Actually, they were just talking about
that on TV, while it looks like it was nabbed,
in another camera angle, you can see the
Prez take it off and put it in his pocket.

Them some crazy Albanians though..

I think it was the little old white haired lady. Why else would she want to get that close to him?

Good pictures.

I read somewhere yesterday (I think it was Wayne Madsen Report, but not 100% sure) that this was a tape made to look like Bush was very popular in a Moslem country, Albania. At least this is the way it looked on Fox/MSM. Albania is, however, not a Moslem country, at least 75% are agnostic supposedly and the Albanians shown are hired airport workers. Don't know if this is true, but it sounds about right for govt. propaganda.
Good catch RealTruth.
I think the little old white-haired lady looks like Barbara Bush though.

I just freeze-framed-viewed that clip...take a look closely at his left hand/arm at around 03:08-03:10...you can make out someone grabbing him by the forearm as people clamour and reach out to almst grab a hold of him, and then in the next second his watch is gone

Yep, I bet it's on e-bay already.

Well, at least somebody has gotten a good deal out of Bush, besides his rich buddies that put him in the White House.

The mystery of President Bush’s missing watch has been solved.

After days of internet rumors and international reports that the president’s watch was stolen as he was mobbed by a crowd in Albania this weekend, the White House is setting the record straight.

Asked at Tuesday’s briefing if the presidents watched was lifted, spokesman Tony Snow answered, “No, it was not. It was placed in his pocket…the president put it in his pocket and it returned safely home.”

It wasn't stolen, as someone else just posted... it was placed in his pocket.
No conspiracy, nothing to see here...

0:59 - I see him step away from the crowd momentarily
1:00-1:04, a good 4-5 seconds, he takes the watch off and dives back in..

It was pretty clear on TV the angle I saw.
As funny as it would be, I don't think it happened.

Official word. Watch was not Stolen.

Here is the Official Story and link.

U.S. denies reports Bush's watch stolen in Albania

"It is not true," said Albania's police director, Ahmet Prenci.

Photographs showed Bush, surrounded by five bodyguards, putting his hands behind his back so one of the bodyguards could remove his watch.

The story has made headline news in the UK, the news gets worse, Paris Hilton and now this, a watch stolen of a Billionaire while people are treating him like some sort of god. It's amazing what you can get away with and people still treat you like a idol. Is it me or is journalism at an all time low? Im close to not even watching news on the TV anymore it's close to being diabolical, MTV celebrity news is pretty much the same nowadays.

On my local news recently, headline news was Prince William shopping in ASDA, the next story someone was murdered. I mean wtf? it's like Paris Hilton is going back to prison, after 10 mins of pointless interviews the next story is "oh just another 160 died in a bombing in Iraq" nevermind....

Everyone is hell bend on the watch didn't get taken, but like you point out in the video it got stolen right in front of our eyes.

Good work on the still shots and frame to frame.

No, it didn't.

Your screenshots have a 20 second gap.

Hopefully someone will post some shots or
video from a different angle. I'm pretty
positive the Prez removes it himself and
puts it in his pocket..

Lol either way, I really don't care anymore.

To be honest it looks like the watch may have slipped off. There were so many people reaching and grabbing there's is no telling.

I dont question the watch, but who are the "adoring fans"??? They must be adoring to be totally surrounding him.....
What's wrong with this picture??

Well, if he did step back and remove his watch, he must have feared the crowd would theive it off his wrist. So much for being respected?

I didn't see Bush remove his watch, but to me, it looked more like happenstance than an intentional theft. His arm was in the crowd and a bunch of people were grabbing for him. To me, like I said, it looks like the watch just slipped off of his wrist.

Looked like he nearly dropped it or something because he was looking down for some reason just as the watch disappears.

A little FYI for those that haven't traveled the world or lived in other countries. I have spent many summers, even years in Europe/Mediterranean. I have family still there.

I have seen some of the best pick pockets in the world go to work, in many major cities and the people didn't even noticed it happened. We don't have them here in the USA like they do in Eastern Europe. Just ask anyone that is from a big city in Europe and ask them about the Gypsies. They will pick your pockets, fanny pack, purse, backpack, luggage, belt, necklace, watch and anything else that you think is attached.

You won't notice it gone until it is to late. People do this for a living, so they are good at what they do.
