Just wanted to say that when I saw the possible ships in the NASA footage I had the remote in my hand so I hit record, and then after about a minute they cut and went to some pictures of the rovers mechanical arms or something... I thought that odd. Why can't they just go ahead and make it official? It would make for much more interesting video clips.

Thoughtful of your comment I cannot say I have seen anything again exactly as this sighting. I compared it to Spielberg's Close Encounters, but that goes for the lighted bottom in general not for any exact reference.

Let me tell you the sighting was entirely clear, up close, and nothing like any of the out of focus stuff you see published. It was a machine, something astonishingly handsome in its appearance, with colorful lights on the bottom, but largely black in its general color. It was silent and moved in a steady way but slowly out of my field of vision. I was in no way frightened but possibly astonished although already facing other events in life that seemed just as important as sighting some UFO. I had an intuition that it was actually myself visiting from some unknown future, but that was only a passing fancy.

I am almost certain that others saw it even though no one was around and talking about it. There are many apartments in the area.

Hello Antar!

Well if I could keep in hand any Camera, or Cam Recorder from the point I first witness my sightings, would consist of having one on me at all times sinse I was 8 years old until now at 52! That would be tough. Regardless, I know what I have seen. As far as Dreams of such event's, no, just those that are typical of every day life that I sometime's I re-experence... anouther Topic there. But to continue with Topic, my Wife and I were in the Hot Tub mid January, while not looking at my wife, (which is hard not to under those condition's) Looking up, with no Cloud's in the Sky, I seen this streak of light cross my vision, at such a speed from the South, and came to a complete stop and hovered above us within I'd say a couple of miles.
At that moment, I told my wife to look up there! However, once said, it appeared like a Star, she could not define what I wanted to her to realize.
Within a minute, it totaly disappeared. Gone! I thought Damn, I hope they got a good Photo of my Wife! (Joking here of course). That event resembled my first sighting!

This time frame, 2004.

There is a simalar Topic ongoing here on ATS, that may need to be combined into this Forum. I just don't recall the Tread but very good input to be considered.

I will give anouther update of my last sighting, this was a couple of weeks ago. 8/2007.

Later Antar!

Jessemole.

Skipshipman, could you at some point give us an exact account of your close encounter down to the most minute details? I would like to discuss what your feelings were and how you see the event in retrospect. I have a gut intuition that there is more that you could share.

Jessemole, I love to hear about your personal life's experience and have the utmost respect for the fact that you adore your wife. What a fascinating time to be alive and to have someone to share theses types of experiences with is especially wonderful. Even if they do not actually have the encounter with you, at least they don't treat you like a weirdo for your convictions. I really think you could do a blog here with all of the experiences that you have and continue to have. I would read it if you do!

With all of the recent press coverage and respect that the forum has been receiving lately I just wanted to invite any new members to take some time and go to through this thread and read some of the great information people are sharing about their true encounters with UFOs.
I have never ceased to be amazed and privileged to be a part of this terrific thread.
People have been completely through in their explanations and the response has been very gentle, accepting and communicative in a positive way. I urge you to tell your story, as well as enjoying the stories of others.

Just wanting to remind everyone to keep a close watch on the skies over the coming months. Keeping a hand held camera close by while leaving home is an excellent idea in this day and age too, and not just for UFOs.

I was wondering how many people here on this board have actually seen an unidentified flying object? I have seen several in my lifetime, and it is interesting how some people have all the luck. Or is it luck? It is not easy to have sightings and not be able to prove it. Sometimes even seeing something unexplained can be debunked if you choose. With time memories fade, but interestingly, not with sightings. Once you have seen one you don't forget, even when most memories have faded the UFO experiences are remembered. At least that has been my experience and that of my family and friends. I am not talking about abduction on this post just sightings of unexplained or explained alien ships. I do not care to get into debate over it being a government test vehicle or alien technology. It does not matter, all awnsers are welcome provided the craft you have personally witnessed were beyond the current ability of our or any other military's capability.I will go mor into detail of past and not so past experiences if this thread moves in an interesting direction. I have been personally telephoned for information in the past reguarding "What I know" and so with that said, tell me what you have seen before I offer what I have declined to offer in the past.

