Just 3 questions:

How many people here are living in Iraq?

How many people here have actuallyr been in a war?

How many people here have ever been in a war on civilian side?

It looks like nobody really knows what is going on, but the people of Iraq, who are really doing all the dying - while the occupation forces are doing all the lying (like everytime in every war or combat). If you belive the official U.S. military numbers of fallen U.S. soldiers - then I guess you also belive in official Iraqi civilian bodycount. But we all know that the first casualty of war is actually THE TRUTH, which means, that every single information you and I get from this conflict zone is distorted and manipulated in a way, to keep the general public in favor of the war and not against it. Think about that for a minute...

Maybe.

Maybe not.

We are not there, man.

That is my point.

And if we are not there, we have no clue what is going on and how many people are really dying on daily, weekly and monthly basis. But one thing is certain: it sure is no the official number, that has been fed to us via mainstreamedia. You can bet on that!

US soldiers gave their lives because war is profitable for a lot of people. Nobody told the soldiers that.
Somebody is using your army for profit, and for their great plans of influence and business opportunities in the Middle East.

But -- yes, of course the coalition are destroying people (aka innocent by-standards) aka Casualties of War. Death is War and the Iraqis have been living with death for - oh-so-many-years prior to the coalition Invasion.
Great to see yah around Majic!!

US army chief in Afghanistan discloses interception of convoy carrying armor-piercing bombs from Iran on Sept. 5

October 18, 2007, 11:18 AM (GMT+02:00)

Gen. Dan McNeil, commander of the NATO-led ISAF confirmed to journalists in Kabul Thursday that the convoy had contained a number of “advanced technology improvised explosive devices.” He said he could not conceive that this convoy could have reached Afghanistan from Iran without the knowledge of the Iran military.

Seriously, cite the probably Faux News source or don't bother posting another news item in this thread -- it doesn't relate, at all, to said topic and seems like another cry for more war.

Hey, gov't agents -- don't waste our time posting here to try an sway public opinion for your future wars -- we're done w/ war after this quagmire in Iraq. Enough is enough, time to bring kids home, they've been there too long and probably really miss their families and are undergoing trauma from a brutal few YEARS. This is lately, the longest war in history outlasting ww2.

And the U.S. debt reaches 9 TRILLION. Cost of Iraq Quagmire: half a TRILLION. "Fiscal reckoning" is coming soon to a dying first world country near you.

It is clear that you have absolutely NO IDEA what you are talking about. Thats called ignorance, in case you were wondering.

Lets get a couple things clear.

To say that US troops may be given orders to execute all Iraqis is disgusting ignorant and completely illogical.

I can GAURUANTEE that if the goal of the American military machine was to kill as many Iraqis as possible, they would ALL be dead.

We are efficient enough. If we were trying to get them it would be more like 20 million dead.

As I said I WAS THERE. I was in a front line unit. A recon unit, as front line as it gets. I saw first hand what the reality was.

Nine out of ten soldiers didn’t fire a round! That makes these numbers almost impossible. Are you gonna call me a liar because you arent hearing what you want to hear?

My Troop Commander always told us not to be afraid to fight back, that he would always have our back, UNLESS IT WAS MURDER.

We were often pissed off that we spent as much time running from engagement so as not to fight in populated areas as we did actually fighting. SOP was to try and get away, fight if we cant escape.

My squadron, about 1000 well trained front line troopers in the WORST AREA OF IRAQ would probably kill an average of 5 Iraqis per month. Most of those were combatants.

We were in an area so bad that US troops are forbidden to go there now! You know Al Sadr? Yeah, he lived within 2 miles of our camp, with his entire Mahdi Army.

We were in the thick of it, as bad as it got over there. Why then did I not see these civilian deaths all around? Surely there were some. I am responsible for one. Out of my entire 100 man troop, only 2 of us accidentally killed a civilian.

It just isn’t going down like you people think it is.

Period.

If it is, then I am a liar and knowingly posting false information. So prove it and get me banned. Not holding my breath.

Do U.S. troops have orders to kill all Iraqi's? Absolutely not and it would be absurd to think so. 99.9 % of our troops are decent people as are their military leaders and if bush minor gave that order I would put my money on a resounding hell no from our soldiers.

The U.S. didn't lie when they said they could toppled the Iraq regime in a couple of weeks, but they were sorely lying to themselves when they figured they could just occupy this country.

Think of it like this, like you said now all those people dieing and misplaced cause of the war close to 6 million people. Think of how many of those people thought they were taken advantage of and seek revenge. Think of the family members of those people who died how they must feel toward a occupying American Army.

I feel horrible for not only the Iraqi people who had no choice in the matter, but I feel worse for the American soldiers who did have a choice, but just followed orders from Washington and executed those orders with what America really is, a military power. But after they toppled Saddam Hussein and they were forced to patrolled the streets of Baghdad and other Iraqi cities, while getting blind-sided by Iraqi insurgents, im sure seeing their commander in chief on national television referring to the insurgents as "Bring it On" did not sit to well at the pit of their stomachs.

Its disgusting, its even more disgusting cause all these war time "leaders" we have, out of the bunch of them maybe 5 have actually seen combat in their lives. Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld in particular, how can you send someone to war, when you dont know yourself what war really is and what it does to people.

Americans allowed BUSINESSMEN to run the White House, anyone who didn't see a problem of interest arising or still doesn't see this problem, first shouldn't be allowed to vote and second should have T.V. privileges taken away from them.

Think of how we will be looked back on 100-200 years from now, with the 3.7 trillion dollars lost, we could of fed all of Africa. Instead we wasted 7 years and lost countless lives on a War Against Terrorism." But we could of gone down in history as a civilization that completely annihilated the War on Poverty, across the world.

Think of how stupid we are. Instead of focusing our expansion on oil and natural resources, we could of been focusing on space exploration and foreign resources. In seven years we could of spent trillions of dollars on space missions to the moon, Mars, Saturn and its moons and any other space body of interest. Our knowledge on life outside of Earth could of been something completely different than it is today. Funny but painfully sad at the same time.

I think the iraqi population is down by like 5 % now. I don't think america gives a crap about freedom for anyone, america is in iraq to pick on people because of the way iraqis look. If they were white would they be attacked? NO. There is no goal for this war and it's never going to end. The only possible explanation is to station closer to the middle east and kill them for fun and show that america is boss (World Police) in the playground.
Freedom? NO.
Oil? does it seem like it?
Iran? why?
Israel? lol.

Yes we send trillions and risk our lives and reputation for a chance to kill tan people when we could have just done it right here in our backyard.

That has to be one of the smartest things I have ever heard. Why. I'll go and alert the press right now!

Do yourself a favor and go sit back down in front of a TV.

Edit to add: if you are going to label an entire country as racist, how about listing your nation. Just plain out rude.

forget it cavscout..the koolaid has been swallowed. first they say they don't trust the media, then they say it's absolute. they dont understand that like your brothers in arms you were trying to protect the civilians. they think that war is an absolute with no variables. they think our soldiers are frothing murderers.
not only do i take acception to this for your side of it ,but my daughter is in the navy.they were in the gulf last year, on a guided missle cruiser. they didn't murder any iraqi's at all.
how do you ask the men and women that we live with every day to go and defend you, then allude to the fact that they are wanton killers?.
they don't understand that we are fighting to keep this country alive by securing our currency, and our economy.
thanks for your service and stick by your guns.never let anyone take your pride
