NO !

His “ cred “ as an IT technician was questioned because he displayed basic ignorance regards quite simple IT issues

His vocabulary , writing style , idioms , slag etc was questioned – because I do not believe that he is an American born serviceman [ naval ]

I know bloody well I have never questioned his grammar or typos – because that would make me a chuffing hypocrite

TFT did claim to be a IT2 (comp tech) in the navy ( why are you guys questioning that? I can just as easily question a whole lot of you guys as well).

And I for one do not believe he is a navy sparky

PS - Feel free to question my credentials – I have nothing to hide

PS – as you cite your experience in dockyard maintainance – please apply it

As you have to interact with a slice of the crew every time a vessel berths in your dockyard – you must be familiar with how they talk – yes ?

Now why do you think that TFT is a naval comp tech

Also, in his original post ( as well as his original thread) he did say that the events in question took place about 3 years ago. Now, lets be honest here. You guys say (and I've also noticed) many inconsistancies (sic) in both his stories. But, like I said, he is an IT, and from how he has forgotten exact details is just a sign of a man who lived his life being too occupied with his work environment. I know how it feels like to suddenly try to remember an event from 3+ years ago. Its hazy and many facts aren't there.

Even when , as he claims he he has the logs and documentation which he downloaded @ the time [ allegedly ]

As far as for him not sharing the files anymore, he probably has the feeling of ridicule, because you guys have called him short of a liar since about the beginning. Someone comes forward, and you skeptics yell liar.

Only when the facts contradict his claims

As for “ ridicule “ if he really was navy or ex navy he should have more intestinal fortitude

Well, I have been a welder/shipfitter since 1998 up until2003. And I have no reason to question who you are, you bloody brit! :b And I will let you know that yes, I am familiar with some of the lingo from all ranks, but, you would be amazed to know that they (squids, sailors) speak to you in an everyday manner, using slang and what not like every one else. It doesnt necessarily mean TFT is not navy. You know, if he gets caught it is serious reprecussions for him right. Give him the benefit of the doubt.

Hmmm....like I said, he/she is in the Navy....not the marines!!! *bows before posting response!*

It did look like he was on the tail of a triangle craft.

By the two dark areas that show up as a line or oval of
dark area.

Too sketchy, was it glowing, did it have black areas, nothing.

What happened to the submarine shaped object in the water.

potted an air contact, it appeared to be a capsule shaped (wingless, mobile, white, oblong pill shaped, 25-30 feet in length, no visible markings and no glass) 5

That would be the triangle craft. With million volt plasma generators
you won't see details only a blur.

Barring further supporting evidence, the video appears to me to be neither "great" nor "the best I've ever seen" - not by a long shot. But I'll stay on the fence for the time being, to see if TFT comes up with the promised collaborative documentation. For now, I'm leaning toward the not-so-ignorantApe and followers. As a pilot and former military myself, the explanations are plausible, though vindictive toward, a perpetrated hoax.

With increasing frequency it seems postings of 'evidence' like this somehow quickly degenerate into a thread of mudslinging with substantial banter aimed at personal creds rather than discussion or analysis of the submitted 'evidence'. Personally I find this more than a distraction - in fact it is quite a sad reflection of our collective mindset.

Anyway - thanks for yet another clip of a grainy, out-of-focus, distant spot on a piece of film that has been presented to us as the 'greatest, best-ever, can't-be-anything-but-a UFO'. *sigh*

Maybe someday someone will take a nice, color, hi-res close-up of a disc-shaped craft performing out-of-this-world maneuvers. Of the 'thousands' of images and clips so far - nothing clearly irrefutable has been produced.

This one certainly isn't it...

Onward!

Thanks for posting - good luck - and keep looking up!

Since you are a pilot, you can explain what is on the vid in detail, right? Or did what Willard say (on page 4) is a lie?

wow...

you ask for high res close ups? did you ever stop to think that not every one has that kind of money to buy such tech? and when they do film it is for some reason, shaky and grainy. but when a clear vid, or pic comes out, it is, without heistation called a hoax and a lie and the author is quickly degenerated into scum.

We can get satalite photos of license plates...hunt terrorists with remote drones, and have a clear video of Paris Hilton doing the deed, but UFO videos are as shakey and fake as the big foot "Footage"...great job guys

Just because he is a pilot and ex-military doesn't mean he flew fast jets in the military. Plenty of military personnel from non-flying musterings get their private pilots license. Or if they do fly in the military, they may be transport, helo, maritime patrol etc.

As for me lying, you'll just have to make your own mind up. But I haven't been challenged by anyone on what I have said. If you want more detail, then I'm happy to answer any questions. But I've pretty much told everyone what I know on page 4. The video is inconclusive. I've read through the original post (the one that got trashed) which has given me context on a few things. I'm still waiting to see the powerpoint and notes (I was on last night at home, but didn't see TFT logged on, so the chat never happened. As I said in another post, I'm happy to provide my hotmail address to TFT. I don't care about names. But having been involved with tactics analysis, I can pretty easily reconstruct the event, and reach a conclusion). Once I've seen as much as I can, I'll make a decision on whether I believe this to be a hoax, or potentially the real deal. I will post these reasons for all to see. I do believe that everyone should see all the evidence, but if TFT wants to run it by me first, then that is their perogative. However, the evidence needs to be provided very soon.

