Encouraging people to make believable UFO pics is the best thing the community can do at the moment. One of the best reasons is that it will let people express their creative sides. Many hoaxers just need a place to channel their creative sides. Giving them an avenue to do so will save allot of time wasted reviewing doctored images.

The second benefit is that members that are unsure as to what exactly can be produced today will be more informed as to what an individual is capable of. If ATS is about an informed membership objectively evaluating and studying - this will go a long way to raising the bar on information across the board.

In writing that I do realize that that cuts across the lines of Ones Beliefs and Objective Analysis. People with more objective views are willing to put thorough investigative values on UFO/Alien studies. People with heavier Belief system have a tendency to be more protective.

The water reflections is poor in those last pics. Take the last image and cut away the bottom half and it would make a nice fake

Here's a hoax image of a flying humanoid. I'm pretty sure you can't tell it's fake

ram why are you so against this idea

someone show me they can make some really good CGI UFOs like the ones that people are claiming are CGI in the "UFOS pics on C2C thread"

more then half of the ufo images now days are passed off as CGI so whats so wrong with tryin to make your own CGI UFOS and prove how easily it can be done and how realistic they can look

so far the "fake" ufo's in this thread are just blurs in stuff, which i new could be done but lets see some really good stuff... if it can be done

those who oppose my idea are getting the wrong idea..

if we can restrict these photos to this thread, and even have a little trademark caption on the bottom to prove it's for educational purposes.. we can go a loong way..

people who claim it's so easy to pass things off as cgi, honestly can't comprehend the time and effort that would be required to be put in to some of these videos and/or pictures..

people need to realise this IS one of the best ideas we can do at this time as far as the ufo community goes.. all we've gotten so far are pictures, videos, claims and stories.. we haven't got disclosure, any motive or nothing..

if we can do ANYTHING productive besides bickering over what we think is real or not by simply labeling it cgi, we might as well kick it up a notch and attempt to prove a valid point in this thread.

that point being, that pictures (for example, in the new c2c thread) which are claimed to be digitally created, or even being a model for that matter, doesn't take a cake walk to make!

people need to approach some of these events more logically, and that's sort of ironic considering that UFO's themselves would be considered illogical in our day in age as far as technology goes.

the pics of the lake ufo's make me think of mentos lol, anyway I think that at this point if we were shown a real pic of an alien ship or advanced black project aircraft we would probably say its fake just like with many of the alien pictures rolling around the net; I personaly think that we have been shown the real deal already but we have dismissed it as a cgi fake.

Check out this thread from UFO Challenge 2 years ago. There are a number of user made videos and images.

If you want to see the CG community get involved - Start a UFO challenge.
A majority of CG guys/gals are really into the subject matter and most are long time Sci-Fi fans. Extra terrestrials, alien life forms, UFOs, and spaceships are a given.

I agree this is a good reference, just so that people get an idea of how easy it is to hoax a picture and video. It looks extremely realistic...sometimes too good! What I despise most is the hoaxers that try to blur the line between amateurish video (bouncy camera, night footage, actors) and a good looking cgi ufo and cgi props. I have a hard time believing 99.9999% of ufo pics out there now days for obvious reasons.

I'd like to see the user Mr Mxyztplk post some work in here. He makes himself out to be this huge Photoshop expert so I'd like to see something from him. He thinks that just because Photoshop is seen in the summary of an image it's automatically a hoax. That doesn't mean anything at all and anyone who has any common sense knowledge of ANY photo editing software would know that.

Just a little sick of seeing this person call FAKE on any image he looks at for no more than 3 seconds.

Here is my first attempt.......it took 2 hours plus the 3d modelling.

I seriously doubt anybody would mistake that for the real deal.

Like I've been saying, all you need is time and a half decent understanding of some digital imaging software and faking these sort of things is not impossibly difficult.

I went for the Independence Day "mothership" look.

Gentlemen, start your engines..........tear this one apart !

I really like the last one Ram.....how about a spot of blur to kill the "crispiness" on the ufo.

Otherwise it looks pretty good.......