I did once when I was oh...maybe 8-ish? My dad, my brother and I were taking my brother to Hunters Safety Course. When we got there, my dad spotted something in the sky. We stood and watched for a bit, and it obviously was NOT a plane. It actually fit the saucer-esque description of so many UFO's, but the thing I remember the most was that it was spinning. I know this because along the "rim" of the saucer, there were lights, red and white. You could actually see the lights gooing around the object, i.e. they weren't just flashing. The best way I can describe it without having a picture is as if 1/2 of the saucer's rim had no light...1/4 of it had white, and 1/4 of it had red. So you'd see the white light, then the red light follow it, then nothing, then white, then red, then nothing, etc.... The object was completely stationary, and made no noise. I also remember 2 other objects in the sky at the same time as well, but they very well could have been planes or something more terrestrial, althought I don't recall any noise coming from them either. I was more in awe of the stationary object. We stood and watched for a while, but having no camera, we decided to leave. As we were driving out of town, I looked back into the sky where the object was, and it was gone. There was nothing in the sky at all...not the saucer, and not the other 2 crafts. I was too young to really fathom what I was seeing at the time, but I'd give almost anything to see that again now.

I know a lot of you are probably like, "bah, he was only 8, he's probably got his story screwed up over time." That may be possible, but my memory of it is as vivid as if it happened yesterday...

Jaruselah, You are completley validated with your memories account of the craft you saw with your Dad. There is noone here that would ever dispute a story that heart felt! I am not alone in saying there is no doubt what you saw is real. Thankyou for contributing to this thread. I will check out your links tomorrow right now I am Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I've seen ufos for sure on three different occasions. All here in Denver. The first two looked like stationary radio tower becons. It was a pulsating red globe that stayed still for about five minutes and then floated away. The third time was a pair of brilliant white lights that flew in tandem, extremely high up. Intuitively I knew that all of these objects were non-human.

420 My Mom out on the deserted Carefree hwy once watched as several red lights like you described danced along in the sky for a couple of hours. They at some point joined with a large ship and dissapeared into it. Cool. It became her favorite experience out of many to come.

The second time I saw the red thing was at a very crucial and awful time in my life. I was alone at night in city park and was so distressed, on the verge of suicide and I sent out a though, asking, begging for a sign that I wasn't really alone. The I saw it flying towards me. It was something that gave me faith and strength.

Hello antar...

I attempted to reply sooner, however I was in a middle of a reply when a huge thunderstorm that came through and knocked out power. Now I must start over. Before doing so, I'd like to express my further insight of you! After reading your replies to others, there is a profound element of how you share your true feelings to us, and it does enhance my little time to share...

If I recall the time frame correct, it was 3 weeks ago. As mention before, I support your/and other's sleepling habit's. So it was at night on my way to work, that I came to my normal stop to get a touch of coffee, Just before I pulled into the entrance, I seen this most distinct glow about 1/4 mile from where I was... as I pulled into a stop, this sighting went below the tree lines, and it went out of sight from where I was. I took the moment to enjoy the coffee outside, and looking into the direction of what I had seen prevoius, again appeared this glow of Light! Now having the time to look closer while standing there, it appeared to hover over a very populated area of homes that were there. At times moving very fast, and then it would again slow to a point of being still... Then the glow disapated.

While I headed to work from there, I continued to look into the sky, and seen nouthing but stars. But I'm certain, of what I had seen before, this was the real deal!

Thanks again Antar for asking!

I will keep you posted if more events take place, otherwise I trust others will share to answer your question!

I will consider you suggestion regarding a Blog... at this time, I'm so Time-Taxed, that I only take this time as a moment away from allot of grief I continue to deal with in this life as we know it.

Later!
Jessemole.

Oldtimer2 is there any way you could get your brother to expound a bit more on his experience? It is rather interesting to get those kinds of accounts and what used to be punishable by prison or worse is now being declassified more and more and this is where the whistle blowers are coming out more and more and they are the ones people that are fence, feel more comfortable to believe. Thankyou for your interesting experiences, please feel free to share more.

