As yuefo said above, we are also going to have to agree to disagree.

I have believed them to be 3D renders from the start. I am a multimedia student currently working on my 3D animation major work, and once you get your head around the software it is not as hard as you might think to create elaborate models such as the 'drone'. If i could afford to get the software packages at home and had the time needed, i'm sure i could make my own set of photos to cause a stir.

To back that up... here is a 3D render made with a FREE software package

99% of people would believe that to be a photograph.

As for this particular set of images, i believe it is simply the next step in the viral campaign. As people above mentioned, we were due for the next set of images. I'll leave it up to David and Jritzman to explain the reasons why. They know what they are talking about far more than me.

these new pictures are developed film. not digital photos at all. how can they fake/hoax it that way? I got no clue.

I haven't read the story (I'm not sure where it is, as I'm only following this UFO loosely), but how do you know for sure they were developed on film? Only because they said so? Or did they have scanned negatives too or what? One could also print the photos (or have a photo developer print them) and then scan them back into the computer, if one were wanting to make them appear more like a scanned photo.

I wouldn't believe it was film unless I could see the original negative in my hands. Also, take note of the trees, especially around the leaves. Notice how there's a bit of blue/purple around them. This looks like purple fringing. You don't get that with film last I checked.

In my opinion, the UFO is looking more and more CG every time.

Stop looking at the 'drone' and look at the trees. Twelve different photos taken and the camera doesn't move at all. Not only that, nor do any of the leaves or branches move!

I'd say we're looking at a single digital photo of the treetops that has been duplicated each time the rendered and rotated object has been inserted.

Poor old Linda. How will she live this down!!

yeah I know all about what can be done with Maya3d and such, but there is always still going to be signs of digital altering.

Ive been following all this pretty close and from what I know, NOT A SINGLE PERSON has proven without a shadow of a dout ANY of the images to be altered.

at 1st when I saw the chad pics I thought this had to be a fake/hoax, but as time goes on and more stories come out, its getting harder to just say its fake without any solid proof of it being so.

I'm sorry to confuse things further, but have any of you seen this sighting here: Birmingham Drone

Also I saw a post on here about the original C2C style drones saying that they were always close to a tree, and this shot here proves that to be untrue. Far from tree 1

Far from tree 2

In my opinion, it's a fake, but a very good one, but then again I always say to myself "Think it's fake until someone can prove otherwise."

hmmm wouldnt the branches and leaves only move if there was wind? how do you know if it was windy or not?

also the camera moves slightly but not much because maybe the person taking the pictures is standing IN THE SAME SPOT NOT RUNNING AROUND?

makes sense to me.

Lets say this is a gov't drone. Could they be testing different equipment with it?

To me these pictures scream fake. There are SO many of them, and they are all totally clear. And the foreground is always in the same focus, as the drone, no matter how far away it is.

One curious note, in this picture the hole in the middle is lighter color than the sky around. Either it has some 'levitation field' or something, or it could be a messup on the artist behalf. I havent seen any other of the drones having a levitation-field or whatever.

Similar thoughts here.
The other observers did not get extended views due to the craft moving or disappearing. This time it hangs around showing off. If the pictures were taken with a motor drive camera in a short period of time it would seem it was turning fairly quickly. Would to nice to know the actual sequence. If the names are the sequence then it's bottom to top.

Show the negatives to at least back up the film image statement or i'll figure something is being hidden.

I see no signs of any camera movement - only cropping of a single photo and maybe a little bit of rotation in one of them. Ty must be made of reinforced concrete and have feet of lead to be able to take a series of 12 photos with a hand held manual camera and not move a micron. One of the photos shows signs of focus change which again, if not a photoshop blur, Ty managed without moving at all!

Of course, he could carry a heavy duty tripod which he is able get out, set up, attach his camera, snap 12 frames all on the precarious mountain side and all in the space of 1 minute!

Notice his story also tries to explain why the earlier set of pictures never made it into the mainstream media despite the photographer claiming to have contacted a local paper.

I don't see what you guys are talking about with the trees. Look closely and you can clearly see that the drone was slowly moving around while rotating. In a few of the photos it appears to be in the same place but not all of them.
The plot thickens.

To HighCT : nowhere is it mentioned that these photos have not been taken with a digital camera, it is only said that the photos are printed, Almost anyone can do that at home ...
Anyway I don't know if this is fake or not, there is just one thing bothering me, if you look at all the photos taken since the begining of all this, they all have a "dullness" to them, the colors all look "washed" "dull". To me the photos are taken with the same camera all the time, thats the only thing thats really bothering me.

Yup, we definitely got ourselves a HOAX / Viral thing happening.

Just like clockwork, I called it, I KNEW we would get more pictures this weekend, it fits the time line of all the pictures that have popped up.

So what's the story on this one?

for one read the story. for two I dont think its a viral ad / hoax anymore and realling its because of the scanned pictures.

these new pictures are developed film. not digital photos at all. how can they fake/hoax it that way? I got no clue.

Wow... just wow. How did you type that without laughing uncontrollably?
If this is how you truly feel, then you can go on over to www.theyfly.com and give all your money to a scam artist since he has "real'" pictures..... If you don't like that one, you can give all your money to Maurizio Cavallo since she has non-digital "pictures" of aliens and their craft on THIS SITE...
Or do you think when JRRITZMAN duplicated some non-digital fake UFO pictures, he was really taking pictures of real UFOs and than lied to us?

" Wow... just wow. How did you type that without laughing uncontrollably? "

i agree, no offence to any one but these ppl, assuming there are more than one person, are probably sitting back having a nice chuckle from all this.

This "ufo" is part of Microsofts Halo 3 viral-marketing campaign.

Okay, I'll bite. The "purple" in the trees is actually blue. As in sky blue. It is currently overcast and hazy today due to the heat and I still see color variations in the pale grey sky. As opposed to the complete white sky of the pictures like a paint dump or color erase.

Just my 2 cents before looking at the focus not matching. By that I mean you have full detail in the drone but not in the leaves despite the same level of blur.

I don't think that is an official microsoft site. I am pretty sure it is a viral marketing campaign for the Transformers movie.
