It appears that you like so many others have no idea what the demons are. Only very imaginationful person can actually see them, and because the thousands of years of accustomation in specific demonological tradition, their visions are alike: horrible beasts with only remotely humane appearance. They are not real, yet they are very real. I guess one could say that they are astral-beings, which can be manifested in this level also, although they cannot physically appear as they have no bodily form like we do.

Practical example: Image the nazi ideology being a great demon. Then image hitler being a great black sorcerer that evokes the demon to gain its power, and furthermore notice how it consumed him in the end, yet this demon is still at large in the world.

So, the bible is highly analogical and metaphorical. Do not take it literally, or you might end up eating poo, literally.

Oh. My. God. STM, your "Walk with an Angel" thread is priceless. I've had a lot of very uplifting experiences as well, but also many encounters with the "Dark Side," as I call it. I sent you a U2U with a personal question... I hope you'll have some kind of answer for me. If not, maybe you can ask Tom.

Here's a theory.. Satan doesn't want you to know he exists because you would probably turn to God. God doesn't want you to know he exists because there is no test of your faith, plus imagine how terrible life would be if we knew for sure he could always see us and was judging our every move.

The bible isn't necessarily a lie. The bible is more (in my opinion) of a historical document. It gives details on mans life, but some of these details have been exaggerated and some left out for political reasons. For instance scientists think they may have found where the garden of eden was ( there are coordinates in Genesis). But now on to the subject of demons. Demons come in many forms and are patient and just because you don't believe in something does not mean its not real. I mean I can't see air so I can go on about how I do not believe it exist, but that doesn't mean it isn't all around me all the time.

Many people who turn to faith are aware of sudden battles with the enemy so to speak, in whatever form it comes, in many different faiths. Everyone in my family, my inlaw's family, and all of my friends have spoken of spiritual moments, and they're not all traditional in their beliefs. But I'm getting this feeling that the reason you want to turn towards asking for forgiveness and faith of some sort is really because you want proof. First, I agree with the posters who said, why would anything negative show up when you've already given yourself. But you can simply ask God to forgive you, however you perceive God. Battles may or may not occur for you. I know for everyone who's had their moments, they didn't want to experience this presence. So it really sounds like you're an athiest looking for proof. A simple way to embrace your own spirituality without any faith is to meditate and study different ways to meditate and think about offering peace and light, your own peace and light to the world, you don't need religion to do it.

How come you have tried so hard to contact the evil side of the christian faith but you havent even bothered with the actual God side?
I think if you actually tried contacting God rather then the devil you will actually feel something and realise he is there.
What i believe has happened to you is that the devil has you, he has already taken possession and the reason he isnt showing himself or doing anything is because he doesnt need to, he already has you.
God is Calling out and you are ignoring it because Satan and his demons are with you blocking it out, they are not going to come out and be like "hey there, we are stopping you from talking to god" coz you would end up with god.
Talk to God.

The subject of the paranormal is riddled with bull#. The bible has been misinterpreted in my opinion. These clowns that think they understand ancient Armaic don't know what the bible really says and what if the bible was written symbolically?

Lots of people claim that books start flying around the room when they do seances and stuff like that. If that kinda crap happens why not get a video camera and record it and show people real proof of the paranormal? Because they're talking through they're holes books don't start flying around the room by themselves.

I've found some videos that look pretty crazy on youtube where the camera man sounds scared #less and doors are slamming and things flying around the room but they all have "STBIRGITTS.COM" or something written on them, don't have a description and have the comments disabled which all indicate bull#.

I'm still too superstitious to go playing with ouija boards just in case it does work and I accidentally let in some sorta demon that I'm stuck with for life but I have a feeling that it is complete and utter bull#. Years ago my sisters friend had a ouija board and she brought it over and showed it to me and my friend (we were about 12) and all 3 of us sat around and tried to do it and nothing happened. She said you can't laugh and you have to be serious about it. Why would some demon thats looking for souls to possess care if you take it seriously or not? Is the demon embarrassed or something? Makes no sense to me.

EDIT: NetThor I think most people would tell you thats the placebo effect your feeling. Of course your gonna feel something if you believe it. I'm not saying the placebo effect isn't effective though. What I'm saying is that the power is internal not external. They even say in the bible the kingdom of God is within. Our minds are alot more powerful than we believe.

well.. every try giving your soul to God? But you see, both side require deep sacriface.....you only have to give them your life... but, I personally know of someone that fleeced Satan and a voice out loud in the room came back and said..

One the demon side....ever physically see a demon cast out or see someone with a demon move like a snake across a floor... I have! Ever wounder why the media doesn't do more investigating on this subject and make it a 'reality' show?? The problem with TV is everything is reality but casting out demons..

I went to a convention center in Seattle WA 20 years ago with the local media there to film a preacher casting out demons from people upon request or thought that they have had demons and to have it recorded on camera to ensure the people weren't being harmed and a doctor was standing by as well.

Right as we got there, one media journalist came out of a room that was white as a ghost, his camera at his side and kept saying with tears in his eyes saying "I can't watch that any more..and I certainly am not going to publish it." 30 mins later, word came down that the media was prohibited from filming, reporting or publish the event and it was closed down in an hour. This was not a public event, it was by invitation only and we were there as a guest of the preacher but still, we not allowed in the room which could hold 300 ppl.

