The US citizens like wars like nazis leaders because they are not affected by war and like to see a show on TV and explosions. Those for the war, you're brainwashed by years of Hollywood propaganda and morbid desires.

If america would be bombed to hell, have gas and food shortages, they would not want to go to war. After Iran who will it be? Russia? China? North Korea? Venezuela?

I'm pretty sure that if Iran is attacked, China or Russia will move against US assets, maybe Taiwan or South Korea. They can't not move or they are stupid to wait until this all ends into a nuclear war.

Gates is stupid, he thinks we believe his crap about the biggest move of forces since 2003 is just to help Iraq and make Iran wet their panties. Yeah right. And the bombers in Bulgaria? And the double of strategic oil reserves? And the accusations of meddling in Iraq? And the Iraq failure blame on Iran? There's UK mine sweepers also near Iran. Patriot missiles batteries. F-117s in South Korea. US is financing revolting groups in Iran. The US is arming Abbas in Palestine. The US is financing revolting groups in Lebanon. The US attacked an Iranian counsul in Iraq. Troops surge. American air patrol near Iranian border. Karbala propaganda.

The next 6 weeks will be very importants.

From LeFigaro, a french newspaper, said that with the US vessels near Iran, it would be able to strike Iran 24hours a day for 30/40 days.

That's only 4 carrier groups, we've got more. Time for another 100,00 troops in Iraq to finally stabilize things. At the same time bomb Iran's nuclear capabilities back about 40 years.

I've been there. If you haven't, don't believe all the crap you see on TV. We were making progress until external influences (Syria, Iran, wishy-washy American politicians) sent the whole thing to hell in and hand-basket.

Obviously, you haven't learnt much over there. Washington doesn't seem to understand it either. Whether 100,000 or 1,000,000 additional soldiers will be deployed, the insurgency won't stop.

In the last 14 months (2006-now) 974 soldiers died while in the first 14 months ''only'' 846 died. I don't think I have to show you the figures of civilian and Iraqi police/security force casualties.

Are you kidding yourself? Things are getting better, yeah right, dream on.

Full scale image
I don't see a decreasing pattern.

It's one big disaster and sooner or later it will become one place full of terrorists. This war is a lost cause and the US could better pull out its troop as soon as possible.

The damage has been done, the US failed to win the hearts and minds of the majority of Iraqi civilians when they were able to do so and they don't want American democracy.

F117 squadron just sent to South Korea. F-22 squadron being sent to Japan Feb.10th for at least a 120 day deployment.

600 Patriot missle batteries are on their way to the Gulf region. They are going to be used to protect allies and oil fields.

This one is going to happen real soon unless Iran decides to back down.

And anyone who equates Iran with civilized western democracies in the search for nuclear power is just loony. Iran is threatening genocide on a daily basis and should be taken seriously before it's too late. Just remember 1939 and how much different things would've been if the world did something about Germany disregarding the conditions of the WW1 surrender.

There's no parallel between Iran and 1939 Germany. If Iran really want to carry out genocide, then, Why don't they just start killing the 35,000 Jews living inside Iran now?

THEY KEEP THE SEA LANES OPEN FOR COMMERCE, BOTH FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC, WITHOUT THEM YOU MAY END UP BURNING YOUR OWN DUNG FOR FUEL!

THINK ABOUT IT! THE US NAVY KEEPS THE SEA LANES OPEN! DO YOU THINK THE IRANIANS CARE ABOUT YOU!

I DON'T AGREE WITH THE POLICIES OF THIS ADMINISTRATION, BUT I SUPPORT OUR MILITARY THEY ARE US CITIZENS DOING THEIR JOB, WHETHER THEY WANT TO OR NOT!

MAYBE SOME OF THE OTHER COUNTRIES SHOULD ANTE UP AND PAY FOR THIS SERVICE THAT IS PAID BY THE AMERICAN TAX PAYER! MAYBE A US NAVY TAX SHOULD BE PUT ON ANYTHING SHIPPED ON THE OCEANS!

Talk about a BS rant. Thats all I can really say.... BS rant... I think the Iranians care more than the US government does, should be the opposite but they DO! They oppose zionism and imperialism, which is exactly what is being used against americans by their own government.
Just following orders, exactly what the Nazis said during the Nurembourge trials, and they got executed. Just following orders is no excuse and never has been unless your an idiotic fool who is more than guilty and is trying to hide it.

No BS rant here, dealing in facts and reality, not bigotry and igonorance!

Tell me, who controls the sea lanes for commerce?

Tell me, why do you hate the US and Israel?

Tell me, do you approve of the intolerence of Shia Islam?

Tell me, do you enjoy living in a fantasy land?

You may disagree with me, but this is the world we live in, deal with it!

Or perhaps good men/women could realize the folly of this and halt their service, a strike of sorts aimed at the U.S military and government. Just because you are told to carry out a certain action which is obviously unethical, it does not mean you should. You have the choice not too.