I don't normally hang around the UFO forum, but I stumbled across this and thought I could lend some expert advice. If that advice is not wanted, I'm happy to retreat back to the safety of the aircraft forum!

Hey Waynos,

I see what you were getting at now, and you're right. I was talking from the perspective of the original story. You were talking from the perspective of the aircraft type.

I can't see anyway of positively IDing the aircraft type by the DDI. It looks very much like the display on the Hornet. But I haven't seen too many other DDIs (operationally that is) other than the F-16. I haven't got a clue if the upgraded Phantom had similar tech.

Other than the stuff I discussed on page 4, the video isn't going to prove conclusive one way or the other IMHO.

I'm going to stand by my original argument against this: something of this sort would be classified unto a whole new level then top secret for the average personal with such clearance to cull.

Even if this was true, and of coarse like everyone else i would love to have the truth finally. Sadly this will never happer. There are too many parties involved. The one that would suffer the most damage is that of UFOlogists, authors on the subject and companies that thrive off the UFO/Alien theory. There goes all their money. Even the people who travel the world doing seminars and talks on the subject would lose some serious cash.....Money talks and no one is willing to give up the cash cow fpr anything. Be prepared to never find out the truth. This insures the collection of cash.

Just my thoughts. This subject is and always will be one of my favorites.

Wow, what a crock.

I only read the first and part of the second page, but I agree with the fellow ATS members who I know, know what there talking about, this vid and story is complete rubbish.
I had high hopes while reading (waiting for the vid to download) and what do I see, a screen that looks like a fighter jet HUD and a dot of light.

If anyone has to impress their opinian so much on other people there is something that is not right, as in telling us to go whack off to debunking theories.
The way to go about this is give the vid and story and just leave it for others to decide on their own.
You may even learn a few things on the way...

TFT has had plenty of time to come forward. In his U2Us he said that he had no worries about the interview ‘cause it was all true; but when it came time to meet up with Willard who is very proficient on the subject matter TFT could not be found.

Well, all this is over in just 7 pages; probably would’ve gone on for 50+ without the aircraft forum’s help. The last U2U that TFT read from me was a copy of a U2U from Shattered Skies offering to get TFT in touch with other ex-military for further verification. Lol, TFT was literally surrounded with the real deal.

ATS’s members’ knowledge is ATS’s greatest asset and in this case it was used to run off a hoaxer in short order. Ignorant Ape was exactly right on his call of hoax from the beginning, good job! And to the Aircraft forum, good job! The mods, good job! The contributing members, good job!

Note to Majic: Can you please ban thefinaltheory for all time please? If not, could you please remove all his U2Us and points?

See y’all on the board,

STM

Indeed.

I'd still like to know if the video was done by the group of German student film makers that I named as suspects on Page 1 of this thread...

I hope that the thread does not end without the people behind the video having the common decency to answer some questions - such as which software package(s) they used to make the video (Adobe After Effects, Combustion or something else).

If the thread is simply ended, there will still be some members of ATS that view the allegation of hoax to be unproved, and the video will continue to circulate on the Internet.

Also, for the next time that someone pops up on ATS claiming to have additional evidence but stating that he has difficulties sharing it by email or uploading it to a website, I'll simply note that you can upload files using a free file storage website - such as yousendit at the link below.

You can transfer files up to 100 Mb using yousendit.com completely free of charge and it's very easy to use (particularly after you've done it once). Just in case, here are some step by step instructions:

(a) Click on this link: www.yousendit.com...

(b) Enter your own email address in the top two boxes (i.e. recipient's email address and your email address). Don't bother with a message to yourself...

(c) In the line beginning "Select a file" just click on browse and find the first relevant file on your computer. Leave the other options blank.

(d) Then just click on "send it".

(e) Wait until the relevant file has been uploaded (which, for the size of file you are talking about, should only take a few seconds on broadband). The screen should then display a link below a message stating "Here is the link for the file you uploaded:"

(f) Post that link on this Forum. Anyone can then click on that link to download that file.

(g) Repeat for any further files.

Kind Regards,

Isaac Koi

TFT was working with cometa2. I just checked his/her profile and he was on the board yesterday, he may check back today. It would be interesting to know more about this.

I didn't realise that COMETA meant a french UFO report published some time ago.
www.ufoevidence.org...

So Cometa the member must have had some knowledge on Ufology to stir up his own hoax. As for Thefinaltheory:

www.thefinaltheory.com... Some way out book. Maybe he wanted us to search his name so we would buy it.HAHAHA..
