept of 'heaven' and how it was written into the mainstream religions. Its origin is a place, probably a specific planet, known about in ancient times. No other explanation makes any sense.

The wonder is that the very idea of Heaven survives into the modern age, like as if the human spirit would be so pointless as to be incarnate only once.

MANY people have misinterpreted the scriptures and many more have been misled by those misinterpretations. Again, please accept my humblest apologies.

DAKE BIBLE, Inc. doesn't hold the copyright on Truth.

But apparently you do? Maybe your interpretation is wrong, and Drake Bible Inc's is right? Maybe, when you were praying the divine inspiration so you could intuit the truth of Scripture, the Devil played a trick on you, pretending to be divine inspiration, but actually just ever so slightly misleading you so that your interpretation always misses the true mark of the Bible's meaning? How would you know if what I'm saying were true or not?

Maybe the Heavenly City is a some kind of large space craft for transport between the two planets of Heaven and Earth?

To be intellectually honest, I'm not a Christian, but I believe you have a really interesting interpretation of your scriptures, and I'd like to discuss them.
