same can go for:

US vs. China
Russia vs. China
russia vs. US
Europe vs. Russia
Britian vs. russia.

My point is it is harder for an empire to fall these days due to nuclear weapons at each others disposal. (war and attack terms of falling) Nuks are a countries trump card........


For example IRAQ....... do you think we would have ammased 200,000 troops in iraqi borders if they had nuclear weapons......would have been to risky.

Money is created, at least it is in a country run similar to ours. What about countries like Iraq that dont do things like we do. How do they get their money? Do you know? Ill tell you. We buy their oil. We buy their labor. We buy, we buy, we buy! And on top of that, the United States gives financial aid to these countries. WE invest time and money over there to not only benefit them, but to benefit ourselves.

With that being said, if you think that we shouldnt be extrememly interested in what goes on over there, then you have no idea of how the economy works. How the world economy works.

I am interested in helping the needy / poor / feeding the hungry etc.. I just wish there were different ways to go about it instead of war !

You are right in one aspect, I do not know a lot about the middle east and other countries, I'll give you that.

It's my understanding that we're fighting the war in Iraq, becuase Saddam was supposed to have had WMD ?

I know his people were mistreated and abused, etc, but that wasn't the reason that we were given for going over there with our military.

I simply meant, if another country wants to boost up it's army or defense systems, who are we to do something about it ? I know that our safety comes first or at least it should. Is this the right way to think, I don't know ? It was just an opinion.

Yes I would like happiness for all, and for all to have an equal opportunity, here at home in the USA, I sometimes don't care what goes on around the world, until the USA gets involved and then I try to pay attention and think about it myself.

I don't claim to be a "know it all", by any mean, up until just a few years ago, I didn't care about politics and our government, I just lived my life and minded my business, but as I get older, I'm learning that I better start caring, I see that the things our government does, really affects me directly.

I never went to college, hell, only did enough in high shchool to get by ( c avg student ) I didn't care then.

I do alright for myself now, very successful in my career and have lots of opportunity. So the fact that I am not as "smart" in the ways of the world doesn't bother me.

Seems like they are wanting to use nukes in future battles but these ones won't have the normal fallout.

USA started it's rise at the start of the 20th century. It's steel production & industrial base began to rise sharply and the introduction of the assembly line in 1913 only accelerated it's rise.
