Psychics are sensative to the auras and energies of people, there needs to be a connection first. Once a connection is established, those energy patterns coem to be recognized, and read. Simple enough isnt it? Just becasue somethign is blown outta proportion on tv, doesnt mean that it has to be that way or it doesnt exist. It is made superficial to seem all the mre unlikely to people, thus holding them back. im sure by the time we are 40, we will be able to do alot more, considering that was the aprox. age people's abilities used to kick in, now it is apearing in the young more so than all others in history. There is a reason for this you know.

Everybody thinks as soon as you say things have happened to you that lead you to believe you might be psychic you can tell them the number they are thinking of or what school they went to when they were kids...

If I could do that at the drop of a hat all the time... then this thread wouldn't be called "I think I might be psychic", it would be... "Hey idiots, I am psychic come check it out and pay me money"! lol

First off, does a person know they are black or white if they are born blind and no one tells them what color they are? Will a person know their age if never informed of time? And on this web page, you use the words "i think" to avoid the conflict that is apparent in the earlier posts.
Now sparda, as to your question. The reason you are "psychic" is due to the fact that you can feel, and read energies. Remember, it is only 1/2 psychic, and 1/2 deduction. You can feel the type of energy, now you need to pinpoint, what is the source of that energy. (people can be sad, but there are different kinds of sad)
Now you willl find im sure, that when a person is upset and quite, or overly excited(people whos energies you have come to known are easier)
they are easier to read. This is due to the intensity of the energy. If someone farts once in a big room, you might smell a tinge of it. If someone has atrocious gas in that same room, you are going to gag from the reek of it(theoretically).
The same works for emotional energy. If they are just a little bugged, it will barely "smell", if they are letting out mad streams of emotion you will "gag" on the "smell".

If you're a psychic, go take Randi's test, get the $1m, give it to charity. Until you've taken a test, you're not a psychic, but an alleged psychic.

It seems from what's been written here, is we have a case of people selectively remembering their "psychic" successes, and forgetting their failures. That means you'll think you're psychic when you're really just a normal person who wants to be a psychic.

Science is a bit harder to fool than one's own imagination.

Dude... I don't want to be offensive, but... have you actually been paying attention? I am not saying I am psychic for one... for two, just like anything else you have to develope your ability if you have one like lifting weights to get stronger... If I could do those things, I would not have a post saying I think I might be psychic...

You may want to load up your video equipment and take it to the streets. The things you describe need to be captured on video and uploaded to youtube. So you should film yourself [does the word film still apply anymore?] walking up to people at random and striking up a conversation as you begin to pilfer there minds.

If you live in a big city you may even be able make some money out of it since street musicians are a dime a dozen.

Sorry, I haven't read all posts yet and I apologize if someone else has brought this up, but I would recommend doing a search for Marc/Mark Salem. He kinda does things you describe but I don't think he calls himself psychic because he bases his conclusions on his keen abilities to read the subtleties of people's body language.

I wish I was "better" at my "ability" and I would totally be doing that! I do plan to practice with it and get better and would have a ton of fun with it if I pull it off...

BTW... the last thing you said about reading other things like body language I am also interested in... I might subconsiously be doing that and just not know it?

I think there is more too it, because some of the things I know couldn't be picked up that way... but I could be wrong!

I've got a question for you.
Since you are able to know and find out things about certain people, does this mean you are also able to tell if they are lying through their teeth?

Yes... I am extremely good at poker because I ALWAYS know if they are holding a good hand or a bad hand... not necessarily what hand and only if we are playing with a good amount of money (at least to the person I am playing like 20-50 bucks is enough usually)... a lot of times I can actually tell them the exact hand they are holding!

I ALWAYS know if somebody is lying to me... (to my face) ask my ex girlfriends and even my current... (my current one is on ats...), the bolder the lie, the easier I can tell!

Honeslty when I do get a "feeling" or whatever you want to call it... 9.9 out of 10 times it is correct... the problem is... I can't "control" when I get these "feelings"

The part I do have control over is reading peoples emotions (ie: happy, sad, mad, etc...) this is how I know when they are lying... and usually if I tell them I am doing it, they try to hide it, and it is even easier... so if I am playing poker and I don't get a read, or I miss the read... I will make them talk, I will make them confirm or deny their hand... and I will instantly know... anybody who has played poker with me will agree! anybody who has lied to me, serious or not... will also agree!

Yes as his current g/f I can attest to the fact that in the past I've made some inappropriate choices and lied to him about it. It's not that he knew that I lied, but he knew exactly what I lied about. It was freaky. Same with the cards thing he ALWAYS beats me in poker even if I have a killer hand he'll call it. He'll be like you have 3 of a kind of say, Jack suit or higher and I always did. He was always right. lol kinda sucks, but at least I know never to lie to him again!!!

Now when people stop thinking that we are some kind of super humans, thats when they blow this outta proportion. This isnt somethign we can even control. And for any program kind of idea (lotto, contests) its more math than psychic. Does a computer put off a life aura? i think not. Therefore it cannot be read. And, body language is the same thing. Like i said, all people have the ability, just not the drive or belief. My kid could take the test, and be psychic 1/3 of the tries. Its all a load of crap to keep the populace amused. And as to the comment on video taping us at work...why? Because we feel that we have something to proove? I think not. All this post was was one of someone seeking confirmation. Now would confirmation from someone who is not psychic be enough? NO, i would think not. my wife has the same things and more to say about me. She has seen it all first hand. And actually will avoid the subject when spoken to about it. mainly because these things scare her. For, if she has to beleive in one of these things, then that means it is plausable that there are many more things going on (especially the ones that have to do with the psych). I am not very old yet, but i can get into anyone's head in person just as well as any psycholgist. And ive met a few others like myself, and some with more abilities. We exist, and there are more of us than ever these days. Also abilities coming to light earlier and earlier. if this isnt a sign of something, what is? Of course most deny these things, but its easy to see what is happening to the youths...go have your child a round at a video game....how many of you get ur butts kicked?When i was younger there were some gamers but not many...now ALOT of the youth population is playing vids.

"From a cynical point of view" one could say that the government knows something is going to happen this term..somethign they can blame on who is in power...now...whivh would the gov rather downsize, women, or african americans? we will see wont we.
