Hi, although i am not hugely familiar with the history of this cult, i and my entire family have suffered at its hands. My grandmother and one of my
aunties are members of the palmarian church, if you read the post on the rules of the church or are familiar with it, you'll realise this means they
cannot talk to anybody who has been a member of the church and left. This rule was introduced after 7 of my grandmothers 10 children had left the
church. 3 of them never joined and are married so they can talk to her when dressed appropriately. My auntie who is also palmarian had a traumatic
experience and needed to be able to talk to her mother, hence her return to the church, im not fully convinced she believes in all of the rules and
practices, however my grandmother is a firm believer in them all and this has torn apart my once extremely close family, my grandfather passed away
recently and naturally it was heartbreaking to us all when she failed to visit him dying in hospital or attend his funeral after 40 years of marriage
and what can only be described as unconditional love between them. He was not palmarian, however she was allowed to talk to him as otherwise they
would have had to divorce. So he was a way of maintaining some kind of contact with them both, after losing him the family is finding it increasingly
hard to stay strong, i just wanted to know, are your family still believers? is there any way at all that somebody can make people realise this is a
religion built on lies?? what made you realise that it was a farse if its all you have ever known?? i need to know if i should give up hope of them
seeing sense or not..if you could answer any questions or help me make any sense of this at all i would be extremely grateful
