Vatican Official Declares Extraterrestrial Contact Is Real

Credit where it's due though. Shadoww seems to have really gone out of his way on this one, which I am more than impressed with, even if he was lead asteay somewhat. Not many ATSers would think of calling the Vatican, or anyone for that matter, to research.

I seriously have tried to post everything i could find
And made a special effort to find truth in this whole story..
About Consolmagno. he was commisioned by the Vatican to write a boot about the possibilities of E.T. life in the Universe and what effects finding such would have on the Vatican.
He answers questions about baptizing an Alien (hypothetically), what it would mean to the religion, he accepts there is a big possibility of Aliens, although he considers them children of God like us and doesnt like the term Alien..

I disagree Springer, i agree with you on Balducci being wheeled out again..
According to him though, as of last year, he is still working at the vatican on a commission investigating Abductions, ufos and Disclosure.
This is what i thinkhe means by saying it is his own study, but the Vatican got him in to it.
Doesnt the fact the Vatican used him in the Disclosure of the 3rd secret of Fatima interest anyone???
It does me.. I mean if the Vatican have undeniably got him to disclose that, and he tells us he is on a Vatican comission that deals with coping with ufo disclosure... shouldnt we believe him???
It would tie in well with his other Vatican work..
Balducci being wheeled out again + Balducci stating about the Vatican Commission he is on (first time he admirttedit. live on Italian T.V.)+Coyne's statements + Vatican Shift in E.T. thought + Consolmagnos words & book he was commisioned to do + comments by other Jesuit priests in the thread = a little bit more than there was in 98 Springer, in fact a lot more..
Agreed , whilst we still do not have full disclosure, i am sure we are a few steps nearer to it!!

I agree. I give him kudos for his effort and work done to bring this to the forefront, abeit a few years too late, as I would with anyone doing a modicum of research.

I never had the first problem with the info he is bringing to us, it is the method in which he is doing it. His thread titles are saying one thing and the substance of his posts are saying another.

[opinion]A personal point of view is that it really isnt necessary to be a horses arse to people simply because they arent stroking your ideas or mindset. I mean, calling people names, being self agrandizing or pompous if they bring to the threads attn. an opposing viewpoint or bring to the forefront some inconsistencies? How far does he think that will get him in a serious discussion or debate? There is definately a more civil way of handling these things.[/opinion]

The recurring theme on this whole site is Denying Ignorance..
Some of the peoples views have been extremely Ignorant, so yes i have denied them, in fact they have denied themselves with their ignorance.
Lost Minds is on ignore.
One of his points against my thread was that there was no Vatican Official backing up Balducci, as i stated in the title of the thread.
Come on guys? is that worthy of a response?
Is not realizing Balducci is the Vatican official Ignorant???

In my opinion i am denying ignorance by keeping him, and others like him on ignore.

I apologize for digressing but I just finished a fictional book on this very topic. The quality of writing was nothing great but the issues presented were fascinating.

Ugh...never have I said that Balducci wasnt the Vatican Official. Of course he is THE Vatican Official. I have said however that he is no where shown to be speaking FOR THE VATICAN officially. Cant you not see the difference in these two statements? They are not the one and the same...

Shadoww is right. I have done research on the Cardinal also and Balduci is legit. As was the now deceased demonologist and exorcist Father Malachi Martin. People don't want to beleive that the Catholic Church researches demons, extraterrestrials, and the occult, but they are very interested in it - they study very much of what they are opposed to. Heck everyone knows the Vatican has the world's largest porn collection in it's libraries.

Shadoww, you are running into the same trap way too many "over zealous", preachy researchers run into. Mistaking civil debate, requests for verification or back up, questions or genuine disagreement with your perspective as "personal attacks and insults".

Nothing could be further from the truth and your "passion" is being exposed as rank zealotry when you make these kind of untrue allegations against your fellow members.

To make matters worse you openly admit you "ignore" anyone who disagrees with you.

You won't learn much by ignoring those would keep you on your toes and cause you to objectively question your own opinions and ideas.

ATS is NOT a bully pulpit, it IS a place for EXACTLY what shots et-al did in this thread with you. They politely asked for back up for your assertions and logically questioned the validity of your sources. And they were RIGHT to do it, this story is OLD NEWS combined with a marketing plan for a DVD and nothing more.

I have iggy'd only 3 people.
I havent iggy'd them because they dont agree with me.
I am totally open to argument and debate, i thrive of it... but i am guilty of demanding a bit of intelligence or research on your arguments before you try to slander me.
You say deny ignorance.. a lot of their posts show mass ignorance, disrespect for the op, name calling.. read through it, some of it is ott... so i deny it..
Not because it disagrees with me, but because its a unneeded drain and generally not worth a response with these few people.
Losing 3 people of the whole of ATS isnt a big deal, there are plenty of decent people to argue with who at least have some knowledge and decency about them..
I hope to learn a lot from here and also contribute, when i get on a subject my passion is intense and i can be a workaholic , it is good to have objective views, reasoned arguments and constructive problem solving.

it really doesnt suprise me the vatican is ancient and most possibly holds vast amounts of information never seen by a person save a priest even as a catholic myself i know the vatican is more than it claims

Sorry to come in late but it took me awhile to read all of this. And I've kept up with it the last few days. I've read what you write as what you speak and to me you sound very arrogant. You have to deny what anyone says about you because you're self centered and believe that you have no flaws. I'm wondering when you're gonna put Springer on ignore. Or maybe me now because I'm disagreeing with you. Springer is right when he says you don't deny ignorance by ignoring people. You say that they are ignorant and can't compete at your level so you ignore them. All they ask for is prove of what you are saying not what you think is happening. And I still don't see any prove of what you're saying to be true.
