"It is absolute."

Absolute, in and of itself. Filling every void.

As for foolishness, I imply that people overlook what is in front of them. The complexity, and infinite depth of being.

Foolishness, a lack of attention to certain things.

I never said I am smarter, or I posess greater knowledge. Merely, I see things differently.

Why is your belief more absolute than mine, or a buddhists or the followers of the FSM. (
MM ).

Which people do you imply overlook what is in front of them?

I'm not being smart here i just don't understand that you can say you know certain things that others do not is not claiming greater knowledge.

My belief is absolute to myself, in that sense.

I respect yours, but your belief is not my absolute.

I also find it silly that people insult others intelligence if they believe. If you don't that is fine, you still believe in science, which is proved wrong many times, even if some of it the get right. I stay skeptical of science

Exactly I don't trust science either

And the post above that ... I like satin, it feels smooth and cool ... silk is too fragile, but then again, with my facial hair, sometimes even cotton takes a beating ... my stubble is like some killer sandpaper

LOL

I meant to type Satan not satin. This is what happens when I get mad and loose my cool- I type so fast my fingers get tied up. Thank you - you just made me laugh and I needed that.

MM, I just noticed you said I don't know what it's like to be an unbeliever.

I was an unbeliever. Then I met God halfway. Now, I believe!

here's the thing.... you don't need to TRUST science, you can look at everything yourself. it's all there, not as a matter of trust but as one of truth.

it's evidence based, so just look at all the damn evidence that's there

Of course, some of the more fanatical (?) postmodernists may disagree.

Not that I do, I think the self-correcting systems of science work pretty fantastically, all in all. But some have argued otherwise.

I do- And I don't take kindly to foul language. I see the trees, the mountains, the sky the birds etc- Life is all around us. Then I hear science scrutinize that there is no evindence of God anywhere. Madness think what you want to-Its clear to me you don't want to believe. You depend on science to prove their is a God. So what more can I do? I don't rely on science to tell me their is a God. I don't have to see Him to know He is all around us.

May God bless you all and keep you safe.

words are words, get over it.

yes, because we have evidence that shows the natural processes that created all those things...
you can't show any causation that shows god creating any of it.

Madness think what you want to-Its clear to me you don't want to believe.

really? i'm apathetic on it. i just want to go with what the evidence shows

You depend on science to prove their is a God.

of course i do... and i don't take kindly to foul grammar

So what more can I do? I don't rely on science to tell me their is a God. I don't have to see Him to know He is all around us.

but you do kind of have to prove all those things that influence your judgment of reality. you know... like, if you thought the sun revolved around the earth (it's odd that you don't, since your holy book says it does)... you'd have to prove that statement.

God is the master of process, he is the progenitor of natural sytems and the forms which manifest from them.

I am nearly positive science will one day claim it has somehow proven God wrong.

After those days, it will be very strange, very dangerous, spiritually and physically.

We will be endlessly toying with new bio-mechanic medicine, installation etc., not knowing the extent of our actions.

The United Nations is formulating its own religion. The NWO is real, right in front of our eyes.

Good luck.

probably won't... god doesn't factor in to anything
though science has proven the "word" of god to be wrong time and time again

really? that's just idle (and very ridiculous) speculation

The United Nations is formulating its own religion. The NWO is real, right in front of our eyes.

i love how ignorant these statements are... the UN is an organization of nations, not some detached world power. it even holds the (somewhat idiotic) standard of equal sovereignty, which means that no nation must subject itself to the rulings of the UN unless it volunteers itself to the process

the NWO is actually quite fictional... just look at the logic.

Nano medicine is fake?

And honestly, you need to follow some money trails. Then, you'll find out that there is a plan, and certain people are in charge.

"Science! Science I say!", According to many atheists, That's what the reason for everything is, science.

Man invents no science, or maths. He discovers and applies.

Edit:lol Dbates, your post dissapeared.

What does this have to do with the sun? God created us in his own image.

But hey madness I'm not gonna argue with you over this. Its pointless to argue with a rock who thinks is right while I'm wrong after all you did call me ignorant. So have it your way ok. All it does is upset me and almost caused me to doubt my own beliefs. So go and knaw on someones elses leg for a while- mine has enough bandages on it.

um... it's called an analogy. your belief in god lacks evidence, in fact certain parts of your belief fly in the face of evidence

the same would go for believing that the sun revolves around the earth

But hey madness I'm not gonna argue with you over this. Its pointless to argue with a rock who thinks is right while I'm wrong after all you did call me ignorant.

i may have called you ignorant regarding certain things... but who isn't ignorant to something?
i personally have almost no knowledge of sikhism, any statement about the religion would be ignorant..
i never called you ignorant of everything

So have it your way ok. All it does is upset me and almost caused me to doubt my own beliefs.

you should doubt your own beliefs. hell, i doubt my atheism at times.. then i realize that it's kind of recursive to doubt doubt... and then i realize that i could be wrong but that's ok with me.

So go and knaw on someones elses leg for a while- mine has enough bandages on it.

That's funny. Don't worry, Christians doubt their beliefs at times too. Wouldn't it be nicer if God would just give us his phone number so we could settle this once and for all.

I understand all too well why this thread was started, and the title. I have been a member here for 3 years (tomorow), and for about the past 2 years it has been near impossible to have any sort of in depth spiritual discussion. It is frustrating. You have something you want to discuss, and you dont get to because an athiest will hop on in, for the soul purpose of spitting on the thread. Comments all revolve around them talking down their noses to anyone who dare waste their time discussing such foolery. BUT on the other hand if its not the athiests, then it is someone from the opposite extreme who believes a certin way, and who insists everyone else in the world other than them is wrong wrong wrong and needs to shut up and just believe what they say. Either way it is impossible to have anysort of indepth discussion about anything spiritually related. If good topics come up, most of us, like myself, just dont bother. It always goes the same way. Which means it will never stay on topic. Damn shame if you ask me. Common courtesy, and respect for others flies out the window when spiritual or religious topics are brought up. I suppose not much has changed since the begining of time, in that regard.

Don't order me around. Do you have a bible? Try reading why I get sick of arguing with you- Start with Romans 1:29-32. And try that on for size.

Science cannot claim anything. Only people can. A person would have to be pretty weak in their beliefs to think that science (a methodology for quantifying and analysing the universe around us) can disprove God, the creator of that universe.

This is why I don't understand the Religion-Science divide. Science is the proof. Embrace it! You are strong in your beliefs, then they cannot possibly be shaken by anything science has to offer, and science can only offer the truth. If a person (not science itself) is arrogant enough to attempt to 'disprove' God through science, there should be some person to 'prove' it. That won't happen if religious people hide away and shun science. Shunning science is foolishness. Science is the search for truth. God is truth.

I do not divide science and God. Science in my eyes, is the study of what God has created.

I am saying, "science", "truth" will declare there is no God.

The notion of God will then turn into one of, "we are all God". Lucis trust is formulating plans with the UN. This will be implemented. Occult studies and techniques will become commonplace. Powerful sorcery, which is manipulation of element, will be in everyones lives.

Those who follow Christ will be seen as speed bumps on the road to gnostic achievement. They'll be killed eventually.

Or not.

Edit: an interesting video. It's a bit charged with conspiratorial emotion, but there is truth within it.
