Hi Mike: You're a great researcher, I'm so sorry your work was plagiarized. As a writer and researcher as well, I can understand how you must feel.
IMO, if your work is copyrighted under ATS, I do believe that the admins MUST get involved in this and take care of this (if they are going to protect their copyright, which they seem very concerned about) rather than you. If you had your work copyrighted, it would be up to you, but since it's under ATS, they will be the ones that have to respond to this. At least, that's how I believe it works.
Just tried going to the site and it says "error on page" and won't load the page". Also tried just going to iirobotics.com and it did the same thing. I wonder if this is their way of not letting people see the plagiarism?
There is alot of plagiarism on the net; unfortunatey, I've known of a number of friends that have had their work stolen on the net.

Or we could try just flooding them with email at [email protected].
I wonder if that's even a legitimate address.

I've flagged this thread too (about an hour ago) and just to say i'm disgusted someone could be so low on the intelligence scale as to not realise they have screwed up royally by nicking you stuff. i'm adding to the thread now because others seem to want to let you know they've flagged the thread in support and to make myself known to you on the periphery to say even though i normally never reply to posts you make, i do very much appreciate your work. i only don't reply because, like this post, i have little of worth to add. no one really knows me here because i'm lowly lurker.

keep on keeping on and i look forward to finding out how this guy is taken down a peg or two for stealing.

it's not just ATS he's robbing from either...

this is his report...
www.iirobotics.com...

copied directly from this report
news.bbc.co.uk...

Wonder if the BBC will be happy about that?

as far as these picture go, I'm sure somebody posted them up in ATS a while back
www.iirobotics.com.../

It would appear that this article came from CNN
www.iirobotics.com...
seeing as they both have the same title, but for some reason I cant load the full CNN story.
edition.cnn.com...

Now he's really playing with the big boys.

And his alien moon base;

is copied from this source;

You can email us at [email protected]

Gimme an intro on iiRobotics.com!
iiRobotics, the concept, came about over the Christmas period 2001. It took us time to get adequate investment to guarantee a shop in the ideally located fashionable and specialist St. Mary's Street, just off the touristy Old Town's Royal Mile in Edinburgh, Scotland. We opened the shop, the first shop in UK totally dedicated to ROBOTS and robotic 'toys' in June 2002.

iiRobotics has serveda fantastic number of clients in government research, academia and the general public as well as enterprises spanning five continents and a spectrum of industries. We welcome every project for its challenges, but more so for the opportunity to demonstrate to a new market or trade how robots can assist them in whatever they do!

and maybe contacting some of their so called business friends might help you get some info about them. They have quite an impressive list of business friends... see here;
www.iirobotics.com...

The ESA, Honda and Sony to name but a few...

I read the whole thread before checking their site.

I couldn't believe the blatant way he left it as you wrote it, not one adaptation, not that it would make it any less illegal. Busted!

Good work Skeptic, that's all happened pretty quickly imo.

Alot of support here for your work mike, it's proof of your constant searching that you caught them out at all! Nice one

I reckon at the end of the day, the last couple of hours on this thread have proved one thing, an awesome thing really...

The majority of us here on ATS are crew

Sure we agree to disagree on stuff, and down right disagree in sometimes spiteful nasty ways on other stuff

BUT....

At the end of the day, if we find a bro or sis being ripped or dis somewhere else on the Net, we act....And fast !!!

And we deal with it...

That's one of the amazing things about this place...Where else on the net would Mike have got such a response from his mates apart from here ?

All the more reason to treasure and love this place, the people who populate it and the way it works...

Sure sometimes people might not like what is said and done here, but largely, this place is as close to Thomas Moore's Utopia on the net you are likely to find...

Peace and always remember what this place is about folks...

The info@ account is non-functioning. So I posted this to their message board.

While I would understand your ire, please, let's not have any other ATS members joining and raising a fuss. Let's be "Above" everyone else.

Just went to check on your thread, Mike, and instead, on that page, what came up was SO's post about plagiarism. I didn't find your thread on there, so he must have taken it down. This guy knows exactly what he's doing. A class action lawsuit could be formed between CNN, BBC, ATS and who knows who else this guy has plagiarized? I'm not advocating for lawsuit, just saying. That tells you how serious the infringement is.
Freakin' lowlife thief.

My last post for the night/morn...

For sure, we leave this in your hands now....

And I'm sure you will get a great outcome for the OP in this case...

Much respect for what you do

Peace

Odd, FL, I just went to the site and Mike's article is still there.

But I bet it won't be for long ...

Hi MM: All I get on the link that Mike gave was a list of forum topics; the only one I found about Mike's post was SO's, asking them to remove the thread.
Can you tell me where on the page you found Mike's thread? Not doubting you, just confused. Thanks.

The plagerised post is still there as of now. here is the active link: www.iirobotics.com.../

Interesting. edited to add i can't seen to get the link to post here correctly, but i assure everyone i still have the page with the plagerised post up and refreshing it shows it still to be active. don't know why i can't reproduce it here. but it's a good indication as to why i post rarely because it would appear i've never been compatable with whatever software runs this site as i can't do outside source quotation and now not links.

back to lurker mode for me!

Weird. I'm still seeing it.

Go to the main page then halfway down, below the 12/07 moon article, are six thumbnails. Mike's article is the second one in the first column.

I was just there and it's still up.

I'll go in and try F5 to see what happens.
