As an ex "UFO freak" I'd like to tell you this.
To get scientific authentification of the "drone", you must have at least a "reference point", which is nowhere in these pics. The pics obviously cut the basis of the trees so we can't estimate the sqize, altitude and angle, etc... of the so-called "drone". If I had more free time, i'd not spend it creating hoaxes like you.
This is a shame to see this post even exists on ATS

these new pictures are developed film. not digital photos at all. how can they fake/hoax it that way? I got no clue.

So now it is harder to believe these are "NOT" actually developed pictures, than is it to believe this is "NOT" a real object

Strewth...

The thing will be the size of the sydney harbour bridge soon the way its growing and you will still believe why no one has reported it...

I haven't posted on the drones in a while because I was at first intrigued by them, and then convinced that they were fake, after so many 'problems' came up with them.

Now this is becoming just plain idiotic. If these things are real, and so damned abundant, why haven't any turned up in the mainstream news? If they are not 'real', then what's the purpose?

I 'feel' that these are a hoax, and I am aware that not everyone does. Still. there's been a lot of work put into a hoax, if that is what it is, with no payoff in sight. While viral marketing seems the favorite answer, there's a limit to how much time and effort is worthwhile.

Any marketing strategy would be to get as much attention as possible, which doesn't seem to be the case here. If this were to promote something, then it would be counter productive to limit the audience to UFO sites, as the people here are not a large enough segment of the overall population to be worth the effort.

Any major marketing firm, and someone pushing a movie would naturally be in this group, would have enough contacts to get this story out to a wider venue, after this amount of time.

If this is a project of just a few cgi artists, then one would think that the thrill would have passed by now, and no more photos would show up. I can see the connection that all the photos seem to end up being 'shown' to us through the same set of sites, but that could indicate only that a google search shows these sites first, or these are the sites most people find first.

If this is a hoax, it is interesting for the reason that I find it truly odd that someone, or group, would expend this much effort. To fool even some of those studying the pictures has required a massive amount of talent.

I was going to mention how Heavy it would be, if the size is what is claimed...

Also, whats that cage looking thing on the underside. Appears to have something hanging from the center of it. Is that a big "claw" that opens to catch whatever the hanging thing in the middle of it retrieves from the ground?

I just had to ask...

Im the opposite. As time goes on, I find these harder to believe they are real without proof of them being so.

So many sightings. No new hysteria. No mass witnesses. No outsiders coming forth to tell their story. Just rare and random people offering to not tell a tale and provide pictures that cause THIS and other similar communities to stir up.

Nope.. Im not falling for it. Not unless I see it on the news, or I see footage that is verifiable by eye wittness who are credible, or I SEE it myself.

CGI.

Thats just my opinion on the matter..

You print out the finished picture on a large piece of paper and photograph it.

The shadowing looks more like the reflection of the trees under the "drone". (I have been recording and saving everything dealing or related with the drone/s for future reference)

Yup, we definitely got ourselves a HOAX / Viral thing happening.

Just like clockwork, I called it, I KNEW we would get more pictures this weekend, it fits the time line of all the pictures that have popped up.

So what's the story on this one?

for one read the story. for two I dont think its a viral ad / hoax anymore and realling its because of the scanned pictures.

Wow... just wow. How did you type that without laughing uncontrollably?
If this is how you truly feel, then you can go on over to www.theyfly.com and give all your money to a scam artist since he has "real'" pictures..... If you don't like that one, you can give all your money to Maurizio Cavallo since she has non-digital "pictures" of aliens and their craft on THIS SITE...
Or do you think when JRRITZMAN duplicated some non-digital fake UFO pictures, he was really taking pictures of real UFOs and than lied to us?

I remember HighCT was consulting lawyers to sue these whoever was behind them but has now since changed his/her mind. Maybe is seeing information s/he wants to see to support his/her arguments.

When I was in Art School we had several 'film recorders' like these:

www.marietta.edu...

It is essentially a 35 mm camera that is connected to an rgb projector. The projector shoots the light in red, blue, and green separately. Many students would use it to create super high resolution slides of their 3-d models for their portfolios.

