The ruler who will come” is the Antichrist which is confirmed in Daniel 9:27. Daniel identifies the leader who will come this way.

“He will confirm a covenant with many for one 'seven.' In the middle of the 'seven' he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing of the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him"

Maybe Daniel meant to say " And on a wing of the temple he will set up an Obama nation that causes desolation

Sorry, I just couldn't resist the play on words. I'll slap myself on the wrist now, and do my penance.

First of all, the book of Daniel layed out some pretty descriptive characteristics of the anti-Christ. He will be a man of Fierce countenance. What this means is that he will have an Angry appearance. That's not Obama.

Secondly, the anti-Chist will be Without Regard for women. This implies that the anti-Christ will be celibate. Obama is married, unless it's just a cover.

Thirdly, the anti-Christ will be of extreme intelligence. He will have the answers, ones that, at least ofr a time, actually work. While I think that Obama is intelligent, I don't think he is the mega brain that the anti-Chist will be.

In short, I don't think Obama is the anti-Christ, nor is anyone else who is currently receiving media attention. The true anti-Christ is biding his time.

I agree with your statements and now that he is the president other christians will come to see as well. My mother is the first person that proposed this theory to me and I told her I felt the same way. If people would just read the book of revelations they would see the truth, but it is unfortunate that satan has them blinded from the truth. My prayers go out to them, so their eyes may be opened before it's too late.

The beast is not a single figure, not "the antichrist". The beast in Revelations is a kingdom, having 10 horns, meaning 10 kings as shown above.]

Show me where it says it is the beast who does the lying wonders. That prophecy is concerning the son of perdition. The miracles and great things against god etc is the false prophet, notice it says that a mouth is given to the beast, talking of the false prophet...

5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

And before you say "Look it says HIM!", the word translated as "HIM" is once again autos, meaning him, her, them, it, namely the beast.

And a whole country will be wounded and rise again and then speak great things do miracles etc ? How would a whole country do that ? See how that sounds ?

You are mixing prophecies. The wounded head is about the beast, the speaking great things and miracles is about the false prophet. The beast has seven heads, this is talking about seven revivals of this kingdom over time, it is talking of the Holy Roman Empire. As I mentioned above, the talking and miracles etc is done by the mouthpiece of the beast, and yes a country can be wounded and be healed, look at Japan or Germany.

Ok now read this and NOTICE it says MAN >>.(The verses above it are talking about Lucifers fall from heaven)>

Once again you are mixing prophecies. This is about the king of Babylon, not "the antichrist"

Dan 7:17 These great beasts, which are four, [are] four kings, [which] shall arise out of the earth.

Dan 7:23 Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.

Prophetically the term kings or kingdoms is interchangeable, as you just demonstrated above. It is talking of four kingdoms.

Dan 7:24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom [are] ten kings [that] shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.

Yes but the 10 kings are ten horns of the same beast, so again, the beast is not a single person. As for the "HE", read this verse in it's original Hebrew and tell me if the word HE is used.

I am confused by the OP. He was born a muslim? How is anyone born a religion? Do you remember how strong your faith was in your inborn religion when you were a day old?

Anyway, how do you get to be both Muslim and the anti-christ?

You may think ill of Muslims, but that does not make them matching in description by even your book does it?

Contradicting yourself in the OP is a good way to kill this idea before it gets started.

You summarized fairly well. One of the things that you forgot to mention is that the "anti-Christ" will have a particular physical characteristic. He will be a "king with a fierce countenance." This essentially means that he will be of an angry appearance. The "anti-Christ," contrary to popular belief, is not going to be some "charismatic," smiling ass.

Relax there abdul ....I believe the reason why so many believe this is because Islamic peoples are looking for their Mahdi to return ...Christians are expecting an AntiChrist to come .New Agers are expecting their Mytria to come ...Aliens are expected to show sometime too .......etc etc etc .....

So since Obama is a mixture of all religions (read snopes) he is suspected of being one of the above or possibly all of the above ...or none of the above ..lol .. ......that does not mean that he is any of the above ..it just means he is worth watching to see what happens ...

