Legal Affidavit: Walter Haut Discloses Roswell Truth (released after death)

Well this certainly is interesting to say the least... I will keep my eye on this one and see how it unfolds. Although I am always a bit skeptical when the story comes out after someone dies, either way, I certainly won't make a desicion on this until more info flows in.

Just out of curiosity.. how many people here believe that the object that crashed in Roswell is of alien origin? And how many people believe that it was a craft built by our own government?

I would like to understand where you are coming from. As far as the MJ-12 hoax my source that MJ-12 is real is Gen. James H. Doolittle. Do you think that Gen. Doolittle was in on the Stanton Friedman MJ-12 document hoax?

And if its not too much trouble could you give me your best evidence that the MJ-12 documents are a hoax? I mean other than your statement that Stanton Friedman is a liar & hoaxer. Thanks for your post.

Also funny how some people are calling Haut a hoaxer of some sort. It was an 'official army press release' for gods sake. If he made it up, dont you think he would have faced some serious punishment?

Logicalthinker, i have sources in the ufology industry- long time ufo researches (two). Lets just say with what i've been told i am convinced he is part of it.

Lets just say that I wont take your opinion serious until you back it up with facts.

im sorry i will not compromise those 2 people or the information they gave me. Especially becuase it cannot be proven.

just look at the fact he released a book endorsing the documents when all the evidence points to them being forged. To this day he continues to endorse "some" of those documents again flying in the face of all the evidence to the contrary. He's one of only about 3 ufologists who beleive they are authentic. Many many more say they are fake.

p.s there is a clue in the above paragraph

My opinion is that when a 'biker and alleged proulsion expert' stoops to claiming that Walter Haut is lying, he is in the final stages of ultimate denial. Thanks AD, there is now no doubt who you are and who you represent. Tactically you had almost no credibillity until this. Thanks for the post.

I don't see how that sort of ad hominem advances the discussion at all. AD asserts that there is no evidence that Haut saw the debris. A single counterexample is all that is required to disprove this, and yet none is offered. I guess AD can't be right, since he rides a motorcycle?

I don't believe either. I just know that the government keeps backing off of stories over time, replacing them with other stories. Whether this is capitulation or deliberate action I will probably never know.

Unfortunately, no. A signed and notarized affidavit is powerful stuff. But without the ability to cross-examine him? I am upset that he didn't release this while he was alive. It would have given his story more force.

Have you at least read his literature? I am not saying that I agree with the conclusions that he draws, but his skill is cultivating good evidence. Further, he was not an advocate of the MJ-12 documents until years after he had finished researching them and their validity.

I understand people have their opinions and some dont agree with them, but hwy the infighting? Why do we have a FOE button at the bottom of each post? We have a FRIEND one also but seriously. Its as if we've been asked to argue.

I came here expecting to find interesting discussion about some things that interest me. All I find is people playing a game of "Guess who's telling the truth."

I still like this place but I see this forum needing ALOT of work.

The only thing I can make of your post is that you are not familiar with the literature and have never read what Stanton Friedman wrote. Had you read it you would know that Friedman believes the MJ-12 documents to be a hoax. His detailed (and I mean DETAILED) information on the subject can be found in summary form here. His feeling is that these were produced to obscure several real documents which have also been found. Far from being a person who is 'complicit in perpetrating' the ongoing hoax, he is the one who EXPOSED the MJ-12 documents as a hoax.

I think that if you are going to make a blanket statement like this you need to provide some data. Have you uncovered a smoking gun? Do you have information to the contrary? Anything? Do you have any contrary evidence that matches the detail of Friedman's research? How much time have you put into this, anyway?

All I have to say on this subject is that I do believe something crashed in Roswell that our government obviously didn’t know how to deal with. If it was a balloon then why come out with the flying saucer story at the beginning, then change to the weather balloon story. Seems to me and im a fairly educated man that the Gov. screwed the pooch when they released the UFO story. I believe that the true story is usually the first story put out. The excitement of what was found took control over their thinking process. Once they realized what they had done they back tracked. It’s obvious that UFOs have been studying earth for a long, long time. The evidence is overwhelming. Bible verse, Portraits, Egyptian stone carvings...the list goes on. Yes some people will try and make money off the UFO subject but how can any clear thinking person not see the evidence that is available today. Face it debunkers you have no proof they don’t exist but those of us who can actually comprehend what we see can live in peace knowing we are not alone in the universe and never have been.

Mr. Lear thank you for your insight and please don’t let a few disinformation agents keep you away from speaking your mind here. I respect what you have done to try and get things out in the light. I don’t always agree with your findings but it does add to the critical thinking process for me anyway. I am new to ATS but not new to the UFO saga. My college term paper was on the search for intelligent life in the Universe and I got an A on it so im not just someone who believes everything they are told. But I can think for myself. It’s my opinion that most of the debunkers are scared of what might really be the truth.

ShrunkenSimon, there are a couple different beliefs in the occupants of the craft. Some believe that there were 3 different types of beings on the craft. One type looked human, another looked like a Grey, and another looked like a Grey but was wearing a mask type device that when removed was described as "monstrous". Others that have claimed to have seen one of the bodies (Corso) described it more like a Grey, but not Grey in color, though this could have changed after death and looked different in the liquid it was spotted in.

Many believe they are of extraterrestrial origin while others believe they are time travelers. Some believe that they are from another dimension.

I really have no idea if they are from Earth, outside of Earth, or from a future time period. I just want verification that these beings were in fact found and studied.

I think everyone uses them differently. I use the FRIEND button for anyone I think puts up a logical fact based argument, whether they agree with me or not. My evergrowing list of friends includes all of those that I come across that use intelligence in their discussions.

Now lets get back to the topic at hand and argue some of the facts. I think that it is a fact that Haut was not fully truthful of everything that he saw during his life regarding Roswell. I believe that he didn't disclose everything he knew because he was bound to secrecy at the time. He obviously felt it was important enough to share this amazing story when he knew he couldn't face the consequences.

What Lt. Haut is claiming, is that they initially released the story after realizing many of the Roswell locals had witnessed the crash debris and that there was a second larger debris field 40 miles away from Roswell. Because they figured there were already witnesses at the first site, they wanted to insure that noone saw the second. After initially releasing the information, higher powers insisted that the story be changed for national security purposes. Not such a bad idea considering what they got their hands on and the need to hide it from other countries.
