Here it is...

Fork Lift Truck Hot Air Balloon

It's a German balloon in the shape of a fork lift truck - which is kind of a shame because I really thought that was a good photo for a bit.

That´s it!!! I´ve always thought it looks a bit like a forklifter, but I thought, why would there be a balloon looking like a forklifter??

@tep: I swear to you, it´s NOT photoshopped!!

Ok, ill take your word for it, but the white "stroke" indicates that it is..

My guess is that there's some kind of corruption in the digital image and it has moved part of the crane so it looks like it is floating.

The object seems to fit in with the crane somehow...

That's my $0.02AUD...

Wow, that is a pretty similar object to the one in the thread. I think we may have solved this mystery

Yes, I would also say: we´ve found the answer!

Thanks very much for your research and ideas. This thing gave me a headache.

@timeless test: great job! How and where did you find the picture?

Nola213 said somewhere on page 2 that they thought the yellow part looked like an arm - until then I just could not see a possible balloon at all and I was really thinking that you had something unusual.

Then I came across this site,
Balloon Database
and it's there in the German section. I have to say that I had seen another picture of it earlier and it still didn't click with me until I saw it from that angle.

Good job Timeless Test.

That beats all I've ever saw.
A forklift. I'll have to remember this one. I gave you a star Timeless Test for a job well done. It just goes to show that we never know what a UFO is until it is investigated and proven to be a forklift balloon or whatever it may be.

sorry edit to spell balloon right.

What is stupid is assuming and coming to a conclusion and screaming photoshop before all the research is done. Lesson learned?

That damn balloon database site is going in my bookmarks and will be another tool in my research efforts here.

I suppose we'll have to keep an eye out for these in future threads:

Great research on your part. Sometimes the truth is rather odd. It's ironic that it wasn't as weather balloon but was indeed a balloon. Even that worn out explanation still has merit at times.

This is great. As I was reading through the posts I was saying to myself it's a shame that there are usually no clear answers to these things. You got it man!

We saw a weird image, and learned of its source. That's the first time in my experience on this website that happened.

I had no idea poeple flew around in these weird balloons, they look really dangerous.

You can get those lines in regular images and they don't prove anything at all. So you really shouldn't shout PHOTOSHOPPED before looking more into it. You can get those white lines around objects that are moving while the photo is taken

If you're one of those people that shout FAKE when you look at the image for no longer than 5 seconds, don't bother coming back here.