I wonder if the doubters would like to take the opposing argument... Prove Obama ISNT the antichrist. He seems quite inflated by rhetoric (much like HItler..who sparked the same messianic adoration Obama does) which DOES not match up to the facts....
#1 "Martin LUther King analogies.. Obama IS NOT ANYTHING like Mrtin Luther King, and its insulting to even make that comparison. King took beatings, walked miles..and was truly inspirational. Obama wrote his own narrative, and this is what people believe of him. BIG DIFFERENCE.
#2. The social change, wealth redistributer....Have you seen his house latley? Amazing people believe this one. All you have to do is look at his life and follow the money and teh power...and here he is President elect..
#3. WHat I find most disturbing is teh complete lack of CRITICAL analysis this guy has gone through. This is how people elect tyrants and support tyranical activities.. Remember WMDs?

Here is a small observation I have made about Obama's new chief of staff...Rahm Emanuel... Twist the letters of his first name and you get Harm. Emanual is a contraction of Emmanual which means "God is with us" or " Messiah" or "god" himself. Harm God? Hmmmmmm

This man did and still does give me some major creeps. I swore I wasnt going to vote, and then at the last minute I changed my mind and cast my vote for him only because of the shape the economy is in. But with that being said, I've seen pictures of Obama where he is in very deep thought and his face can look pretty darn stern. And as far as not having no regard for women? What about all the people who supported H. Clinton? She had a huge following of women and many people held out for what was being labeled as the 'dream ticket.'

Yesterday, CNN was running a story on him (one of many) and it was about kids that had made up a song and rapped it on youtube - CNN made the title for their story "Out of the Mouths of Babes." You would think they would want to at least make an effort to back away from all the 'hes the one' claims that the Republicans brought up - but noooooooo. Lol

Anyways just a girls point of view.

Christian don't be deceived, because Obama easily fits this profile. He is espousing a political rebellion against the so called established order and leading God's children in open rebellion against Him. He does this by leading the world to put their trust in him or his new world religion to solve all their problems and meet their needs instead of trusting in God alone and His providential care. Obama openly nullifies the law of God by sanctioning same sex relationships and partial birth abortion – deserving the title “Man of Lawlessness.” Christian don’t be dismayed that the Republican party lost the election. Indeed it was easy to be fooled by the Republican Party and the audacity of talk radio claiming to be on the side of Christianity by rejecting homosexual unions and the freedom of choice. Clearly they only courted the Christian vote to further their own evil agenda of excessive greed and lust for power. Stop trusting in Obama or the Republican Party to bring about change. Real change is only possible through the transforming power of the Gospel which brings true healing to the whole man and his community.

If you have not done so already, let me encourage you to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Trust God to solve your problems and meet all of your needs. Then join me in spreading the word to flee Vanity Fair before it's too late. Reach out to your fellow Christian and tell them to stop trusting in Government and the one who has come to lead the world astray. Challenge them to repent of their wickedness and turn back to Jesus Christ as the true Author of change.

My question is, if he indeed is the antichrist, would it have mattered if we voted anyway? Isn't this something that is supposed to happen? Lol. Let me just say I totally disagree with you and think most people are so afraid that's he's gonna succeed where most have failed that people are conjuring up ridiculous stories to scare others. Funny thing is, with all the damaged Bush did to this country, I've never read any of the things that are being said about Obama said about him. I think it's more of a racial prejudice thing.

This post is outrageous. You WANT someone to be the anti-Christ because you desire the end of days so that there can be a vindication of narrow belief systems. Anyone who seeks unification is an enemy to you. Your belief systems are based on an "us vs. them" mentality. Barack Obama says that out of the many, we are one. This philosophy is directly opposed to the us vs. them mentality. That mentality survives on the basis of division instead of unification. The entire idea of the anti-christ is an illusion. It only exists because in your world of duality there has to be a good and a bad, a right and a wrong. If there is Christ, there has to be an anti-Christ. If there is a good God, then there has to be an evil God. The entire belief system is only sustained by creating opposites even when opposites do not exist. Oprah is also called the anti-Christ because she is popular and preaches unification. In your view, Ghandi should also have been called the anti-Christ. Also according to the view of fundamentalists, who started this absurd idea, it was God's will to have George Bush as the President. How do you reconcile that God wanted the US to have the worst President in history? Does God want to punish us? Is that God's will? Maybe we should all evolve beyond the childhood notion of God as a punishing father who is vengeful and cruel. This kindergarten image of God creates a God that is actually molded in a human image and not a very evolved human figure.. I feel compassion for any person who needs this narrow definition of God and I pray that you can outgrow these childhood images that might have been necessary when mankind was tribal but is completely inappropriate now. The Bible was written 2000 years ago. If the message cannot evolve as humankind evolves, it will just become an outdated book (which many use as a weapon instead of a spiritual guide)..