Most were teenagers that came out, most were weeping and hugging they parent(s)


but, you know.. this cold just be a story I made up...but I sincerely HOPE you do NOT believe it is...it was real as the air we breath... I was there..

I would say you pose more of a threat to the Devil if he had responded.

The way you framed your title implies that if the Devil did respond, you might find credibility in the Bible.

I believe the Bible is all dung #. The suppose to be holy god exist, while innocent child souls are born into a planet filled with hell and so much evil.

If I was a God, I would not even allow evil to exist in my universe.

That makes more sense of being a good God to me.

Wow!!!! What a post. You will regret for the rest of your life if you successfully ever summons a demon and I would bet you a million bucks cash that they are just as real as the Bible portrays them.

Speaking from experience, they each have uniquer personalities, smells, behaviors and so on. One thing in common .....they all stink, rotten flesh, feces, piss, old blood, garbage heaps, and so on.

You are on the verge of your worst nightmare, and its only cause your ego thinks it can handle these realities. You'll be in for a surprise soon enough

i hate to be the one...there are demons!!! i have them and they are mean and they lie and through lies and manipulating your feelings they waste your life like it is trivial...how did i come out with demons? its simple, i believe in God beyond all people i will ever know i believe in God...my faith is simple, God created the earth beneath my feet the air in my lungs and the essential water that i use for so many things.he created these things once but he created them to last until the very last human that is ever to exist.the Devil on the other hand causes what? the odd(not worl-wide) disaster or he picks on someone(one not every human ever)...so i see God and so i see Lucifer(the morning star also the fallen angel) God does things on a huge scale wide spread effecting all humans and the Devil does things in small odd occasions effecting the immediate surroundings not every human.because of the easy way this makes religion appear and it makes it so simple to hold even if you feel tested or ridiculed and should let go of such beliefs it is just way to simple a belief to be so easily taken from you...and that is why i now have demons.my faith in the world around me and God or his work is so easy to hold these demons have come to my life to bring my faith apart from me or to cause my life to be lived miserably...i have a few demons, the boy one is Neil the first one a girl was nicknamed cinderella but later chose one of my favorite names Chloe next in line is Laura who now likes the name Sandra H and the most recent one Jill...i talk with them i argue with them i laugh and i cry with them.but mostly i notice that my days are going by empty without the love i have sought for years(i am the original 45 year old virgin) and never had.yes these demons are sometimes actualy fun.but mainly all things considered they are seeing to it that my life ends lonely.i am a dialysis patient in Hanna Alberta Canada.i have had these demons not all at once but as each one came since March 2008 but before that i had the first girl demon Cinderella(Chloe) in 1995 or 96 at which time i thought i was going insane hearing voices and not being able to get rid of them.i saw a shrink and took medication which at first silenced them so i quit taking it figuring my life had returned to normal.more than 5 years later just as i had realised my freedom to choose what i have to do and what i don't have to do she reappeared...now even as i write this for you i must deal with them...it is my belief that like anything they can change and so i struggle to make them understand that they can decide to be what they want.i am having limited luck.i wondered what powers they have so i asked.they are influential they join me in seeing my dreams and can actualy help me to do something i could never do.i can participate with my dreams when they are here with me.before i would be immediately awakened the moment i tried to participate in my dreams.also they can make you dream dreams they want you to dream.anyways now that you know i suggest this, take my same faith in God and Lucifer and then try to do good things with people even if you hate them.i live by this, everyone i ever meet has just as much right to be alive as i do and i should leave them in the same condition i found them.if you want to talk more on this as i can't seem to get rid of them i could let you ask them questions and give you thier answers. my e-mail and my name for aim and msn and yahoo messenger is this [email protected]

personally as a christian i have seen exorcisms and it is no joke at all. all i really have to say is that is choose not to believe in God and the bible then good for you...and to the dummy who sold their soul i pray that god has mercy on you because you have no idea what you have just done....you peolple are just rediculous and in a matter of time you are going t pay for what tyou've done to yourselves...its really sad

When I was younger (late teens) I used to hang with a group of "satanists" who were really just heavy metal heads getting drunk and playing around with ouija etc.
We had a book, the secret lore of magik, which they used to do spells from.

Anyhow I though it was all a bit strange and never really was convinced untill one night, when everyone was doing a seance at the table, I sat on a chair in the corner of the room and tried my own (telepathic) seance with one of those proper ouija boards you can get. It had an unside down heart shaped pointer with a clear circle in the middle.

I was sitting thinking is anyone here in my head and then the pointer moved.
Apart from nearly sh*tting myself, it was the moment when I had no choice to accept that there was *something* more to the puzzle.

The closest description I can make of the movement was like it had a magnet under the board pulling it along.
When it stopped it seemed to "lock" into position.
It felt like a magnet pulling from under the board but the feeling was like when the (imaginary) magnet got farther away, the pull got stronger, untill the pointer caught up.

Very wierd, but as I said, this was when I have no choice but to question and reconsider my beliefs.

I would say that if anything proved itself to you it would be proving a whole lot more out of its own convenience.

I see demons as merely beings who have given up their right on incarnation because they see the contstruct of the white light as enslavement.
So I would say that it would depend on the particular demons ability to interface in the physical realm.
I think far too much importance is placed on these and attention is lost elsewhere
I reckon there is another 3rd party pulling the strings and i dontmean no devil/satan.
I keep it uncategorized so it stays as a potential.

just a few thoughts on it. Im not an expert so just some secondary info that you may take something that may make sense to you.
