Who are YOU telling to get it done? WHO made YOU a General? I got an idea: YOU get it done, if you want it so bad. Get off your arse and join the Army.

Loads of people here wanna see death on a grand scale, but you pro-war pansies rarely seem to have the guts for going in yourselves.

What I am saying is stop them before it goes any farther, look Russia pulled out, we know they have been sending insurgents into Iraq,
they may be what it takes to get control of that region.

Well that is debatable, the territorial waters in the area have highly
disputable borders, so much so that one map shows one set of borders,
and another shows a different set.

I think this really was Iran deciding they were going to do this, just to
be prats.

No, we don't.
We know some people who were from Iran were acting on the side of
insurgents, however that does not mean they were acting under the
orders of the Iranian government, it may be that they were part of
the Revolutionary Guard, which does'nt actually report to any part of
the Iranian government and basically does what it wants.

Starting a war with Iran would be a huge mistake, if you really must
do something, covertly help anti-government groups in Iran itself.

Havent the British soliders admitted they were in the waters though?
And I cant see Iran kidnapping coalition soliders so publically FROM coalition zones.. thats a major kick in teh balls to the coalition from Iran... frankly.. I dont think Iran are that stupid.

The US have already admitted they make incursions into Iranian territory, so we know ITS NOT past them from entering iranian area's....

Wether the british did get lost, or purposly entered iranian waters..
IRan have every right to do what they are doing.

Whats the chances Iran put a merchant ship so close to the border, on their side..

knowing full well the british would inspect it...?

Tehran claims the captured sailors have confessed to entering Iran illegally. But the British government insists they were in Iraqi waters and has demanded their immediate release.

Source.

Both governments are saying exactly what you'd expect them to say. Who's to say which is telling the truth? Certainly no one on these boards.

Hmm... i suppose testimony from captured soliders under duress from the captors isnt acceptable as admission........ or is it ?

Agit8d, I think you're getting ahead of yourself. Have you seen the testimony? I certainly haven't. Why on earth would you put more stock in the propaganda coming out of Tehran, than the propaganda coming out of London?

A good point. We dont know whether or not they were in Iranian territorial waters or not. All we have is testimoney from both sides who could have equal stake in a lie. Lets wait and see how it pans out before we make a decision.

Get what done? ignite a full scale war in the Middle East? Give our military a war that is even more unwinnable than the one in Iraq is now? And just to make it clear since you seem to NOT understand the whole Iranian regime, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is but a puppet. There is a council of clerics that truly run things.

The neocons are clearly deluded if they think we would be welcomed with open arms if we invaded Iran. You cannot bomb them out either.

This looks like another gulf of tonkin...

Its amazing how it happened not too long ago, yet people dont remember, Israel did the exact same thing, literally, with Lebanon. They sent troops into Lebanese territory, they got captured, and boom we had the massacre that ensued.

This seems to me to be another attempt by the Elitists to try to launch the West into a war with Iran, and further embroil the surrounding countries into participating, which is exactly what theyre pushing for, just look at some of the things Bush is saying to those countries...

They want war in the Middle East. Period. They want the region to descend into chaos, how more clear does it have to be?

Oh by the way, and what is next now for Iran? Whats the latest move for the west? Ahh more sanctions on the Iranian people! Yes! They had nothing to do with it, so why make them pay by putting sanctions?

Corrupt. This is corrupt to the core, its the Elite vs the People, its always been that way throughout history.

...My god. It's almost as if I'm in some typical American "political" forum...seeing threads like this and all. UFO deniers I can understand (barely), but this rubbish is the least I'd expect to see on an alternative news forum. Amazing...

Some advice for those of you at the same level of intelligence as the thread starter: If you want people to actually agree with you on subjects like this, go watch Fox News or perhaps visit the following forum.

patriotdebate.com...

I think you'll find yourself right at home there.

Enjoy!

FOR WHAT?

they have no right to detain my fellow country men who happened to be carrying out a legal stop and search in Iraqi waters, the kind of patrol which goes on all the time, helping to bring about stability to the region. The Iranians knew this was a routine patrol there could be no doubt, unlike 2004n which was right iside a narrow waterway

They have every right to do what there doing...
