Magic - making someone love you???

First off, i've never tried any forms of magic or anything, i'm just a bit curious. Also, this isn't something i'm planning to do, i've just always wondered if it was possible.

Is there some potion or spell or ritual or something to make someone love you? or is it just a really bad idea

apologies if i come across as ignorant but, like i said, i don't have any experience in this

Well... how would you define a spell? There are numerous spells in numerous books, with as many ways to accomplish the same thing... finding what fits you and your style / beliefs is what is essential, because trying to do something that doesn't feel quite right isn't going to work.

I know I've read a few different 'love spells', but the only one that readily pops to mind is the one from the Simon version of the Necronomicon... I think I may have read one in a book based on Egyptian magic as well.

But honestly? If you are to perform a spell, you really have to consider doing something that feels right. If something doesn't make sense, or if you wonder why something is being done, or how it is being done, it won't work. Consider making your own spell... if you are confident enough in your knowledge.

Also... love spells never work. You can never make someone love you against their will. They have to want to love you, the possibility of love has to be there... if it isn't, it isn't love. It's just an emptiness that you'd wish was gone.

I have had a few years of experience in the Occult and from what I have learned, Love spells don't typically work. You may see SOME results such as the person may flirt with you or may seem to be more interested in you. But as far as making the person fall in "Love" with you, it's not possible. That would interfere with free will. And the bible even says that GOD himself cannot do that. So humans surely cant

There is a spell. It's called hormons. Men and females have their own and they release it all the time, especially when flirting. The chemistry happens and WHAM! We have a couple!

That should do it.

Here is a magic spell to make someone love you.

There is quite a bit of difficult preparation. The actual spell is easy.

Here is the preparation part:

#1. Take a sincere interest in the object of your affection. Squeeze out all selfish motives from your own being.

#2. Unburden the object of your affection from any sort of obligation to love you back. (Don't be needy -- it can, and eventually will, kill love.)

#3. Prepare yourself to be unrelenting and brutal in your honesty. You cannot find love through lies.

Now the spell:

#1. Look the target of your affection directly and unflinching in the eye, and smile naturally.

#2. Maintain eye contact for several seconds.

#3. Say the following words to them, in a calm, confident, quiet voice: "You are extremely beautiful to me."

BTW, you can probably just skip the preparation, and perform the spell. It is a bit of a hit and miss proposition without the preparation part, but it might be an easy way to pick up sexual partners, if that is what you are really after.

If you follow the above steps, I think you will find it works. Love is a mind killing game, so you may find the preparation to be out-of-range for your current situation.

Why would you want to force somebody to love you? Are you hideous and unlovable? If you look around at all the awful, ugly, stupid losers in the world who have found mates, it's not hard to believe that if you just broaden the scope of your search (and maybe lower your standards a little), there is somebody out there for everybody.

Otherwise, pay for it.

As the name implies I am a witch ... have been for about 20yrs. The biggest no ... no in spells is to interfere with the freewill of another.It can (correction), 'WILL' cause all kinds of problems ... if not straight away then certainly down the line ... even if they appear to produce the desired effect initially.

As 'nohup' said ... why would you want to make someone 'feel' that they love you ... it would never be the real thing unless the person in question loved you from their own desire, without interference from you.

If you knew the person liked you but was too shy to do anything about it that's a different matter ... giving a helping hand in that case is fine and usually to good effect ... otherwise ... don't do it ... I'm not trying to freak you out ... but you will regret it one way or another !!! It's just not a cool thing to do.

Imagine if the shoe were on the other foot ... would you like to think someone who fancied you was using magick to draw you to them ... when under normal circumstances you wouldn't be interested ?

The witches lore should be held to fast, in all matters of magick ...

Just wanted to echo some of the sentiments in this thread...

Personally, it is highly unethical to use magic to make someone love you. Interfering with another's free will has all kinds of karmic (bad) implications.

For the original poster, just be yourself, put your best foot forward and let the chips fall where they may. If it still doesn't work out, then take it as a sign that it is not meant to be. Good luck!

God can do it. Any beings on a higher level of mental evolution can control others lower than them IMHO.

As for using magic to make someone love you. You can do it to a lesser degree. You can make someone lust after you. But it's still up to them if they'll end up loving you after. Love is letting others be and letting them express themselves in their own unique way. Not imposing on their will.

I do not know about you, but I, for one, would hate knowing that any being, supreme or not, would be forcing me, with or without knowledge, into a love relationship. I'm not even talking about free will or even destiny here, just the utter intimacy of real love being tampered with.

And I agree with woodwytch, even though it is not harmful per se, it's still forced will on another individual. When one goes down that road, it never has good consequences, magickal or not.

Question: Is it in your conscious control who you fall in love with? If not, then you are definitely being influenced by something. As we all are 24/7.

IMO falling for someone is virtually always an unconscious process, which is influenced by factors other than yourself.

Woodwytch has it right, it's one of the worst things you can do, is force someone to do something against their will. It's very bad Karma.

You can, however, do a spell to urge the one you're meant to be with to find you.

Good points. I agree to a certain extent that we are controlled by subconscious and maybe even subversive forces, but by no means are we controlled fully by them. Just by the fact that we are discussing them, means that we are aware of SOME of them. And I sure hope that we are not such mindless drones, brain-washed in society, that we cannot but love someone because something or someone triggered it subconsciously inside us.

Love is brought about by similar interests, beliefs, and desires for life. These qualities are influenced subconsciously or by others on a very conscious level. Personal tastes are usually not individualistic in nature, but more likely being derived from what society has shoved at them, in opposition or in agreement.

So one might conclude that love occurs between two people, and society or other subconscious signals have brought these two together in a unity that might have seemed inevitable.

But is that all that is going on? If so, you might as well conjure spells on people to make them love you, because that is what the world is doing to them already.

In the end, we are all responsible for our actions, good or bad. I would love to think I am not that fully controlled by my external world that I cannot be sure whether or not I really do love someone wholeheartedly, on my own.

...on another level its called sorcery which is really manipulation.

On yet another level, what is love?
Love is acceptance of the other person without any requirement put on them in how they should respond, act, or feel.

so - do you want to make someone love you?
If love is how I defined it, then the action of making someone do something is not love.
Law of attraction. If your not showing love, you probably wont get love.

Love and infatuation are two totally different things.

True love, most do not even know what it is.
Some have a faint idea but still heed to the collective call of what 'love' is, and get the dysfunction that goes with what is called love but is really 'ego's wanting....

You can manipulate peoples wills, but again, love is a free choice.
Only you can love. Someone else can only make the conscious choice to love as well.
This is the one thing that cant be manipulated as its beyond the egos story.

dont know about laws of 3. It is true that sorcery is the mastery of manipulation and getting away with it.
The fact is, if done right, the person gives away what it is the sorcerer wants.
The universe is here to teach us - if you have love (true love) this is something sorcerery cannot touch.

I realize that my perspective and choice of words may not be understood the way that I would like it to be understood. Words are limited, so when you play with words that already have strong associations attached to them - as to what people think they mean, then it can be hard getting a point interpreted correctly through another 'grid' system.

Were a bunch of computers after all...