It is not a stretch that someone is compositing images in Photoshop, sending them through a film recorder, getting them developed at 'Walmart' and then rescanning the images for posting them at the internet. If that is what everyone has been worried about that these are 'real photos', of course it is very possible and not farfetched.

In fact, using a larger film recorder is how CGI digital effects are added into a movie... (80mm I think?) unless of course it is projected via a digital projector at the theatre. Then no film is needed. So a place like ILM would probably be able to create some high quality scans of photos, since everyone has attacked the EXif data with a fury...

I do find it very interesting that as soon as we uncover new possible truths, that new photos are released. Less than 24 hours after the Halo3 link was denied by Bungie, new photos appear? That is very strange...

We have to also think that in addition to hoaxer's getting off on the amount of research going on, one has to think that this a concerted effort to keep us focused on Hoax Drones instead of researching other topics.

We also need to think about how we may have altered whatever possible Viral Campaign by our relentless pursuit of the truth. Maybe we have been getting too close, too fast...

Now that's what I was getting at over the amount of work that has went into these photos. Some payoff that would be worth the effort.

A diversionary tactic, if the "other" subject was big enough fills the order.

But if this is a campaign to steer the UFO community away from something, what is it? What news or ideas are just emerging that would be worth this much effort?

Honestly I don't know what we are possibly being steered from...

It could all be a way to test how perceptive/ hard headed we are about finding truth, whatever the truth is...

It could also be that we broke the campaign open too early for Halo and they are trying to improvise... same with transformers....

I don't know, but it makes my mind swim...
I would like to know why there are so many first name only witnesses... Why only send to Earthfiles (which has made them look complacent in these hoaxes....)

Someone in one of the many posts asked why not shoot video, since most snapshot digitals do that these days... and boom we get "scans of film"

I can tell you this... the lack of organization/various threads with posters repreating research over and over only makes it harder to find the truth. I have also seen a few blogs via google searches that have taken all the photos and premises and crafted a website with ads that they are getting paid from etc... How is that even legal?

I dunno... I still find it strange that a the O'Hare sighting last Nov had no real photo evidence, and was blown up all over major media... This, has amazing/technological advanced (if real) craft, with multiple sightings and photo evidence, and not a sniff or mention... I know the photos have all been vetted by pros who believe them to be fake ( I even created my own Big Basin hoax over the Luxor) but why haven't even local news papers picked something up...?

I even remember some little old lady calling into Coast to Coast last weekend from Northern California saying she sees these all the time....

The mud is getting thicker...

I REPEAT... THAT IMAGE IS A HOAX

Maybe I should have sent that image to earthfiles instead of telling everyone that is is a hoax.... Then we would see how Linda Howe is willing to post anything that will drive her revenues up... even if she is being used like a puppet....

Well if these images indeed are with a film camera that means that somewhere out there is negatives, and I'd for one would like to see those being put trought a proper negative scanner. From 35mm negatives you can find amazing amount of detail assumming you're using a good scanner.
As for this set, same as before, no definite proof of real/hoax. Amazingly enough there's plenty of cgi people here to push their opinions on uneducated people.

Garbage!!

This right here is ridiculous!! So many people supposedly see this ceiling fan and no one gets decent video? WTF!!!?

You guys should stop wasting time and energy on this Hoax, go outside and film some real UFOs. There are too many UFOs out there to be dreading over some Photoshop fakes. Go out and you might get lucky, stay in and you will have to deal with this crappy UFO fake.

Let me throw up all over these picture

Through all of these "drone" threads and pictures, had anyone else noticed that the top of the drone looks very much like a common household item? A wire wisk. I put this picture together to illustrate my point...

I'm not really thinking cgi for these pics, but rather miniature models. For scale, the widest part of the wire whisk is 3-4 inches. (Depending on the Mfr., could be a bit wider, or narrower also)

just a thought.....

Mechanic32: Funny that your avatar is "drone_lol.jpg" how long did it take you to make your version of it?

Seriously though. This stuff isn't hard to make any more and there are tons of schools for it. It wouldn't really even be too hard to make a 30 second version of it, Maya + After Effects and whammo!
