Good points. I agree to a certain extent that we are controlled by subconscious and maybe even subversive forces, but by no means are we controlled
fully by them. Just by the fact that we are discussing them, means that we are aware of SOME of them. And I sure hope that we are not such mindless
drones, brain-washed in society, that we cannot but love someone because something or someone triggered it subconsciously inside us.
Love is brought about by similar interests, beliefs, and desires for life. These qualities are influenced subconsciously or by others on a very
conscious level. Personal tastes are usually not individualistic in nature, but more likely being derived from what society has shoved at them, in
opposition or in agreement.
So one might conclude that love occurs between two people, and society or other subconscious signals have brought these two together in a unity that
might have seemed inevitable.
But is that all that is going on? If so, you might as well conjure spells on people to make them love you, because that is what the world is doing to
them already.
In the end, we are all responsible for our actions, good or bad. I would love to think I am not that fully controlled by my external world that I
cannot be sure whether or not I really do love someone wholeheartedly, on my own.
