That's all well and good, but the ulterior motives to which I refer encompass the execution of vested power over the well-being, that is; freedom -life and death- over others not so blessed by the PTB.

And, IMHO, that's vile and sinister and against the good of mankind.

If there's a threat to us all, we should all be in the know, not just the chosen few.

I agree. Everyone under a threat should be informed of that threat ASAP.

As far as abuse of invested power, any individual that has been awarded a measure of authority also has the discretional ability to take unfair advantage of that power. In a reasonably mature society, there are individuals in authority/power. We have always been dependent on their own morality not to twist it to their own purposes.

As Heinlein wrote: In a mature society, civil servent is semantically equivalent to civil master.

The best we can hope for is to get a majority in those positions of authority that are decenr and just.

" If you are truly an " innocent " then how can this hurt you ?"

Well, an innocent person can suffer through interaction with an enforcement agency in two ways. The enforcement agency can act (properly as it understands the situation but) on the basis of incomplete or incorrect information. And, the enforcement agency can be acting an an improper way in order to further the institutional interest or that of some individual decisionmaker.
And it seems to me that unseen secretive poorly accountable distributed surveillant snitch tipster neighborhood witch lists may be somewhat more dangerous to the innocent than normal law enforcement with letterheads, listed phone numbers, agents on a payroll, and visible offices. That may just be bias on my part. I wonder if the Stasi in East Germany screwed over more innocent people statistically than the California Highway Patrol?

You have a point; but after most USA citizens had their noses rubbed in the fact that there were hundreds, maybe thousands of people in our country that were here primarily only to hurt us and kill us; ther were a lot of us that became "snitches"

The only people who can really understand what is really happening is the people at the bottom, the victims, and the people at the top, the perpetrators. Everyone else is compartmentalized throughout the spectrum of our society, and this includes the "cogs" within the government, security clearance or no.

The people at the top know what is happening, because they are the ones enslaving mankind.

The people who have fallen out of favor with the slavemasters find themselves out in the cold on the fringes of society, and seeing with stark clarity the horror of it all.

Wait, are you talking about McCarthy and the "Red-Threat?"

Or the trumped up, bogus, so-called "War on Terror?"

I scoff, bitterly, every time I hear it mentioned...

It's a chimera, you know, created to institute a fascist Imperial state where freedom once ruled.

I suppose now that the "slavemasters" have deemed me physically unemployable now; I'll just hang out here with the rest of the dregs and misfits.

Seems like pretty good company.

and is 9/11 included in this mix or not.

Have we really been duped since Truman?

If you are truly an "innocent", how can this hurt you.

I see and hear this chilling statement more and more. Funny thing is that as a kid, this was the prototypical Nazi and/or Communist quote that was ridiculed by Americans who valued their rights and a free society.

If you are innocent, why would you not agree to being searched?
If you are innocent, why would you not agree to being questioned?
If you are innocent, why would you not agree to being held for a few hours?

How about because you're innocent? Aside from the intrusion and obstruction of your own priorities, if you know you're innocent, there is only downside to letting someone else with power decide if they think you are. Either they are honorable, just, and infallible, meaning you are ok, or they are either:
1. Somewhere between slightly corrupt and corrupt
2. Less than perfectly stable and you offend them
3. Mistaken and you are perceived as guilty

People are not infallible nor always honorable. People and laws are not always just. The recognition of this truth led to American citizens' rights protecting against unreasonable searches and seizures (4th amendment) and incriminating themselves (5th amendment). It led to the Miranda ruling, which I believe no longer applies. It led to many of the citizen safeguards that have served us so well in the face of wars against evil tyrants and madmen. Somehow, we still won against those evils.

Was it the specific people we didn't personally know or their ways that we fought so hard to protect America against? So why, now, do we need to abandon what made our country so great in the first place? To be ruled by those who would have destroyed America before, just under a different name?

Flagged!
Great find DD!

This concerns me, what I take from it all is simply that the plans are in place and details are being worked out for the implementation of Martial Law. I also recall the story that came out a while back about the Preachers who have been told to tell their parishioners to give up their guns when (not if) Martial Law is declared.

It is become very obvious that the decision has already been made to declare Martial Law, now they are looking for the reason to do so. The only real question is when and how they will go about it. Will they fabricate their own crisis to make it happen?

I guess it will just give them a good reason to put those Daytona Beach resident's DNA samples to good use when they start rounding people up huh?

Talk about business merging with the government! This sounds like a group of blackshirts hitting the streets rounding up unwanteds and dissenters.

Shoot to kill orders if the infastructure they protect is threatened? Thats pretty vuage, who determines what a threat is? How will these incidents be investigated? Or better yet, WILL they be investigated?

the answer is simple my friends, just stop paying your taxes!

thats where all these corrupt complexes get thier funding from,if enough people stop paying taxes they go bankrupt and collapse.

they are in the palm of your hand and you dont realise it,you have the power, just do it,spread the word and stop paying taxes!!

One thing to consider also, our corporate ridden and corrupted government is no only protecting this big corprations but you all should know that most of them are now an will be owned by foreign interest because the way our nations ecnomy works.

So do not even dream that these entities are all owned by Americans, so who is been protected really in this groups. . . . .

It amazes me that people are willing to give up rights that have proven their value over more than 200 years of our country's history for the broken and flawed "programs" of George W. Bush.

He's screwed up everything else, so why should we trust him to rewrite our constitution to "protect" us?

It's pretty obvious to me that the only "protecting" is for the guys at the top, and we the people will get screwed.

History has proven the value of the rights granted to us in the Constitution. WHY, oh WHY are people so willing to give it up in the worship of George W. Bush?

“Naturally the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.”

Thanks for the thoughtful reply. Let me be more specific, I meant if you are innocent of trying to hack into and damage the IT of a banking or finance business; or innocent of attempting to damage the water, electric, food, etc.. supplied by those entities; how is it that expecting these businesses to protect these goods and services can cause harm to you.

I assume that unless you produce your own electricity and provide your own communication network, you contract with the businesses that produce them to deliver them.

Do you not also expect these providers to protect their ability to continue to fulfill your request to deliver them?

The personal right to expect to receive what you have paid for and depend on for your lifestyle is coupled with the right of those whom you expect to provide these services to protect your ability to get them.

It is not a one way street. Either you rely on some group to cooperate in assisting you to maintain your level of civilization, or you choose to give it all up and be content with a completely self supporting anarchistic lifestyle.

I'm considering a hunter/gatherer level for myself.

So what if I don't subscribe to their telephone, cable, water or electric? What if I do live a rather independent lifestyle? Raise my own food? Provide my own water? Homeschool my own children? Shoot my own guns? Oops I forgot I'm a danger to society because I don't follow the status quo.

The bigger question is what are they doing this FOR?

It sounds as if they're recruiting troops to help keep the peace in the midst of martial law. That gives me the creeps.

What is the government's end game in all this? I doubt it's about terrorism since the spying goes way beyond what's needed to fight terrorism.

Because our military is so overextended in the middle east that *when* (their words) martial law is declared they won't have enough troops to police the police state here at home.

Things like this make me want to run through the streets screaming at the top of my lungs.

These bastards really want a civil war don't they? Blackwater types with shoot to kill curfew orders on American soil.

Either hire real agents, or get out of the game. This "Deputizing" is unconstitutional bull malarkey.

To any FBI Agents reading this: "No offense, but you are getting played by your commanders. I am all for Chain of Command, but at some point you need to actually act like an American Patriot with an understanding of our rights as citizens. I don't buy the 'Protecting America' propaganda anymore, and I am not alone, you need to wake up."

That being said...
