You are in the wrong site, this site is open to debate/opinions for all kinds of people, regardless of race, religion or culture, so long as they do not break any rules in this site.

If you only want opinions by fellow theists, go to a theist only site.

An atheist stating that "God does not exist" is fair game to everyone here as is a theist stating that "God has always existed, there is no beginning or end to God."

It doesn't matter what you believe as long as you are able to get involved in any debate/conversation with everyone here in a civil and intelligent manner.

I have to wonder why a few people here try to dominate this section for their type of people to participate? Does this happen more often here than in any other sections in this site, I wonder?

I agree with the OP, you guys should move to Mars or something.

Then you can have your own Utopian atheistic society, not bound by the crazy ideals of the religious. It will be awesome, you will have absolutely nothing to live for.

And you guys can have your own Utopian religious society, not bound by logic and facts. It will be awesome, you will be able to live for a non-existent being rather than living for yourselves and without those pesky unbiased debates and that thing called "proof" getting in the way.

why should we be the ones to move? if anything, religion should be expelled as it had its run on this planet

it's not the ideals of the religious we have a problem with, we actually agree with a lot of them. the so-called religious "morals" and that whole faith thing are what he have a problem with

and it would be quite nice, especially since we'd get most of the scientists...

Well, this IS a discussion forum; debate is the name of the game! And any topic concerning spirituality/religion/GOD/etc. is inevitably going to draw both theists and atheists!

Please understand that I have nothing against atheists, I just don't like how they keep persisting to argue.

The only one I've had attempts to censor me in has been this one. Repeatedly. At least once a month.

In other sections they've learned to just ignore me.

Shut up crossed your mind in regards to this topic, clearly, since you used it as the title. Your attitude towards the subject, which you created a thread about, represents a "shut up" attitude, in the sense that you are sick of us Atheists doing what we do, which seems to touch a nerve inside of you.

If it wasn't how you felt, it wouldn't have crossed your mind. You could have just as well titled it "go jump off a cliff", but since you don't wish that upon anyone (I hope), you didn't make that the title.

"Shut up" represented your feelings on the subject quite well.

I agree 100% with that

I should of titled this thread "why cant we get along" now after I have read MM post. My original argument was based on my thought that when athiests argue, they are trying to convince believers that thier belief is wrong.

If that isn't true, then this thread no longer has any meaning. But if it is true, then let the debate carry on.

You must have very strange view of atheists if you think that they live/exist only to make life difficult for theists.

Perhaps I have read your post wrongly but what exactly are you implying here?

I think most atheists are more interested in discovering/learning new information/knowledge about this universe, others universes or what may lay beyond.

And that is what they will continue to do with or without any religion or theists around them.

To live and improve the intellectual, moral and spiritual development of the human race is what I think most atheist are striving for.

In simpler terms, to be better, decent human beings.

Am I so bold as to presume that theists, live to please/obey their God in every and any way, in this life and the next?

As I pointed out in one of my threads, ALL posters in 'my' threads have every right to put their thoughts out to the public - in a just, civil, and thoughtful manner; according to the Terms and Conditions of ATS/BTS/ and Above Politics thereof.

It is in MY OPINION and mine alone, that when 'believers' put forward their stances on what they believe, they should be mindful of the fact that there are mannnnnnnnny minds out there in this world, that will have 'a say' on things.

With that in mind, anyone one of us believers should be aware (batten down the hatches...so to speak) as to the many diverse reactions, that we will all receive from people from All around the world

How we face these reactions/opinions/etc, makes ALL the difference.

I want it to be known, that I'm not attacking the OP, but 'questioning' the motives behind the title to this thread.

If the OP is 'frustrated' as to the responses of un-believers, and is on an 'attacking-mode', I would highly suggest that he/she step back from the boards and 'reason' as to why? Why throw a thread out with the opening title...'shut up'?

Take it from Ducky...Lord knows that sometimes I can be frustrated over differing opinions. I've seen myself 'lash out'. I'll be the first to admit it!

I've had to take a step back from things.

Why?

Because if I didn't...I'd end up working myself up to ill means, and attacking 'well-meaning and good-minded people' for NO just cause.

I've woken up the next morning, after seeing my posts and thought:

*What the hell?...jeese..I couldn't posted better
*Why did I post those things, when I know now that I could've posted a helluvolot better!
*Why did those people take my 'wordings' in a wrong context? I must choose my words wisely.

I see a lot of crap...and yet, alot of good on these threads.

For every thread that I post, I hope that people will come into my thread and add something...something to enlighten or brighten one anothers' day.

If for chance, that no one will post in my thread, I'm not discouraged.

If for chance, someone posts in my thread, I will do my utmost to make that person feel welcome, and mutually reciprocate the 'days thoughts'.

I'm a very stubborn individual.

AndyYet, if I see better plans in the making, benifical to all around, I will quickly adopt those plans.

I'm not too proud to admit when I'm wrong sometimes.

One things for sure, I would never, NEVER have started up a thread blatently attacking others with the start-up lines: Shut up.