Jessemole!! I TOLD you to start keeping a camera! The time frame for your last experience is noteworthy with all of the volcanoes, earthquakes and tornadoes and hurricanes. Is there a chance that there is a large body of water near the area you saw the glowing light? As always we appreciate your continued input and insights.

I came on to the thread to ask a question, Does anyone ever simply SENSE the presence of a UFO? I have seen on many occasions a flash of light that rolls across the sky and then disappears. I often wonder if it could be a craft that is cloaked. I only see it out of my peripheral vision and by the time I look directly at it it is gone. Some people call them rods I think, I am not certain.

One more thing. I am considering a PODCAST. It will be dedicated to the same subject matter as this thread. Eventually I would love to get telephone interviews about 5 minutes long on the average with the people that have posted here. You can read books and interviews all day long on credible witnesses but it seems that the average Joe is being discredited or ignored in Ufology. Both are important in my opinion. Let me know if you are interested either here or by U2U. I will await your response.

Have i seen a UFO?

Well....no...

and that's despite the fact that I have stuidied the whole wonderful, frustrating, engaging subject for as long as I can remember.
I watch the skies, not in a limp jawed way, but I do pay attention whenever I can. Despite this, nothing has decided to reveal itself from behind the nearest strato cumulus, no sphere has ever materialized on any photo I've taken, and not a single disc has skipped across my line of sight.

Those facts, as far as I'm concerned, contribute to a serious pain in the backside.
I really want to see a UFO.
It doesn't matter which type; it could be a saucer, a cigar, even an amorphous blob.
Doesn't matter.
Any one will do.
You listening up there, guys?

Why I haven't seen one, despite the fact that I firmly believe other, far more professional folks have, that and the overwhelming amount of evidence that something is up there, simply cancels out any other possibility. Perhaps it's not right for me to see them. Perhaps I simply look up just as they slip back under cover. Whatever the explanation is, it's never going to chip away at my own belief system.
IMO UFOs exist.
IMO that's a given.

Yes I have seen one, and it was something I couldn't and still can't explain. In 1976 when I was about 6 years old we were looking (my parents and myself) at houses and where in a place called 'pont head'. (Small village just outside of Consett, Durham, England).

After viewing one house and my parents obviously hating it, as well as being inside a car and various houses on a very hot summer day, my dad parked the car at the side of the road on top of a hill and opened the doors to try and get some heat out of the car.

While we were sitting there my dad noticed something in the sky and asked me and my mother what we thought it was. As it was saucer shaped and had tripod legs and looked for all the world like it had just flew off a 60's film set we both said the same thing.

It appeared to be a dull but reflective white metal about 300 feet in the sky. It had every appearance of being solid and stayed still for about 2 mins before shooting off at high speed.

I can't explain it away as some sort of group hallucination etc..... this was (or appeared to be) a solid thing in the sky that none of us then or now could explain. The fact that this thing looked like something out of a film in the way is was designed (I suppose you could call it a classic saucer) is what makes the least sense to me.

Its also why I debunk any hoax I come across, just because some footage is hoaxed does not mean all sightings are. Well thats my story of my one and only UFO encounter... not very exciting but still rather puzzeling to me 30 year later.

Wayne...

Beamish you are so cool and I appreciate your intelligence. Very few would take the position that you do had they not encountered the phenomenon for themselves. I often wonder if I had not seen many different types through out the years if I could be so open minded. I can only hope so. I wish so badly that my husband could experience something , anything too. Thank you so much for your unique contribution to this thread. And please come back often with your ideas and discoveries.

Wayne, Not in the Least Bit Dull! Are you serious? Not many entire families have had the experience together and then for all of you to have recall of the event many years later? You must be a special family and it is a very welcome addition to our thread.

Yup, they be out there. We are not alone. Five different sightings in 12 yrs. I lived on the northcoast of lake erie for 5 yrs in the 80's and never saw squat with an unlimited view over lake except for a pretty cool aurora borealis display in '89. Then I bought a house in south Cleveland in old brooklyn and have had 5 sightings. Go figure. They range from disappearing white spheres to illuminated glowing yellow clouds. And they freak the hell out of me. I went to google 4.0 to check out my house, and there is a gray metallic looking star trek looking freak right over my house. Yes Dorothy, we're not in Kansas anymore.