Getting back to the post, 4 carrier groups are heading to Iran. Looks like an attack on Iran is immenent next month. I think it is a mistake, but I am not the "decider"

I think it would be a good idea to update this post with the progress of the carriers to brace for the reprecussions of high fuel prices and possible shortages! Not to mention the carnage and spreading of the war to other regions!

God Help all of us!

THANK YOU LUXI FOR REALIZING PART OF WHAT I WAS SAYING!!!!

Mel, quit trying to wrap yourself in the American flag and trying to demonize those who oppose your ideals as anti-americans. You are no better than the current administration in your actions.
Sea lanes are controlled internationaly by more than one navy, who said I hate the USA? YOU DID! I never did.... your putting political bias and spin on this. You are trying to push your propaganda and make yourself look superior by making yourself look more "patriotic" which is backfiring.
Shia? Hmmm..... when have they threatened me.... hmmm.. NEVER! Fantasy land? I live in reality, how about you? You are putting forth false claims... and bias as well as propaganda draiped in the American flag of patriotism, or I should say: Fake patriotism or BLIND patriotism.
Live in the real world... I do.... deal with it? I guess you are spinning your own truth and lies again to suit your propaganda needs. Oh well, not going to spend time arguing with someone who is blatant about propaganda use and and acts so dishonorably and cannot have a conversation without attacking the speaker.

The consequences will be very similar. May I also add that radical Muslims are currently killing Jews everywhere in the Middle East. Almost 100% of the violence around this globe is associated with Islam. Religion of peace my arse! So called peaceful Muslims stand by and say or do nothing as radical Muslims commit horrible acts all around the world. Do you know why? Because the radical Muslims are actually following the Koran. I listened to a recent interview with prominent Muslim here in the USA and he was asked if Osama Bin Laden was a good Muslim. He paused and had to say yes. That should scare the hell out of anyone who thinks this will be resolved peacefully. Every non-Muslim is an infidel and Islam commands that if we do no convert we are to be slaughtered. Quite a difference from how Western cultures for the most part embrace all cultures.

So, supporters of the current regime in Iran. If you wish for Shia Law to be implemented where you live then carry on your support. Myself, I do not support the degredation of women that includes no school for many, and forcible circumcision (remove their clit to prevent enjoyment of sex)! It is a barbaric culture that wishes to forcefully implement their law at all costs.

But back on topic, the attack is coming soon and it should have been the focus instead of Iraq. I believe Iraq was targeted first with the thinking it would be an easy victory before moving to Iran. Unfortunately because of the screw ups in Iraq, trust is very low even with Iran threatening the West and Israel on a daily basis and declaring their nuclear intentions and future proliferation with other Muslim countries. Even Saddam didn't do this.

I would like to see if more assasinations could divert all out war but I don't think that will happen. It's better to cut the head off of the snake now instead of waiting for his bite and hoping it's not a fatal blow. One promised nuke on Israel is all it would take for Iran to fulfill it's constant promise to drive Jews into the Sea.

Vekar, I am a patriot, but I am a realist. You are mistaken about the sea lanes they are controled by the USA not the UN. You need to go on the USN web sites and see that the commands are set up to keep the sea lanes open, because we need oil to be free flowing for our economy. If you think sea lanes are international controlled only in the fact that international ships may pass through unhindered under the good gracies of the USN. We could shut them down at any time!

Last time I checked the UN didnt care about the sea lanes, never said they controlled it. Internationally though yes, Taiwan HAS to, the philipines HAVE too, but guess what? They still fail miserably. Pirates still nock off ships, and frankly we should never be importing that much to begin with, it just goes to prove that there is a record deficite in trade. FAR too much import and almost no export.
As for the barbarism (not you 64) that is something to be addressed a different way, BESIDES the US government is not talking about that, they are talking about nukes remember? They have not ONCE talked about human rights... Oh wait, they will do that AFTER they start blowing the place up! That way they keep the christian fanatics backing them! OH! And guess what! SAUDI ARABIA AND KUWAIT HAVE SEVERE HUMAN RIGHTS DEGREDATIONS! BUT THEY ARE ALLIES! Double speak is heavy around here! If you want to talk about human rights LOOK AT THE PEOPLE YOU CALL ALLIES AND FRIENDS FIRST! ALSO LOOK AT WHO YOU ARE FUNDING FIRST!

Well you apparently do not want to debate the facts because this post makes no sense and is nothing more the rhetoric. Why don't you educate yourself with some facts and figures to back up your rhetorical arguments?

Carrier Update

Add on top of the surge deployment of the USS Reagan which has now entered the 7th fleets operation area. The operation area of the 7th fleet extends to East Africa and the Indian Ocean. Its getting a little scary!

Why is that a surprise? Where else do you want the American Carriers to be??

You'd like to see those nice grey ships rusting in their docks? Ah no way... That wouldnt be any fun!

I do not think that Iran is anti-Jew exactly. The Iranian president's main objection to Israel is that Palestine had nothing to do with the Holocaust and why wasn't Germany forced to give up its land instead for the Jewish state.
