Exactly, what we need to do is check what else has been moving around in mayor cities, at least if some security has been boosted lately.

In the past few months I've noticed a significant increase in military helicopter activity over the city. I started a thread about it but received no comments.

I have not checked the various installations around the city (Marines on the South edge, Ft. Leavenworth, Whitemans AFB, or Ft. Riley). Perhaps I will check on a couple of them to see what their activity level is.

Aside from the occasional Army truck however, I have not seen any ground activity in the city.

Not sure if this could be relateted but certainly worth watching for with schools scheduled to open in the next week or so. Perhaps someone has plans on kidnapping children??

Hundreds of school Bus radios stolen (see video) and 17 school buses stolen near Houston in the past few weeks.

Since it is a new day in some parts of the world and over half the day is gone in the rest one would think we can wash out the allien invasion for today DG

I have also noticed an increase in military heli flights in my city. I live within 5 miles of Nashville International, right next to the landing traffic pattern, so I am used to seeing aircraft.

But lately, there have been a lot of strange dark green helicopters overhead with black lettering, if any at all. I have noticed a few of the classic "black heli's" with some sort of white instrument mounted above the rotors (radar?), and I could have sworn I saw two Marine heli's with the mostly green body and the white section up top (like for the Prez). I just caught them as they went behind the trees while I was driving down the road, so I could be wrong about that one. They were flying close together though.

Anyways, point is, I too have noticed an increase in military air traffic, primarily heli's, but also increased C-130 traffic. What other cities are noticing this? Can we speculate a reason for all this domestic military buzzing-around?

Funny how our president protects him self and his office but not the rest of the country. He doesnt care about the "American People", All he cares about is inflicting fear on the people for this country. We have no power.

short post but not much needed. i can sum up a great possible explaination for all this increased activity. "one weekend a month and 2 weeks in the summer...in the army national guard...YOU CAN!" least thats how some of the commercials used to go.

Well they wouldent send an air artillery unit to perform martial law functions ... that would be performed by the MPs.

This is most likely just another form of beefing up security and indicats that they have a very real substantiated threat

Well, they would if they thought certain airforce units may 'rebel' against any declaration of martial law...

Calling in more troops is bush minor's way of preventing any more of his staff from resigning.

Wow, sounds like a busy day! I wonder what the aliens have planned for after dinner time?

Will this pre-empt the RedSox-Yankees series in the Bronx?

'Because he's a power crazed LOON who wants to be dictator of Venezuela ...(and he's well on the road to that) '

Are you sure this is Chavez you're talking about? Sounds like someone closer to home... heh! Don't you mean 'he want's to bring socialism to Venezuela without 'outside' interference'? And if the people of that country voted him in with that in mind, (which they did by the way...) it's no-one else's biz really...

Hmmm.. take your grumpy pills today?
Remind me not to joke with you anymore.

I really think that some people here just logon to belittle anyone else who has an opinion that contradicts their own limited world paradigm. Not mentioning any names of course...

There have been a lot of UFO sightings lately. Isn't that a bad thing? Don't they come only to witness historic, maybe disasterous events?

I believe in the August before 9/11 there were reports of a UFO spotted near the Empire State Building in New York. There were also a lot of shark attacks against people that summer. Are the animals acting weird?

I heard several people on Coast To Coast AM call in to mention that the birds had disappeared from their towns.

I'm starting to get an uneasy feeling myself.

I'm not too sure about that ^

it seems like the feeling i had about this changed? maybe things have calmed down, maybe because of this:

news.bbc.co.uk...

but you never know, something could still happen..but I believe that if they didn't return those iranian soldiers they could of easily used that to carry out an "attack" on US soil and blame it on Iran and off to war we go and thus B stays in power longer of gets to implement new "patriot act" type of things into effect on the people and then off we go into Martial Law..and like dominos' everything we've been seeing people talk about comes true..

I really think that some moonbats would prefer to associate with and hear from only like-minded moonbats, for obvious reasons. Not mentioning any names of course....

I really think you should mind your own business, thank you very much, as Elvis says. Jsobecky and I are friends and we "understand" each other. Need i say more.
Back to business.

If your reference to moonbats was directed to me, Jsobecky, i'm gonna punch you.

I'd never call you a moonbat, dg. You're a bright little moonbeam to me.!

We need a smilie that blows a smooch to another person. I could use one right now.

One thing for sure though, it is like having uniformed security guards, the visual aspect of deterence. That may be what is in motion, (...)

Agreed, there's more here than meets the eye.

i can see a recruitment strategy hidden in this re-deployment,

You can bet the farm that Media will cover this high-tech Air Defense Artillery unit to no end,
all the razzle-dazzle of the unit being able to knock Drones out of the sky...
And you'll see the 'sanatized' version of military service as these spit-&-polish goodwill ambassadors will be on high profile details all over the DC area.
The end game -> to impress potential recruits for the military.

see: www.globalsecurity.org...

1st, Look at their unit Patch.....'home & country', red & yellow, symbolism!
2nd, look at their recent history, airport security at 3 Florida airports.

put it all together,
these guys can do high-tech shootdowns, but my guess is that the A.C. mobile command centers, the soldiers relating how they need not have their boots on the ground in a combat theatre...are items that will be
heavily stressed by the media coverage.
the live action Battallion will be a tremendous recruitment tool...

that's how i see things
